KM Neuhold is a thirty year old mother, wife and dog mom that is best known as a gay romance and contemporary romance author. She went to UW Madison from where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Animal Science. She had always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and she would go on to become a veterinary assistant for seven years. But she soon got fed up with her day job and decided to try her hand at writing which is something she had always wanted to do ever since she was a child. In her childhood, she preferred to be left alone with her thoughts and it is from this period that she developed a knack for telling stories. At some point, she realized that it was more fun to write down her day dreams than to simply have them run through her mind. Neuhold first considered herself a writer when she started spending a lot of time in the study hall to write stories while she was in middle school. She wrote her first serious manuscript as a high school student when she ripped off a “Lord of the Rings” storyline. While it will never be published, it paved the way for her future career as an author.

Neuhold loves to refer to herself as a romance junkie when it comes to writing and reading. While she has been writing for most of her life, it was not until 2015 that she got into romance and realized there is nothing else she wanted to write. KM is also obsessed with nerd culture and has asserted that she often falls in love with the hot and sensuous male lead characters that she writes about in her novels. She is also known for writing female characters that will never crumble whenever they face conflict or challenges. She does acknowledge that her novels are about the strong women that love men but do not demure to them, which is what many modern women can relate to. She has said that her husband often tells her that the only person that can deal with a strong woman is a real man. When she is not reading romance novels or writing them, she can be found spending time with her dog and her husband. She also works at a veterinary clinic and gets to indulge in her love for animals which she has had for the longest time.

When KM Neuhold was a child, there was nothing that she liked better than to write picture books. As she got older, she started experimenting with all manner of genres.
From Middle school through high school, she wrote mostly sci-fi and fantasy but really found my niche and my passion when I started writing romance. She decided to write LGBTQ and contemporary romance when she started reading the novels in the genre. She found that while she was writing and reading MF romance, there was a lack of imperfect characters and she thought she could niche down onto that. This has become a passion as she explores the characters with issues such as OCD/anxiety disorders, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. As a polyamorous and pansexual woman in what passes as a monogamous hetero sexual marriage, she finds writing MM novels a lot of fun. They make it possible to explore the feelings she has always had for a long time and could not understand.
KM Neuhold’s “Caulky” introduces Ren, a man who is currently in the middle of a painful breakup. The man he thought would become his life partner had left him and since he had never had a successful relationship, he is almost giving up hope of finding a soulmate. He decides to live a solitary life while hooking up with random guys on occasion. But then he meets a construction company owner named Cole with whom he hooks up. It is when he hires some company to redo his bathroom that he realizes the handsome man he had a one night stand with was the owner. The 42 year old Cole has never had a serious relationship as he has been notoriously single given his preference for casual sexual action. The two are soon hooking up regularly but they are not taking things very seriously even though they cannot keep their hands off each other. But what both men do not know is that they had accidentally connected with each other on a gay dating app with no profile pictures. They had gone on to become great friends which sets the stage for some interesting times.

“Nailed” by KM Neuhold is the story of Dare and Stone who are two forty something year old neighbors that are coming to know each other. Stone has been getting a hostile vibe from the hot neighbor next door ever since he moved to his fixer upper home. Rather than trying to find out what the man has against him, he decides to make his life Hell. He rents a petting zoo and the animals he brings onto the property chew on Dare’s plants and mows his lawn with a high pitched lawn mower roar very early on the weekends. He is dismayed to discover that Rudy, his dog, seems to like Stone, the new neighbor. The dog is always running to his house to cuddle and get served with treats as if he was home. Things get steamy when they exchange some nasty words and in the heat of the moment have some raunchy bareback sex that none of them can expalin. But now they cannot stop.

KM Neuhold’s “Hardwood” is the story of Everett, the owner of the Four Bear Construction company. He lives the single life as he takes care of Livi his daughter even though he is best friends with Ollie, Stone and Cole his best friends that are also gay. What his friedns do not know is that Everett is a gay guy who had been ashamed of admitting this truth and this had led to his divorce a few years earlier. He has been in the closet for years even though everyone believed he was just a straight guy with a bad draw when it comes to love. But then he meets Watson, the charming music teacher to his daughter that sweeps him off his feet. He is starting to question many decisions he has made in his life and now wants to belong and share his love rather than feel ashamed for who he is. Things change when Watson develops feelings for him but learns that he is not yet ready to come out of the closet.
