The main character of Pia has had a unique life far different from those that other teens may have experienced. A young girl, Pia spend her formative years growing up in the midst of a secret laboratory. The lab was placed deep back in the depths of the very large Amazon rain forest. So what was a girl like her doing in a place like that?

Pia was brought up thanks to the collective effort of a group of scientists. These scientists created her in a sense with the goal of having her be the origin point. She would start an entirely new race that was, effectively, immortal. The reasons for keeping this lab top secret are fairly evident. But on her 17th birthday night, things might just change.

Her home is surrounded by an electric fence that has long been there to keep people out as well as keep her in. But Pia discovers a hole in the fence that is about to be her ticket out of here. It takes a great amount of courage to walk away from your home into the unknown, but that night, that is precisely what Pia does.

That night she is able to leave the compound for the very first time. Never having been outside of this place, she’s in a position to go anywhere and potentially do anything. She has temporary freedom in the jungle, as long as the scientists don’t catch up to her. Then she runs into Eio. He is a boy that lives in a village close by.

Eio joins her in her journey and together the two enter into their own quest. They are racing against the clock, but the two are determined to find out what’s going on. Pia wants to discover her origin and Eio is determined to help his new friend do it. Little does he know that finding out the truth may just come along with consequences that he and Pia are not prepared for.

As Pia searches for answers along with her new friend, will she be able to handle what she ultimately discovers? The consequences of what they find out could not just be shocking– they could be fatal. Regardless, Pia is invested in finding out what happened and if it changes her life forever, then so be it. What will she find out and what will happen next? Pick up this engaging novel to find out and experience an interesting ride with themes of immortality and more.

Vitro is the engaging second novel and sequel in the Corpus series! If you love science fiction or are a fan of Orphan Black, this may be a perfect fit for you.

This adventure is set in the tropics and continues many of the same themes that were introduced in the first novel. What happens when you decide to mess around with actual creation? Well, sometimes you get what you hope for and sometimes it all blows up in your face.

Corpus scientists have been working overtime in the Pacific. On an island that can only be described as secretive and remote, these scientists have done what they have set out to accomplish. They took embryos in test tubes and were able to bestow them with life.

They call these life forms the Vitros, and they have something about them that makes them different from humans. Their abilities are different, extending beyond those of humans, and they also have a great deal of knowledge that most humans could only dream of accessing. However, these life forms also come with flaws.

Meet the main character of Sophia Crue. She wants to do what she can to set out in the world and track down her mother. To do this, and find her missing scientist mom, she is going to have to make her way to Skin Island.

To do so, she’s going to need some help. So she decides to get Jim Julien, a charter pilot, to try and help get her there. He’s handsome and seems up for it, but once they get there, they find that they’re dealing with far more than they expected. As they meet Vitros Nicholas and Lux, the two might just find out the hazards of science going too far.

Can Sophia find her mom? Will Jim and Sophia make it out alive? Find out by picking up a copy of Vitro for yourself!
