She is particularly famous for writing her most successful novel series called the Boscastle series. Author Hunter started her writing career in 1985 with the release of her debut book titled ‘Heart of the Storm’. Over the course of her writing career, author Hunter has received many prestigious awards, including the Career Achievement Prize from Romantic Times. Currently, she resides in Southern California along with her loving husband and 3 daughters. Hunter is fond of pet animals. Author Hunter says that she likes people who can bring laughter on her face. This is the reason why she loves Tyler Perry and Mike Myers. Hunter’s birth took place in Scotland, where she lived with her family in a Georgian house having three storeys. She spent her earliest years living in this house, which was bought by her grandmother at the time of Second World War. Hunter says that her grandma was a lovely woman who used to work as a nurse at her native place inn Wales during the time of the Blitz. Her grandmother also supported the ‘Free French’ agenda. The situation was very dangerous at that for Hunter’s family, but her grandmother was brave enough to ensure their safety. On one occasion, she threw back a bomb that was thrown at the house, while her whole family was asleep.

For some time, Hunter’s family had to live on her house’s winding staircases. Sometimes, they also had to live in the quarters of the servants, where author Hunter used to help the housemaids. Her mother used to work for switchboard operation in Wales amidst the war. Because of the vulnerable situation, she could complete her schooling. Hunter’s father was stationed as an Executive and Intelligence Officer at the Office of Coast Guard in Europe. Hunter’s family shifted to London when she reached the school-going age. She found out later that her father was also a writer. When Hunter used to play in the garden or get indulged in reading books, he used to keep himself busy with the writing work of maritime law. Her father produced his writing at Hague and in Geneva. He is said to have set the precedents which are followed till today, in accordance with maritime law. Since then, Hunter has been living in America along with her family. When she grew older, she decided to move back to London so as to take up Shakespearean acting. However, she had to drop the idea as she met the man of her dreams, who proposed her for marriage. He used to work as a bass player at that time. Author Hunter has nicknamed her husband as Beast. She completed her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. Now, she enjoys writing full time and spending her spare time with her three lovely daughters and husband. Hunter likes to give the credit of her successful writing career to her husband, who supported throughout the ups and downs of her life. He even motivated her to explore her skills and create mind blowing romance stories and characters.

The Boscastle series written by Jillian Hunter is comprised of 14 books in total, which were released between the years 2005 and 2014. The later books of this series form a part of another romance series that Hunter writes. It is known as Bridal Pleasures series. One of the initial books written and released in the series is entitled ‘The Love Affair of an English Lord’. The Ivy Books publication released it in 2005. Author Hunter has depicted the main characters in this book as Dominic Breckland and Chloe Boscastle. She has set the plot in the United Kingdom. Author Hunter has described the story as a tale of seduction and scandal, which delights and amuses the readers very much. At the beginning of the story, Chloe Boscastle is shown getting caught kissing an unknown man in the park. She is witnessed while doing this act by her brother named Grayson. Being the patriarch of his family and a protector of the Boscastle reputation, he decides to send Chloe to a faraway manor in a distant country. Grayson orders her to stay there until the subsiding of the scandal. Soon after her banishment, Chloe Boscastle learns that one of her neighbors named Dominic Brekland has been murdered while sleeping. But, she becomes shocked to find the handsome victim hiding in her closet. He tells Chloe that he survived the attack somehow and now wishes to let the world think that he is dead. Dominic expects that Chloe will not let his secret out. He even tries to persuade Chloe with his charm. Later, the two come very close and work together to unmask Dominic’s enemy. Chloe fears that if people come to know that she is sheltering a scoundrel, the reputation of her family could get tarnished even more. But, thinking about the deep love that she has fallen into with the charming and handsome Dominic, she does not worry about it. Chloe knows that Dominic will help her handle whatever problems come in the way of their love.

Another interesting romance book written in the series is titled as ‘A Duke’s Temptation’. This book was released in 2010 by the Signet publication and shows the romance between the central characters named Samuel Charles Aubrey and Lily Boscastle. The book opens by showing Samuel as Gravenhurst’s Duke and a rogue champion. People do not know he is the author of well known historical novels. Samuel faces the accusation of corrupting the public’s morals. He particularly tries to seduce one of his passionate fans named Lily Boscastle. However, she too is not unknown to disrepute. Previously, she had ended her engagement which resulted in public disgrace and tarnishing the image of her family. As a result, she is forced to move out of London and seek employment. Lily gets the job as a housekeeper in Samuel’s mansion. He finds her as witty and sensual. Lily appears to be the perfect match to each and every beguiling move that Samuel makes. In spite of all this, there seems to be a lot more in Samuel that is kept hidden from her. As they tend to grow closer, the ghosts from each of their past lives come to haunt them in the worst possible ways.

I really have enjoyed your series of the Boscastle clan. Will there be anymore? A novel about Brandon Boscastle or Michael Rowland? I own everything you have written in Kindle.
    Happy New Year
