Jessica’s books revolve around killings and donuts.

Beck naturally likes trying different types of donuts recipes which is also well portrayed in most of her books. The various formulas for preparing donuts in the series have been tried and most people claim that they have worked. Her other hobbies are climbing and hiking In North Carolina, where she lives, she takes pleasure from the snowfalls that are around her homestead. Jessica Beck’s books are very captivating to read. The pages easily turn themselves and you can never find yourself on a roadblock. The ideas flow smoothly. The secret on how to make the recipes is a contributing factor.

The easy flow of her stories and comfortable use of terminology renders her books to be reader-friendly. Individuals from different background can peruse the series with ease. This is why it is possible to read one book daily. They are short and precise as compared to most authors who write long novels with unclear ideas. The ending of her volumes are unpredicted. They will always make you desire to scan the next volumes and you find yourself reading one book to another without getting bored. As you peruse, you will be prepared for anything which keeps your suspense on board throughout.

She is continuously turning out a new volume. This is very ordinary from the other writers. When you finish reading one book that is not the end of it. You will not be kept on the waiting like for years for her to produce another manuscript. Her name is always in repute just like her books are one after the other. This attribute is charming to the favorite readers. Once you start perusing her books, you will never come to a stop. This is what makes Jessica Beck a popular and loved writer. One of Beck’s book, The Old Fashioned Crooks, a part of the Donut Mysteries is a good place to begin scanning. In this manuscript, Beck portrays the investigative mysteries to be solved. This takes place during a party at the Spring Night Celebration, when Emma’s boyfriend is found dead lying at the centre of a bonfire that is burning. He was the assistance at the donut shop and his behavior was considered awful. This gives Suzanne and Grace an opportunity to explore their exploration skills when as they commence to find out about the murder. They also have a counterpart, Jake who aids them in the investigation.

The three make a good team however, a point reaches where they find themselves into trouble when the search turns to be even more threatening. They have to free Emma’s name at the same time to get to the bottom of the killing. It demands highly of their capability. It is very interesting how they pick up evidences. They interrogate people who come to buy from the donut shop in a normal friendly way. Sometimes they search proof in open cases offered by their comrades. The team also explains to the officers how to question individuals when getting answers to their results.

A point reaches when Suzanne gets disappointed due to one of the police officers cautioning her from getting involved in the killing investigation. Jessica Beck portrays Suzanne as too domineering. Suzanne is getting more and more miserable as the story goes on. The series keeps you moving as it is very compelling to the readers. Usually, it is hard to tell when a killing will take place. You will just be surprised by the murder when it happens. Beck also presents the theme of romance in this volume of The Old Fashioned Crooks. There is romance between Suzanne and Jake. It will compel you to want to read the next volume to find out how life will suit them in the new town. The characters’ background that Becky brings out is out of the ordinary.

Another remarkable volume is the Bad Bites. Chester is killed on the very same day when he was to retire. He is the brother to Chief Martin. Jake, Suzanne’s’ boyfriend is at that time the state police inspector. He takes this opportunity to preside over the case. Suzanne Hart is the owner and organizer of the donut shop in April Springs, North Carolina. Her husband, Max divorces her .She becomes popular after being an actor whereby she is known as the great impersonator. Suzanne has also a hobby she likes which is baking donuts. Jessica, the author, uses this character to present the different types of donuts that can be made. This is what leads Suzanne opening up that shop. Due to the many killings that take place near her shop, it becomes well-known scenery for crimes. This brings about people from the city jetting in the shop not because of donuts but also due to the curiosity to get more details about the crimes. Suzanne is warned severally by a retired Sherriff to be cautious about these scenarios. Suzanne even founds herself in trouble when she becomes a mistrusted person.

Suzanne and Grace also join in to find out about the killing. It is interesting when these investigators call together a meeting on the mountains together with the suspects. One is fascinated as anything can happen at that point. The dialogues that take place are very compelling .The larger-format that Beck uses are suitable for readers. The recipes incorporated in the story help break the monotony of the killing exploration. It is a sigh to the readers as you are given time to relax and relieve all the anxiety associated with the terror.
