Virginia Brown is a famous American author, who is well known for writing romance, mystery, and contemporary novels. She is particularly popular for writing her widely successful Dixie Divas book series. After attempting to write her first romance book 1984, author Brown went on to write many successful romance stories over the years. She has written around fifty romance books so far in her career altogether. A number of her novels have received nominations for prestigious awards like Reviewer’s Choice by Romantic Times and Career Achievement.

For the latter, she has been nominated in the categories of Adventure and Love & Laughter. The works of author Brown make regular appearances on various bestseller lists throughout the nation. Brown has written her novels under many pen names. While on the journey, she also visits Scotland whenever she gets time. Author Brown feels that traveling for research work adds a new set of dimensions to her written works. Being a well known personality has given author Brown multiple chances to appear on television programs for interviews. On one occasion, she was invited on the nationally syndicated show called What’s Hot What’s Not. In addition to this, author Brown has also been interviewed on the Today show by Jane Pauley.

Author Brown lives a happily married life along with her husband and 4 grown children. As Brown has become a grandmother, she loves to spend time with her grandchildren, Christina, Gaby, and Justin. Also, she has published numerous standalone novels under her various pseudonyms, many of which have also made it to the bestsellers’ list.

A very successful novel series written by author Virginia Brown is known as the Dixie Divas series. This series consists of 5 books in total, which were released between the years 2009 and 2013. The lead characters mentioned in the books of this series include sexy Divas in the form of Eureka Truevine, Bitty Hollandale, and several others. These divas keep getting involved in mysteries and scandals, and then work out ways to get themselves out of all the mysteries safe and sound. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Dixie Divas’. It was released by the Bell Bridge publishers in the year 2009. The primary characters described in this novel by author Brown include Bitty Hollandale and Eureka ‘Trinket’ Truevine. Brown has done the setting of the plot in Holly Springs, Mississippi, United States. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Bitty Hollandale asks Eurkeka Truevine where did she come across her former husband. She suspects that he was involved in an affair with a waitress in Paris or Mexico. But, Eureka informs Bitty that she found her ex-husband dead in the her own closet. Immediately after, the two start investigating the case. This case brings another occasion of chocolate delicacies, transvestite strippers, and some good time get together for the ladies of Dixie Divas in Holly Springs. They look forward to enjoying the magnolias mingling and moonlight parties, in addition to dealing with the small town scandals. As the dead body was discovered from Bitty’s closet, she becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her ex-husband. Now, Eureka Truevine and the other Divas try to think of ways to help Bitty clear her name as they know that she cannot commit a cold-blooded murder. They also look to find out the real culprit and then catch him to prove Bitty’s innocence in the case.

Another mind blowing novel of this series is called ‘Drop Dead Divas’. It was also published by Bell Bridge publishers in 2010. Once again, the lead characters are depicted in the form of Eureka Truevine and Bitty Hollandale. Another important addition to the list of characters is Naomi Spencer. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that the Divas take up another case of sleuthing when they hear about a recent being committed in their town. The Divas learn that their close friend, Naomi Spencer, has been arrested on the charges of killing her fiance, the champion of drag race named Race Champion. And just as they begin investigating this new case, they come to know that Naomi Spencer has also been murdered. All the Divas in the gang become tensed at the news of the twin murder as they fear that a serial killer is roaming freely on the streets of Holly Sprinds. They worry even more thinking about the safety of their own lives as they know that the killer might come for them too if he learns that they are trying to expose his crimes. However, Bitty and Eureka bring things under control by convincing them that nothing will happen to any of them if they stick together till the end. Eventually, the Divas go on to unravel the identity of the killer and help the investigating authorities to hunt him down.
