“Apartment 2B” is the first stand alone novel and was released in the year 2014. Sidney has got a rough life. Her mother’s incredibly abusive both physically and mentally. One day, she is awarded the very escape that she has always wanted and is thrust into a world that she hardly understands. Each and every day is a struggle just to feel human and not horrified of everything that’s around her. Sidney’s got routines, rules, and structure. Because that is the only way that she can cope.
When this handsome, but mysterious stranger inserts himself into her life, she starts coming apart at the seams. She has trouble sticking to any of her habits and it is threatening to shred any hope of a normal life to pieces. Is this stranger going to help her in ways that no other person can, or are things going to get worse for her?
He comes with secrets he’s unwilling to share and his own set of issues. Are they going to work together through the mess from their pasts or are they going to just get caught up enabling one another? Is their toxic relationship ultimately going to be destined for demise?
“Becoming Lady Thomas” is the first novel in the “Becoming Her” series and it was released in 2015. Elisabeth Merriweather has just one destiny: his name’s William.
The moment that William comes back from university, he has promised that he’d marry Elisabeth, his childhood sweetheart. Unfortunately, right as he gets ready to pop the question, they learn that her dad’s done the unthinkable. In an effort to try and save their farm, he’s incurred an immense amount of gambling debts which he can’t ever pay back and gotten involved with a guy of incredible power and wealth. His name is Lord Thomas.
When the debtor decides he’ll pardon this debt in exchange for a simple favor, her dad agrees wholeheartedly. Lord Thomas, upon seeing the portrait of all three beautiful daughters, negotiates to marry the one daughter of his choosing. And he selects Elisabeth.
What happens then when Elisabeth’s whole life gets overturned by a simple deal with the devil and she gets whisked away off to London to be this man’s prize? Will her traitorous heart fall for this Lord Thomas? Or is it going to remain true to William?
“Becoming Countess Dumont” is the first novel in the “Becoming Her” series and it was released in 2015. Edith Merriweather has done some rather deplorable things in her past, which includes breaking the heart of her little sister by betraying her in the most unforgivable way possible. Edith’s ready to come clean and finally beg for forgiveness when this handsome stranger comes into her life.
The man offers her an escape from reality, where she is only destined to be a single and poor woman for the rest of her life. This man entices her with this contract she just can’t easily refuse. The great Earl of Havering, named Alexander Dumont, has decided to marry Edith.
However it’s not because the playboy actually loves her. Nope. He just needs a wife in order to convince his dad that he has settled down and is capable of inheriting their exorbitant amount of wealth. He promises Edith that he’ll lavish her with his riches and indulge her in any desire that she could ever possibly want, which includes letting her have as many lovers as she wishes. Most appealing part of all of this is that she will also become a countess.
Together, Edith and Alexander conspire to pull one of the grandest deceptive acts of their period. Somewhere along the way, however, the lines of their fake marriage get blurred and something totally foreign comes into the picture. Love.
Is becoming a Countess going to weaken her heart, which she has always kept protected under a callous and hard outer shell? And if Alexander goes and breaks her vulnerable heart, is she going to be able to go on with their sham of a marriage they’ve entered into? Or is she going to reveal this falsehood to his dad?
“This is War, Baby” is the first novel in the “War & Peace” series and it was released in 2016. Seventeen year old Baylee Winston’s life had a plan. Until Gabe invaded it and stole all of it away. Her captor took her and she was then only a pawn. Gabe’s strategy changed and he sent her away to WAR, since money is everything in this world of his.
In her WAR, however, she found peace. She couldn’t help but find love where she least expected, with a man, named War, that lived a battle each and every day of his life. All of it inside of his own head.
However then her captor returned for her. But this time around, battle lines had been drawn and Baylee was protected. So she and War each thought. Even though her WAR was raging on, her captor would battle it out to the death. The good guys always win, yeah? Well, not always. All is fair in love and in war, yeah? Not this time around.
This is a dark romance. Like, really, dark. So dark that you will end up wishing that you had a flashlight in order to see yourself to the very end and somebody to hold your hand. Dubious consent, human trafficking, and strong sexual themes which could trigger emotional distress are found in the story. It’s a story that is not for everybody.

BOOK OF THE MONTH:
He's one of my favourite standalone thriller authors, and you better believe if he is releasing a book, it's going to be our book of the month!
Not A Word is the latest chilling thriller written by Linwood Barcly. A man visits his parents house only to discover them dead. What appears to be a murder-suicide is apparently so much more. And just as the man is taking it all in, he receives a phone call that's going to change everything.
