Karen Anders grew in the state of Vermont. She was a mutinous girl who loved to read novels of different genres. She is a single mother of 2 daughters and currently working at North Carolina University. She was a bookworm at young age. When other children were busy in playing around with teddy bears, she was dragging around books. It’s no surprise that the foundation of her career as a writer was laid at young age only. She started making along with her sister at a very young age. Both of them spent many nights playing those stories at their sleeping time. She started reading romantic novels in high school and first romantic novel she read was The Princess Bride by William Goldman. Karen loved the book that much that she wrote a letter to William Goldman,the author of the book.The publisher of the book cut out a scene which she badly wanted for readin. So Karen wrote a letter to the author to get the scene but his publisher was not ready allowing him for sending it to Karen. She was addicted to romantic novels by reading her very first novel and then there was no stopping her. The second novel she read was The Sheik, which was given to her by her grandmother. Her grandmother was in love with Rudolf Valentino who starred in the movie,The Sheik.Her grandmother had the book based on the same movie.She gave that book to Karen. At sixteen, Karen took a class of English reading where she read books. All she did in that class was read books. These books showed Karen the meaning of true love and she felt that romance writers can help in growing this love. It is very adventurous for Karen to find time for writing amidst her busy schedule and chaos of daily life where she has to perform a role of a single mother of 2 daughters as well as of a university dean. She started writing in 1997 when her first book, Jennifer’s Outlaw, was published in April. She has been among the finalists of National Readers’ Choice Award. She has also won the estimable HOLT (Honoring Outstanding Literary Talent ) Medallion for her work.

Following her first novel, she wrote lot of novels and two among them made into the Waldenbooks Bestseller list in 2003.At his Command, her 2012 published novel is one of her highest rated novel. This novel is about a girl Lieutenant named Ambrosia Soto or Sia. She was on the ship to investigate a pilot death, and nearly lost her life at the hands of who she thought was the murderer. When she returned home, she was immediately sent back to investigate another death – this time with a NCIS agent as lead investigator. That agent was her former lover and brother’s best friend, and the man she held responsible. Chris had no intention of backing away from this investigation because of Sia’s presence. He had finally put the events of that day behind him, and planned to do his job, with or without her help. Sia was very good at her job, but suffered from a bit of tunnel vision when it came to Chris and her brother’s death. She just didn’t seem to be able to move on from his death without being able to find someone to blame. One thing she didn’t expect was that they were still intensely attracted to each other. As their investigation progressed, Sia suffered from a series of accidents, and it became apparent that someone didn’t want her to investigate. This novel of Karen was very intense and kept the readers stick to the pages.In 2003,she published a “Women who dare” series which consisted of three novels: Hers to Take, Yours to Seduce and Mine to Entice. The first novel, Hers to take, is about a tough and beautiful cop called Sienna Parker. Parker always get her man and this time she has got the challenge to seduce a sexy man named A.J.Camancho who himself is a challenge for Parker. Camancho is a hot shot U.S Navy guy and is dogging each and every step of Parker in an important case. Her second novel in the series is about a firefighter Lana Dempsey who is having a crush on Sean O’Neill. When Lana finally tackles Sean in the showers, its a five alarm blaze. Both of them striped of their uniforms which Lana always wanted to do. Sean was a man who never says no and is always attracted towards Lana but he don’t want to put their friendship at risk. This novel is about a sexy relationship between the two characters which is knocked down by an emotional twist. The third and final novel of the series consists of a hot and smart forensic investigator called Kate Quinn who wants to ditch her nickname of “Sister Kate”. Her world gets complicated when a man she felt is innocent, is charged with murder. Jericho, deputy district attorney, is a man who always defends Kate. Jericho is aroused by Kate’s sensual ways and incredible looks but he never wants to cross the line with a colleague. Both of them put everything on line as the murder case reaches to new level.Kate has written a total of 12 books. She asks her readers to hook to her novels and enjoy her stories as much as she enjoy in writing them. Besides writing, her other creative hobbies includes painting. She loves to paint in both Chinese brush and watercolors. She is a proud and divorced mom of her two daughters. One of her daughter is already launched in the world and other is in college. Karen moved to North Virginia in 1981 and then to north Carolina in 2006 but she misses the beautiful mountains and the nature of her home state. Life of Kate Anders has been an extraordinary example of struggle which she executed very beautifully. She has showed the World the true meaning of love through her novels which wrote with extreme dedication.
