Holly Martin is a British published author.

She resides in the U.K. where she has something of a dream house, residing in a small white cottage that overlooks the sea. When she was at university, Holly studied media. She jokes that this led to a ‘very glitzy career’ working as a hotel receptionist. She then spent another two ‘glamorous’ years working at a bank. However, it was witnessing one of her colleagues getting the carriage clock for having worked there for fifteen years that she knew that she had to get out of there.

Holly quit her job and went back to university so that she could get more training and become a teacher. Just three years later, she came out of it with the credentials needed to instruct young minds (and terrified at the reality that she now was responsible for the development of these minds). She taught for four years but left to teach history workshops. This involved dressing up in different costumes, so one day she was an Egyptian High Priestess and another she’d be showing up in a Viking outfit. It was a good job but the time spent going about the United Kingdom and sitting for hours at a time on the M25 did have a silver lining in that it gave Holly the time to plan out stories.

Holly now writes on a full-time basis and says that she is doing what she loves. She has been writing for several years and has written over two dozen books and sold over a million books all over the world. They have been translated into several languages, including Russian, Turkish, Estonian, Bulgarian, Dutch, French, Italian, and German.

Holly has been shortlisted at the Festival of Romance for the New Talent award and her first experience with being a full-fledged published author was winning a Sunlounger short story competition, where it was published in their anthology with some of her favorite romance writers. Her novel The Guestbook at Willow College helped her win the Carina Valentine’s competition at the Festival of Romance, where she was also shortlisted for the best eBook, the best romantic read, and innovation in romantic fiction.

Sunrise Over Sapphire Bay is the first book in the Jewel Island series by Holly Martin. If you’ve been looking for something light and heartwarming to read, check out the debut in this series and see what you think!

You can’t but help falling in love when it comes to the gorgeous Jewel Island. It’s most beautiful during the summertime, which is when that sapphire sea sparkles when you look at it, the sun comes in and bathes you in golden light while warming your skin, and meeting the locals on the island is going to help to melt your heart and see the good in people again.

Main character Aria Philips is an individual who has live on Jewel Island for her entire life. She has two sisters, Clover and Skye. Both of them ended up leaving the shores of Jewel Island to go pursue things that were bigger and better. All the while, Aria decided to stay back so that she could help her father out and assist him when it comes to running the family hotel.

But things change quickly, and Aria had to deal with the hurtful loss of her father. It has been a year since he died, and she has been doing whatever she can to try and keep everything going. However, the hotel has been having a hard time making a profit for a long time now. Aria has so few guests in the hotel that if things don’t pick up soon, she is at a very real risk of losing the business as well as the only home that she has ever known.

Then there’s Noah Campbell. He made a fortune just by helping to make hotels a success, and this summer he coincidentally happens to be staying on Jewel Island. This could possibly be the answer to all of the problems that Aria was happening, except for one thing. Noah was here the year before, where he decided to make the move of kissing her under a willow tree. The kiss was spectacular, but he just didn’t call her after that. Unfortunately, it was the best kiss that Aria had ever experienced, so the lack of calling was not ideal. This was a case where mixing pleasure and business simply did not mix.

Aria finds out that Noah is back but can’t do the same thing again. Especially since she is going to ask him to help her out. If they’re going to work together, she’s going to have to keep things professional. But she also doesn’t know that Noah’s been hiding a secret for the past year, and coming back to Aria’s home island could change her life forever. Will he help her save the hotel? What is his secret? Is it too late for the two of the, to get together? Find out by reading this romance!5

Autumn Skies Over Ruby Falls is the second book in the Jewel Island series by Holly Martin. If you loved the first book in this series, check this one out too and get taken away to the Cornish coast. It’s the perfect book to enjoy in autumn or to transport you there during other seasons!

Clover Philips is happy being precisely where she feels she belongs. She’s back at the Sapphire Bay Hotel on Jewel Island, teaching dance lessons to the guests. It’s nice to be at the hotel she co-owns with Aria and Skye. She loves working with her sisters and her life would be complete minus one thing.

Cover left a betrayal behind her in London and hasn’t been able to date or fall for anyone since then. She could use a no pressure dating situation to get back into romance, and the handsome Angel Mazzeo might just be able to help. They’ve had great chemistry ever since he came to the island six months ago.

They’ve stayed friends throughout that time, but now Angel is happy to help Clover get used to dating again. Love’s off limits, but their casual dating soon starts becoming something magical. Can they break through the walls and tell each other how they feel? Is Clover falling in love again? Read this book to find out!
