Jessica Prince
Jessica Prince was born and grew up near Houston, Texas, and is a self proclaimed caffeine addict, the worst driver in the state of Texas, and connoisseur of inexpensive wine. Along with being each of these things, she is first and foremost a mom and wife.
Growing up, she shared her grandma and mom’s love of reading. However where they both leaned more toward murder mysteries, Jessica was obsessed with all things romance.
When she is not nose deep in her next manuscript, or binging on sit-coms, she can typically be found with her Kindle in hand.
“Picking Up the Pieces” is the first novel in the “Cloverleaf” series and was released in 2013. Everything seemed to go downhill for Emerson Grace, after having her heart broken by the one and only man that she has ever loved. It has taken years, however Emmy is starting to pick up the pieces of her broken life finally. Up until the man that destroyed her heart returns, and brings the pain of the past along with him.
Running away from Emmy was the single way that Lucas Allen knew that he could protect her from all the demons that he was carrying with him. After spending that perfect night together, he took off, certain that he could never give her everything that she deserved. Now, eight years later, he has returned to Cloverleaf in order to try and make for his mistakes. He just has to hope it is not too late.
Loving Luke has been the easy part, and always has. It’s forgiving the guy that appears to be impossible. Now it is up to Emmy to figure out if she should give him another chance, or just let him go for good.
“Destructive” is the first novel in the “Deadly Love” series and was released in 2014. Men cause nothing but pain. Marley lives her life by these five simple words. They’ve always proven to be true, for her. Men have just brought her suffering and hurt her whole life, leaving devastation behind them. She hates them and fears them.
Until Gabriel. He forces his way into Marley’s life, ripping her walls down that she’s built around herself. He wants her, and he’ll stop at nothing to have her. Should she be horrified of what he’s making her feel. So why does she crave him anyway? She sees all of his warning signs and red flags, however she just cannot help herself. She’s his obsession. Marley believed he was her salvation. However now she knows that his love could destroy her.
“Scattered Colors” is the first novel in the “Colors” series and was released in 2015. Happiness, love, and family. Life’s always been easy for Freya Linden. Right up until the most unthinkable thing of all happens and she is forced to grow up finally and face reality. The formerly bright colors of her life fade into black and white, which leaves her with this colorless shell filled with loneliness.
Then she meets him. Parker Owens is broken, hiding all of his sorrow behind his mask, pretending he’s still the popular boy with all of the answers. However Freya sees through the man’s facade. Suffering lingers in his soulful eyes, which creates a connection between these two kindred spirits.
Together, these two start healing. He breathes life right back into world, while she gives him peace. However happiness is never a guarantee. Sometimes you must fight for the things that you want. Sometimes, if the person that you love cannot share their secrets, you must walk away.
“Fire & Ice” is the first novel in the “Locklaine Boys” series and was released in 2016. Pepper O’Malley is not one to be toyed with. Fool her once, and shame on you. Fool her twice, and they’ll have trouble finding your body. She once dreamt of white picket fences and happily ever afters, however she now lives in the world. “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”. Especially when that woman is a redheaded spitfire.
Griffin Locklaine always viewed commitment like a four letter word. He was crystal clear about what he wanted right from the start and didn’t make any apologies for it. He never cared if he came off as cold as ice. He lived for his job, his friends, and his family. He didn’t have any desires for a relationship. That was, right up until he saw the formerly young and scrawny Pepper all grown up.
They are like water and oil, ice and fire. This volatile combination which should never work together. But unfortunately for them, fate’s got other ideas. This spark they have left ignored has a way of burning out of control, leaving everybody to wonder who will be left standing once it finally explodes. The only thing that is for sure, when they finally do come together, it will be quite epic.
“Sweet Sunshine” is the first novel in the “Pembrooke” series and was released in 2016. Chloe Delaney is a romantic at heart. She had three very specific wishes while she was growing up. She wished to stay settled in the tiny mountain town of Pembrooke, where she grew up, to one day be her own boss, and to fall in love with a guy that would be willing to go to the ends of the earth for her. With her roots firmly planted in Pembrooke’s soil and Sinful Sweets (her bakery) thriving, two of her wishes have come true already. When this handsome single dad moves to the town, she is certain that she has found the guy to fill the role of her third wish. Only problem is, you cannot force a frog to turn into a prince.
He’s not the Prince Charming type. Derrick Anderson moved from Jackson Hole to Pembrooke, he did it with the goal of wiping the slate clean. After spending eight years stuck in a miserable marriage, he’s made this vow to never take that plunge again. He wants to be untangled and untethered to the strings which come with a committed relationship. He’s got his career, his daughter, and a former wife hellbent on making his life unbearable. His plate’s full already. Only problem with that is, he never planned on protecting his heart from her.
Neither one of them were ready for the course that their lives would take. However once a rollercoaster starts moving, you can’t just get off, can you? Only thing they can do is strap in, hang on tight, and just enjoy the ride.
