Secrets of a Side Bitch tells the story of Omari, a hardworking man who seems to be making a lot of bad decisions. Omari holds a UPS job, but whatever he earns is not enough to support him and his long-term girlfriend, Aeysha. After being pressured by his cousin Ching to join his drug ring, Omari finally takes up this risky job offer. Omari juggles his regular job and the drug game until he is caught up in a murder. It turns out the dead man is the Governor’s nephew, and the police will not rest until all who are involved in the killing are behind bars. Now Omari has to dodge the police and keep a low profile hoping the pressure will ease up.
Away from work, Omari is caught up in two relationships. There is his girlfriend of seven years, Aeysha and the new and more exciting Simone. Omari is not ready to end what he has with Aeysha. However, Simone seems to be more established, and Omari is happy that she is always there when he needs her. What he doesn’t know is that Simone is a sociopath on a mission to get what she has craved for her entire life.
Simone has played the side chick throughout her dating life. When she meets Omari, she believes it her time for her to enjoy being the only woman in her man’s life. She is disappointed to discover that Omari has someone else in his life, but she is determined to eliminate her. In desperation, Simone hatches a plan to win her man and be the only woman for him. Simone’s friend Tammy thinks that she is insane. When Tammy is going to extra lengths to keep away from a man who is obsessed with her, Simone is crafting crazy plans to keep a man in her life.
Everything starts going wrong when the police begin to make arrests. Secrets are revealed, unforeseen tragedies arise, and people find love in the craziest of places. This story comes with twisted yet relatable characters. First, Omari, just like many men, doesn’t think about the consequences for his actions. Simone has low self-esteem and is sad that is willing to go so low to keep a man. Tammy is sweet and likeable, if only she had better taste in men.
Secrets of a Side Bitch is an intense story of love, betrayal, and tragedy. This story will make you happy, sad, and angry. The tension rises as the story progresses, which will keep you turning the pages until you get to the end. The ending is unexpected and will leave you looking forward to more. If you love urban romance stories featuring drug rings, crazy girls, and constant action, this book is a perfect choice.

When My Soul Met A Thug features True, a single mom who has had her fair share of challenges. True is only twenty-five, and while she imagined that her twenties would be spent having fun, she is a divorcee with a family to raise singlehandedly. After spending years alongside a husband who didn’t love her, all True wants is to enjoy every moment. The last thing she wants is a man to complicate her life again. Well, fate brings a man her way, and he is nothing like she is used to. The man is an arrogant womanizer named Coop.
True tells Coop her story, and while he has deep feelings for her, he doesn’t want to hurt her. Coop is not new to the hard life. First, he is an orphan who went through many foster homes before he reached maturity. Once he is out of foster care, Coop has to fend for himself, and at times that involves engaging in jobs, he is not proud of. Coop is loyal to only one person. Love for him is a game, and there is a lot he can do for money. This changes when Coop meets True. Now True is filling gaps he didn’t know existed, and being around her leaves him feeling all warm inside. True will break Coop’s heart after thawing his icy heart, but she is quick to try a save the situation. While she cannot fix what is already broken, True finds a way out, and this story ends on a somewhat happy note.
Remi has been in a relationship with Banks for a decade now. While she has been loyal throughout the years, Banks has taken every opportunity to lie and cheat on her. The hopes of a happily ever after continue to dwindle after it becomes clear that Banks will never change, at least not for her. Banks give Remi a ring she always wanted, but with it comes a devastating blow. Remi is not sure she will ever recover until she meets Coop and True. Her new-found friends mend Remi’s heart back together and change her life for the better.
When My Soul Met, A Thug is a heart-warming story of two women with broken hearts who get the healing they need in the end. In their darkest hours, a ray of light comes from the most unexpected quarters. True’s strength is admirable, and it is amazing what good she does in Coop’s life despite her brokenness. This story will tug at your heartstrings, hold your attention from the first page, and it will not ease up until you get to the end. Find out what happens to True, Remi, and Coop now that life seems to be giving them all a break.
