Sins
Sins tells the story of Helene Junot, a beautiful and smart woman who spends a good portion of her childhood thinking about revenge. The story starts in France when young Helen is forced to leave her home, family, and everything she knows. At just seven years of age, Helene witnesses the murder, violence, and rape all around her. While she survives the tragedies witnessed during WWII, her loved ones are not as lucky. Helen vows to revenge, and as she braced more horrors in her youth, her need to make those who wronged her grow even further.

During the decades that follow, Helene dedicates all her efforts into improving herself. The now hardened woman is ruthless and commits her fair share of sins along the way. All of Helene’s hard work doesn’t go to waste. Over time, she builds an impressive business empire and become one of the most celebrated women in the fashion world. Despite all this success, Helene doesn’t forget the vow she made to revenge against the Nazis.

At times, vengeance comes at a price, so it’s not all fun for Helene. Hers is a lonely life, and while there are many chances to enjoy life with others, her mind is only set on revenge. It doesn’t help that Helene has more than enough enemies keen to destroy her. Fortunately, great love changes her life and somehow manages to dilute all the hate she has been carrying around for years. Will Helene embrace her new life and forget about the past?
This is a book with a solid plot that sprawls across several decades. Over slightly more than 600 pages, the author takes the reader through Helene’s ups and downs. While Helene thinks that revenge is the only way to get some closure, she discovers that love is a portion powerful enough to make her whole. It is admirable that she is able to accomplish so much despite all she had to deal with when growing up. While anger was one of her driving forces, it is sweet that the right person comes to melt all the bitterness from her heart.

Sins is an intriguing story of murder, revenge, and a host of noxious sins. While the story is long enough, it moves quickly, weaving together the sins, lies, and counter-sins around Helene’s life. The author masterfully narrates this story, bringing emotions to life and turning Helene into a character the readers can identify with. Curious to know about the love that manages to change a heart that was determined to make the Nazis pay sevenfold? Pick this book, and you can be sure that you will not be disappointed. It is a perfect read for romance, fiction, and thriller lovers.
The Secret Heiress
The Secret Heiress tells the story of two identical twins, brought up thousands of miles away from each other. Thanks to their different upbringing, Nikki and Ariadne are like day and night. Ariadne lived in absurdity, unaware of her biological parents’ wealth. When the twins are born, their father believes that their birth was a curse. This explains why Ariadne is raised in secret by a childless couple. Two decades later, Nikki and Ariadne’s father is dead, and Nikki is about to become the sole proprietress of her father’s company as stipulated in the will. However, the board members of Papadaki Private Holding Company do not think this is a good idea.

Nikki has zero business scruples. The soon to be a twenty-one-years-old girl is environmentally reckless and careless with the lives of other people. Raised in pure opulence, Nikki has never had to do a thing for herself in life. Because of her character, the company is now targeted by Mother Earth’s Children; an environmental group made up of radical individuals. Papadaki’s board members come up with a plan to replace Nikki and who better to replace her than her twin Ariadne. Having grown up with parents who instilled the value of hard work and discipline, Ariadne is the perfect person to fill Nikki’s position. After an elaborate switch, Ariadne takes charge of the company and takes up Nikki’s identity, and while this works great for the company, it comes with far-reaching consequences. Ariadne becomes a target in an assassination plot.

With all that is happening around her, the company gets Ariadne a bodyguard. Matt Foster is dashing, and everything a young girl would dream of. It doesn’t take long for Matt to steal the heart of the girl he is supposed to guard. A steamy relationship ensues, and while a multinational corporation rests on her shoulders, Ariadne has a lot of fun when she is off duty. What could she do with the man who has vowed to protect her with his life?

Adriane is a lovable character, and even though she wasn’t raised in money, she adjusts in her new role quite well. Nikki is spoilt, and it is hard to imagine she and Adriane came from the same womb. One twin cares so much about people, while the evil one only thinks about the bottom line. Will Ariadne manage to pull this off and save the company? How does a girl raised in a modest home adjust in a home where money has never been a problem?

The Secret Heiress is a captivating story characterized by steamy scenes, intriguing characters, and danger that seems to be lurking everywhere. Read the story of the good and evil twin and follow them as they experience life in ways they never thought possible. The setting is quite glamorous, and the ending is epic. If you like contemporary romance, this is a perfect choice for you.
