K.C. Hart is an award-winning and bestselling author of inspirational southern cozy with a Christian bent.

She has said that her love of storytelling was nurtured by her large family. Hart still remembers how she used to sit on the porch singing while her father played the guitar.

Hart did a lot of laughing and listening at the tall tales that her brothers, mother, and neighbors used to tell. As the sixth of seven siblings, she admits that her brothers used to spoil her rotten.
Over the years, she discovered that she had a huge love of humor and intense imagination. But it was not until she was in her 50s that she got the courage to make use of her talents and become a fiction author.
Using the experiences and settings of the many towns she had lived in over the years he published Moonlight, Murder, and Small Town Secrets in 2022. Hart now has more than a dozen works to her name among them contributions to series by other authors and at least two series.

She currently lives with her husband of thirty-seven years in Mississippi.

As for her inspiration, K.C. Hart has said that she has always loved mysteries and puzzles. She used to love shows such as “Scooby Doo,” “Murder She Wrote,” ”Columbo,” and “Perry Mason.”

She is also quite the reader and as a lover of mysteries, she was inevitably attracted to the Agatha Christy novels with one of her favorite characters being Miss Marple. She also read other novelists such as Alexandre Dumas, Charles Dickens, and Jane Austen.
She has said that she always loved how expertly Christie weaved clues into her books such that one never noticed them.

Hart remembers how she used to get to the book’s ending and say “why was this not mentioned earlier,” only to go back and find the clues sprinkled all over the story.

Later on, she began studying how to do this when she ultimately began working on becoming a fiction author. She learned how to pen great characters with personality from Charles Dickens and Jane Austin.
Her all-time favorite work of fiction has to be “The Count of Monte Cristo,” which she still reads to this day.

When K.C. Hart is not writing her novels, she does engage in a lot of hobbies even though spending time with family and particularly her grandchildren are always top of that list. She also loves to play the banjo, guitar, and piano.
She has also recently discovered trinket crafts and has bought all manner of beads for the endeavor. Hart usually makes beaded bookmarks that she loves to give away to book lovers at parties.
K.C. also loves to interact with her readers through her monthly newsletter where she gives updates on her novels and tidbits about herself her husband and her grandchildren.

She will sometimes send out extra letters whenever she is launching a new book or conducting a giveaway. Otherwise, all readers and subscribers can expect from her a little hello about once a month.

K.C. Hart’s novel “Moonlight, Murder, and Small Town Secrets” introduces Katy Cross who is the favorite home health nurse in Skeetervile.

Cross also moonlights as a guitarist for “The Moonlighters” on the weekends. The band has just landed their biggest gig and they are supposed to play at the “Peanut Patch Festival” which is held every year.

However, things turn hairy when Katy discovers a body while doing a mic check. When the investigation starts going wrong, Katy becomes even more determined to find the culprit before anyone else is murdered.

Cross had been perfectly content to mind her own business and live her life which has always been hard in Skeetervile where the staple is sweet tea and gossip. However, when she stumbles upon the body of a newcomer named Jessica Williams she has to get out of her comfort zone and begin some low-key investigations.

The murdered victim has been known to be a troublemaking flirt but hardly anyone would have a motive for killing him. Given that it has been more than three decades since a murder was reported in town the local sheriff is more versed in catching jaywalkers rather than homicidal maniacs.
However, Katy’s keen wit, a sharp eye, and knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time may be her saving grace.

K.C. Hart’s “Music, Murder, and Small Town Romance” continues to follow Katy Cross, the middle-aged home health nurse that was introduced in the debut.

At the opening of the novel, she just found out that “The Moonlighters,” the band had been voted to participate in the prestigious Battle of the Bands. Only four bands voted in by rabid fans will be participating in the sixth edition of the competition.

The residents of the small town of Skeeterville were excited about the upcoming festival until a man is found killed by being strangled by a guitar string.

Seeking to help out a friend, Katy finds herself a suspect in the murder. She now has to investigate the case and write down every clue she can find.

Thankfully, the deputy sheriff’s nephew and her husband have her back and are determined to help her resolve the mysterious murder. KC Hart does a good job of keeping his readers loving the characters and guessing what will happen next.

K.C. Hart’s “Memories, Murder, and Small Town Money” is another interesting installment in the Katy Cross Cozy Mystery series.

However, it soon comes out that he had been conning local widows of all their money and is an all-around bad guy.

Will Katy be able to help the sheriff given that the list of suspects is forever getting longer?
