An American author of romance novels, Kailee Reese Samuels is well known for her addictive and highly compelling writing style. Born in America, the author to be Kailee Reese Samuels would invest herself heavily in both reading and writing from an early age. Setting herself apart from other writers in her field, she would come to find her own niche and style as an author.

Focusing on the romance genre, she sought to infuse it with a sense of darkness, giving it a more erotic edge. This would soon prove to be successful for her as a novelist, as readers from around the world would respond positively to her work. Currently living in rural Texas in a farmhouse, she lives with her partner, as she continues to write to this present day.

Writing Career
The first novel that Kailee Reese Samuels would write was called ‘Juliet’ and it would mark the beginning of her career as a romance novelist. This was in 2015, and just one year later in 2016 she would release the first in her series ‘The SOS,’ which would be titled ‘The Initiation.’ Over the course of her career to follow she’d then proceed to write several different series, which all feature different thematic ideas. Winning plenty of awards and nominations, she’s gone on to be hugely popular, and will continue to be so for many years yet.

Initially published through ‘The Sugargrove Book Company’ publishing company, this would come out to much fanfare. Following up from the previous title, this would be the second book in the ‘She/He A Duet’ series of books, looking at two sides of a relationship. First released on the 20th of April in 2018, this would round off the series, giving fans from all over the closure they wanted.

Essentially working as a darker brand of romantic literature, there’s definitely some difficult subject matter here. There’s also a lot of passion with some erotic undertones resonating throughout, giving it a strong sense of atmosphere and ambiance. Dealing with it all in a sensitive and heartfelt manner, Samuels manages to really convey the heartache of the central relationship.

While it continues on from the previous book, this looks at the story from the perspective of Joe, or ‘he’ as the title states. Giving a clear representation of his world, it delivers everything that needed answering from the first novel, plus plenty more. Developing the story and the characters, it definitely delivers on multiple levels, making it a must for fans of the series and the genre.

Dealing with Natalie and Joe’s relationship, it looks at the heartache the two of them must overcome to find each other. Persevering to fight through the obstacles in their path, with Joe needing to deal with the pain of losing his wife, while Natalie must also deal with the pain of the past. Dealing with a love that conquers all they must fight through the darkness to find the light with each other at the end. Will they endure though, and make it through the pain? Can their love truly find a way? What will become of he?

Son of Angel
Originally brought out in 2019 on the 11th of January, this would be the second book in the ‘Sons’ series of books. Set in the same world, it looks at a different character, taking their story as a ‘son’ brought up in the violent world of the Mafiosa. Released through ‘The Sugargrove Book Company’ publishing label again, this would features its own thriller self-contained narrative.
There’s a whole web of intrigue and lies here, as it constantly keeps the reader guessing constantly the whole way. Written in a realistic style, it deals with tough subject matter, while also ensuring that it’s entertaining and compelling to read. From the characters to the setting, everything here is firmly set in place from the outset, as Samuels fully understands where she’s taking it at all times.

Looking at the story Dominic Gennaro, the one son of Chicago Mafia kingpin Angelo Gennaro, it looks at his life. Here it examines his relationships, and how he finds himself in a web of intrigue and mysteries surrounding him and those he cares about. Manipulative to the extreme, he must use his wits to get what he wants, making the most of every resource at his disposal. Will he be able to manage it? Can he find what he’s looking for? What will become of this one son of Angel?
