Jules Bennett is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. Bennett wrote her first novel in 2005 and has never looked back since, going on to write more than 50 bestselling titles spread over several series. Writing for several publishing house such as Kensington and Harlequin, and self-publishing on Amazon, she has written the “Hollywood”, “Royals”, “Mafia Moguls”, “Scandalous”, and “The Monroes” among several other series and freestanding novels. One of the most prolific of writers, she writes up to seven titles in her year. She loves to stay in contact with her fans through holding new book contests on her blog on her Facebook fan page and on Twitter.
Jules Bennett loves to describe herself as a salon owner, mother to two girls, wife to her high school sweetheart, and contemporary romance author. She is an Ohio resident from where she writes her steamy and hot romances on the weekends and nights, and runs a beauty salon during the day. Given her many pursuits, her home is often in a chaotic state as she would rather pen her newest chapter rather than scrub and clean. Luckily, the family does not mind that she is not given to domestic pursuits except when she forgets to make dinner. Jules met her husband in the 90s when she was in high school. He was a seventeen-year-old senior and she was a fourteen-year-old that he invited to his prom dance. They had a very good time and Jules still has wonderful memories of the night and even kept the dress as a souvenir. The two got married when she was twenty-one, and she has never once regretted the decision. When she is not writing she loves to spend most of her time with her family in her Midwest home. Among some things she loves to do include making cupcakes, reading books from her favorite contemporary romance authors, shopping for purses, hats and shoes, and sleeping in. Jules Bennett asserts that she is a very driven person, which is one of the reasons why she has written so many books over a relatively short career.
A signature element that Bennett includes in most of her novels is the suffering of her lead characters. Her leads often seems to have a chronic lack of communication skills that is complicated by immense chemistry that they fight throughout the story. Both sides of the relationship need to embrace compromise, but in their quest for a perfect life, they often reject love and all the life pleasures that it could bring. However, over the course of the narratives typically the third part of the novel sees the characters mellow as they try to do all in their power to give love a chance. Bennett writes amazing romances that often takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions and leaves them wondering or thinking that maybe love is just not enough. Nonetheless, given that she is a HEA writer, it always works out in the end as the two protagonists end up in a whirlwind romance that will leave the reader swooning.
“The Hollywood series” which is among Jules Bennett’s most popular series is a heartwarming series of narratives about some of the most intriguing of characters. The lead protagonists are often persons with shadowy romantic pasts that have made them lose all credibility when it comes to matters love. This is especially true of her male characters who start out as arrogant womanizers or career driven men that suddenly meet the heroine and realize that they need to change. But change does not come at the click of the fingers, and they will spend much of the novel reverting to character and hurting their loved ones. They try to change their lives around when they can no longer resist the wiles and heart of gold of their female lovers who make them see the error of their ways. The narratives are more on the sweet side, though they do not have the explicit sex to be found in most contemporary romances. Nevertheless, they more than make up in heart what they lack in heat. Unlike many of her contemporaries who hide lack of story in a lot of explicit sex, Bennett manages to write quite great stories full of genuine characters and story-lines. In a way similar to the Nora Roberts novels, the characters will break the reader’s heart with their arrogance but finally make up for it when the novel culminates in the sweetest of romances.
“Caught in the Spotlight” is the first novel of the Hollywood series of novels by Jules Bennett. Mia had left Bronson’s greatest rival to go work for his mother. Bronson is attracted to her but given his age-old rivalry with her ex, he is suspicious of her intentions. But one night the inevitable happens as the two give in to their lusts and soon Mia announces that is expecting a baby. His suspicions having never been banished, Bronson does not believe the baby is his which is worsened by the fact that he thinks she may be hiding something from him. Mia had accidentally stumbled into some information and had been requested to keep it to herself until she was given the go ahead. Over time Bronson comes to fall in love with Mia and even prepares for the coming birth of the baby he now believes is his. Meanwhile, Mia is also in love with him but the big secret is tearing her heart apart. How will it all turn out when the secret comes out and Bronson learns just what his mother and Mia have been keeping from him?
“Whatever The Price” is an enchanting contemporary romance about Anthony Price, Hollywood’s hottest director who finds himself in a sticky situation. He is a man who always gets what he wants until his life is turned upside down. He is charged with taking care of an orphaned niece and given his lifestyle he knows that he needs some female help. But the snag is that his wife Charlotte moved out of the home a few months back. She is the only woman he knows that would give his niece the care that she needs, and hence he needs to get her back. But to win her back he has to show that he has changed, and will not prioritize his job before the family as he had done all the years they had been married. Charlotte is unsure if the new demands of fatherhood will change the man she had known for years to be given to his career. However, she still desires him, and she just cannot turn her back on the innocent child in his care. Could she hope for a happy ending?
