The American author Jessie Donovan is one of the most prolific and successful novelists currently working with the field at this present time, with a whole host of titles and series under her belt, as she largely focuses on the field of the urban fantasy genre, with elements of romance as well as the paranormal too, all combined to thrilling effect, creating some of the most engaging and compelling stories of their kind. Fascinated with the form ever since she was a child, she has a wide and expansive imagination, one which draws the reader, immersing them within her narrative, with her characters that resonate.

With a vast array of story ideas floating around her head, she has had a number of different ideas over the years, as she provides a creative, fresh and unique take on the genre, giving a level of personality, unlike that of which hasn’t really been seen before. Taking the reader on a journey, she has also created highly engrossing sagas that are unrivaled in their sense of scope, which is also coupled with down-to-earth realism at the same time. Early and Personal Life

It was at the young age of five that Jessie Donovan wrote her first short-story, as she then moved on to reading as much as possibly could. Focusing herself on a lifelong love of literature, she managed to create a style that was to become hugely popular over the many following the years. Getting degrees in anthropology and Japanese, she would go on to see a lot of the world before settling down to attempt to write her first full length book.

Still writing to this very day she has a lot more to come yet, as she continues to write full-time, fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming the author that she always wanted to be. This has allowed her to pursue the ideas that she wants too, bringing her ever imaginative concepts to an even wider audience of readers worldwide. This is something that’s expected to continue on into the foreseeable future for many years to follow, as her writing career grows from strength-to-strength.

Writing Career

Bringing out her first novel in 2013, she arrived on the literary scene with the novel ‘Blaze of Secrets’, which was to be the first in the ongoing ‘Asylums for Magical Threats’ novels. Over time she has produced a number of different series, including ‘Asylums for Magical Threats’, ‘Stonefire Dragons’, ‘Cascade Shifters’, ‘Lochguard Highland Dragons’ and the ‘Kelderan Runic Warriors’ series. With a background studying Japanese for over five years, she has managed to bring her books onto a universal platform, with her open approach to the format.

Reaching the top of the bestseller lists on a variety of different occasions, she has also achieved success through the USA Today list, along with the New York Times Bestseller lists. This has allowed her to expand her reach, as she also likes to travel, often on a budget, as she likes to take in as much experience as she possibly can. All of this allows her to build upon her work, creating a far richer and more varied backlog of material, something that will carry on for quite some time yet.

Shadow of Temptation

Published on the Kindle on the 26th of May in 2014, this to be number 2.5 in the ongoing ‘Asylums for Magical Threats’ series of novels. Continuing on in much the same vein as the previous title it manages to capture a lot of what came before, both in terms of style as well as tone. With a lot of the same characters as before too, it picks-up directly from where the last title left off, providing another installment in the process.

Aiding the Dragon

Brought out through the ‘Mythical Lake Press, LLC’ publishing label this time, this was first released on the 25th of May in 2017. Marking ninth title in the ongoing ‘Stonefire Dragons’ series, it sees Teagan O’Shea working as a rare female dragon-shifter leader, as she comes up against Aaron Caruso, a man who is sent to Ireland to repair the rift between to clans on the isle there. Will their passions overcome this though? Can they help mend the rift? Who will find themselves aiding the dragon?
