Author K. F. Breene has sold over four hundred thousand books all over the world, and has made the USA Today Bestseller list and is a Top 10 Kindle All-Star. She writes paranormal romance, contemporary romance, and fantasy novels. Breene also writes under the name of Willow Summers.

Breene lives in wine country. Over every rolling hill or behind every single cow, an evil sorcerer could be plotting his coming evil deed while he holds a brick of cheese and a bottle of wine. Her husband believes that she is mad to be walking around, talking to herself about swords and magic. Her two kids, however, are on board with her fantastical imagination, except for the when the monsters’ descriptions become too real.

She plans on waiting until they are both older until she tells them that monsters are real, as is the magic to battle them. She would like it if they slept through the night.

“Chosen” is the first novel in the “Warrior Chronicles” series, which was released in the year 2014. Shanti grew up under the threat of constant war. After she helped her people defeated a raiding party by using a special power she has, she has been hunted. With an uncanny fighting ability and rare abilities, she is the only hope for salvation for her people. Trouble is, she does not believe in her own divinity, and when she struggles, she nearly crumbles in the duty that hangs so strongly on her shoulders.

It seems like just any other day when Sanders and his group of misfit boys find this foreign woman just hanging on to life in the wastelands. Unaware of the weapon they have in their possession, they are simply content with harboring this mysterious woman until she will be well enough to continue her own journey.

The war begins to spread its limbs and lands on her borrowed doorstep, Shanti has zero choice and has to reveal her secrets, which pushes her saviors right into danger. If they join her, they are going to face certain death. To trade her to Xandre, who is the warlord desperate to add her in with the rest of his war machine, it would be to give up their whole way of life. There is a war coming. The only choice remains: which side will you choose?

Readers enjoyed this book, and found that the main idea was excellent, as was the overall story. Shanti is awesome and kicks a lot of ass in the book. Cayan is a character readers enjoyed as well, as he is gorgeous and made for a fantastic leader.

“Hunted” is the second novel in the “Warrior Chronicles” series, which was released in the year 2015. A new Chosen is coming forward, and Shanti loses sight of her duty. Her plans are unraveling, and does the only thing she is able to think of: free her brother as well as a mysterious stranger from a Graygual camp before going back to beg for Cayan to help her.

Unfortunately for her, that stranger was guarded by one of the elite and precious to the enemy. Hunter, who is a Superior Officer, is somebody that always catches their prey, and his focus is now on the violet-eyed and elusive lady and the guy she ripped out of his hands.

Danger mounts, and one of the very best hunting her constantly, Shanti is going to learn that running is never going to be enough. She is going to unite them with the suffering she has endured and lead them with her love.

Things are much darker in this book than the first book of the series, making this a stellar read. Fans found themselves unable to put the book down for very long, and glad that there are more books to come.

“Shadow Lands” is the third novel in the “Warrior Chronicles” series, which was released in the year 2015. Shanti has to make it through an ancient system to test her fighting skills, her ability to stay alive, and her battle awareness. This is in an effort to finally claim the title of Chosen and lead the Shadow People out of the Land of Mist. Shanti is going to enter The Trials, and will have to do it by herself.

Cayan, who is separated from Shanti on some dangerous island, has to use his own mental skill while he keeps his men safe from the people that have set out to kill them. While more Inkna and Graygual hit the island, Cayan learns of a sinister force that is deep in the woods. They are rigging The Trials and murder any that get too close. This is now a race against the clock. The fight to become the Chosen has started, and the winner is far from decided.

Shanti is a wonderful character who constantly pushes boundaries and makes people sit up and take notice of her at all times. It is great to see her and Cayan as they are both on the same page after putting their differences behind them and have everything sorted out.

“Invasion” is the fourth novel in the “Warrior Chronicles” series, which was released in the year 2015. The Hunter was never trained to admit he was beaten.

The title of Chosen has been secured, and Shanti and Cayan, have to look at what the next steps in ripping their freedom away from the most deadly tyrant in all of the land. They are not the only ones that have their own agenda, though.

They do not have any mental power to defend themselves, the Westwood Lands are held within their own walls. A new power rises, under the threat of torture before eventual death. To be discovered is going to mean death. Doing nothing, however, is not an option they have.

With each one that comes out, the books just keep on getting better and better, and for some, this is their favorite of the entire series.

   Most favorite paranormal author!!! Have stopped reading any other books until I have read ALL of yours! I read them, my daughter and grandaughter all are addicted to your books! My favorite characters are in the magical midnight series sexy and hilarious!!!!
