Hailing from the United States, the American author Julie Anne Lindsey has been enjoying a certain level of success for quite some time now. Writing mystery novels and young adult fiction, she is a novelist who has her finger firmly on the pulse of her audience. Understanding her characters clearly, she is able to craft a narrative from almost any seemingly minute situation, elevating it to a whole new level in the process.
Early and Personal Life
Born in Green in Ohio in the United States, the author to be Julie Anne Lindsey grew up with a strong passion for both reading and writing. Taking in inspiration from her surrounding environment during her formative years, she would be continually looking for new and exciting ideas. This would evolve over the course of her career into something a lot different, as she managed to find her own unique style and voice.
Graduating from higher education, she’d also take her learning on and use it to help build the foundations of her writing career to be. This would also help to give her the tools necessary for creating her style, allowing her to find a niche all of her very own. Over the years she’d hone and refine her voice, establishing herself as a fully fledged author, all whilst drawing from her background.
Knowing that she always wanted to be a writer, she managed to use her experiences as material for both her and her work. Taking in from a whole variety of different sources, she managed to not only work in the years prior to becoming an author, but she also continually kept at her writing. This allowed her to slowly transform herself into the writer that she currently is today, with a worldwide following from all across the globe.
Still writing to this very day, she continues to write, whilst keeping herself active and engaged with her many fans. With a strong online presence, she is highly devoted to her art-form, as more and more people discover her work worldwide. This is something that’s expected to continue on into the foreseeable future, as she shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Writing Career
Starting out as a short-story writer, she added to a collection with various other writers called ‘Summer Shorts’ in 2011. It was then in 2012 she came out with her novel ‘Bloom’, which was the first in the ongoing series ‘Seeds of Love’ novels. This is what helped her make her name, as well as set up a whole new franchise in the process too, one of her many series to date.
Well known for her ‘Geek Girl Mysteries’ series, of which there are five in total so far and counting, she has produced a number of franchises over the years. These include her ‘Patience Price, Counselor at Large’ series, as well as her ‘Calypso’, ‘Seeds of Love’ and ‘Killer Confections’ series as well. All of these have provided her readers with a heavy output of work that’s steadily grown throughout the years.
Getting a huge amount of critical acclaim, she has come to be revered by both her peers and contemporaries alike. It’s not just the critics that have come to appreciate her, though, but also the general public as well, with many of her books becoming a commercial success too. Garnering praise and awards for her various efforts, she has come to be regarded as a definite rising talent within the industry.
Over time her audience has grown and grown, becoming a strong and loyal one, with many of her fans eagerly awaiting each new installment of her series. This has allowed her to carve a specific niche all of her very own, creating an audience looking for something new within the romance genre. Gaining worldwide attention both nationally as well as internationally, she has been able to market herself to the right people, as her novels manage to relate themes and ideas that are universal.
With a lot more titles to come yet, she has maintained a regular output that is consistent, as she keeps her many series going. Living in Ohio with her three children, she also writes under the name of Julie Chase, a pseudonym which she puts out romance novels under as well. There’s plenty more novels set to be released on the horizon, as her writing career carries on growing from strength-to-strength.
Murder in Real Time
Marking the third title in the ongoing series ‘Patience Price, Counselor at Large’, this was initially brought out through the Carina Press publishing label. Released on the 29th of September in 2014, this continued the now highly popular franchise, carrying on in much the same vein as before. For fans and followers of the series this is a definite must, as it offers everything that people have come to love about it, whilst also offering some surprises along the way.
The story starts out with the eponymous Patience Price preparing for some peace and quiet after the summer tourist season in Chincoteague. Her tranquil is then disturbed by the makers of a TV show about ghost hunters when they arrive on her little island, bringing a whole host of chaos with them. That’s when one of the cast are killed in a B&B there, as Patience takes it upon herself to solve the case, despite her FBI boyfriend telling her not to. Can she find the killer? Is danger hiding just around the corner? Will she find murder in real time?
In Place of Never
Originally published on the 2nd of February in 2016, this was to be a stand-alone from Julie Anne Lindsey as an author. Not part of a series, it was released through the Lyrical Press Inc. publishing label, providing a strong effort from her as a writer. Written in a very clear and confident manner, it shows a novelist who is very much at the top of her game, and is essential for anyone hoping to find out more about her work.
In the wake of her sister Faith’s death one summer, Mercy is left beside herself not knowing what to do, especially when it may have been murder. The main suspects are a group of travelling gypsies for the local townspeople, but Mercy starts to get close to one of them who goes by the name of Cross. Someone really doesn’t want her getting close to the real truth, though, and it may threaten to upturn everything she knows or cares about. Will she find the real killer? Can her and Cross ever be an item? What will happen in place of never/

Is there another Cider Shop mystery after Cider Shop Rules? Hope so…
Not at the moment
I just finished Book #2 in the “Fortress Defense” series. I was such a great read I just ordered three other books in this series. I believe that there are currently only 4 in the series. Is there another one in the future? I certainly hope so as the one I just finished (“Missing In The Mountains”) was excellent.
Only the 4 so far yes. Nothing announced yet for a 5th but it is very popular so hopefully 🙂
