The British author Jolie Vines is well known for her interesting and entertaining style of writing that instantly grabs the reader. Mostly writing contemporary romance novels, she really sets herself apart, giving her readers exactly what they want, while saying something unique in the process. From an early age Jolie Vines would always be lost in her own imagination, so it made sense for her to invest herself in her writing. Currently still writing to this very day, she’s got a lot more to come, as she continues to write from her home in South West of England with both her husband and son.

Writing Career

Starting out her writing career back in 2019, Jolie Vines would make a name for herself beginning not one, but two different franchises. Not only that, but she would also publish the stand-alone novel ‘Race You’ that very same year, which was also a romance title. Over the course of her writing career she would come to write a number of different series’, including ‘Wild Scots,’ ‘Marry the Scot,’ and ‘Wild Mountain Scots.’

These would help establish her as a fully fledged author in time, creating a name for her quite unlike any other. Many of these would continue as time went on, each featuring different running themes and ideas running throughout. Often featuring Scottish protagonists, her books would be varied, as she carries on producing novels, writing more and more to this day.

Stubborn Spark

Initially published on the Kindle platform, this would first arrive in 2020 on the 15th of October to much acclaim. Setting up the fifth book in the ongoing ‘Wild Scots’ series of novels, it would feature its own steamy romances and stand-alone story. Following on thematically, the books featuring powerful Scottish men in passionate romances, and this book is no different.

There’s a few strands from the previous books, as it builds upon the overall world, creating plenty of arcs for long-term readers. Featuring the McRae Clan as well, there’s plenty of recurring characters and cameos from a number of familiar faces. That being said, while it does cater to fans, it’s also accessible to newcomers, with its central story being stand-alone and self-contained.

Set during a single snow party, the story revolves around three different characters, as they come to find each other. Looking at the interplay between the three, it sees them all coming together, as the two men, Blayne and Brodie, find themselves with Casey. Sharing their passion together, Casey has come from America to find these Scottish men, making for a passionate romance. Will they all form a relationship as one? Can they find each other at the end of it all? How will they deal with that one stubborn spark?

Oh Baby

Initially brought out on the Kindle again, this would first come out in 2019 on the 26th of September to an already eager audience. This would also be the fifth book in the ‘Marry the Scot’ series of novels, featuring another passionate romance in the long-running collection. Featuring its own self-contained narrative, it’s the last in this particular series, although there are arcs and characters brought over from previous novels. Each of the novels features different members of the McRae family, with this featuring Ally, who is the youngest brother amongst them all. Many of Vines’ previous series are also integrated into each other, making her work feature different cameos for her long-time fans and readers.

Getting by on his looks, Ally is used to avoiding responsibility in life, and he’s never gotten around to dealing with his dyslexia, that is until Scarlet Storm arrives on the scene. It also appears that he’s got a newborn baby, which scuppers his chances with Scarlet, as she decides to pursue her career overseas instead. Dealing with the two people he now cares most about in his life, Ally must make some serious decisions if he’s to turn his life around forever. Will he be able to make the necessary changes? Can he take responsibility? What will become of Scarlet and his baby?
