Karla Sorensen is a humor and comedy, contemporary, and romance author. She loves to describe herself as a mother and wife who always strives to bring a smile to another person’s face. She has an obsession with the show “Outlander” and has read almost all the books in the series. However, she does prefer romance fiction for the most part and hence she knows that since she hardly ever reads the classics, she will never be deemed a literary snob. Nonetheless, Sorensen has said that if she was allowed to go back in time, Jane Austen would be among the first people in her short list of people to meet. As a teen, she went to college and graduated with a Public Relations degree before she went on to find a job in health care marketing. A few years later, Karla then met her and married her husband and started a family. Sorensen has said that she loves a good glass of wine and when she is not writing her novels, she can often be found browsing social media though she hates that she has to do it.

Sorensen has been a voracious reader from the time she was in her teens when she used to devour all manner of happily ever after novels at the exclusion of all other genres. Moreover, she has always had books as a line item when she is doing her monthly budgets. As such, it was not very surprising that she decided to write and publish her own just so that she could reduce that bill. Karla never needs much to be happy as a huge glass of wine, a book, and half an hour of total science every day will do it. She once upon a time had a career in health marketing before she became a stay at home mother, and she still tries to keep abreast of happenings in that sector. However, much of her time is spent taking care of her babies, and writing, which means that most of the time she can be found walking or sitting around the house in pajamas. She currently lives in West Michigan with her two sons and her big and shaggy rescue dog.

By Your Side by Karla Sorensen is a thrilling romance novel about Casey Steadman and Jake Miller. Jake is a man that had always lived to live a solitary, quiet, and simple life. Since his mother died, he has been left in charge of all her properties and now intends to make his mother’s legacy his purpose. He had never been there for her before since he had been in the army but now that he is out, he will do everything to make it right. It will just be him and his dog just how he likes it until his first tenant throws him a curveball. Her blinding smiles and innate openness she is the opposite of anything he would be interested in. Casey Steadman his tenant is a twenty-nine-year-old who thinks that it is time she grew up. She should have been married with her very own white picket fence by now, but all she has had are a few lukewarm relationships, an excellent shoe collection bought on credit, and a remarkably crappy flat. She finally decided to move into a big and new place since she thinks it is long overdue. She has been putting off such mature and boring decisions for years now but now she believes it is time to prove to her family that she has finally grown up. But she never expected to be the tenant of a hotter than hell man. The sparks are soon flying and the lightly pessimistic and stoically silent Army Ranger and landlord cannot recognize himself besides the once upon a time budget repelling, dog-hating, and stiletto loving tenant.

In Light Me Up by Karla Sorensen, it has been an interesting half a year for Rachel Hennesy. She had been fired from her job, got cheated on by her boyfriend, and then started her wedding planning business. It sounds quite interesting, but in reality, it had been one of the most terrifying things she ever did. To top it all off, she had an alcohol drive one-night stand with Tate her crush since her teenage years that also happens to be the brother to one of her best friends. But for Tate, the one-night stand is just what he needed as he finally feels free from a relationship from hell that had taken half a decade of his life. He now feels like he found the woman of his dreams as he intends to pursue Rachel as one night just will not do. He wants her more than anything he ever wanted and he cannot just disentangle himself. Things take a turn for the complicated when she announces that she is pregnant and he says they should get married. She has no way of knowing if it is true love or maybe he just wants to do the right thing by her. While the chemistry between them is hot enough to burn down a city he still needs to learn how to let down her guard when she is around him. A mistake is what they might need to propel them to find the love they need to change their lives.

Karla Sorensen’s Tell Them Lies is a thrilling romance story of Liz Peters a woman that always wanted a Jane Austen like happily ever after though it is yet to happen. She had been the “always a bridesmaid” type that is just about to go crazy when she meets a man who is very far from what she had been looking for in a man. Kieran Carter is willing to do anything to make his critically ill mother happy even if for the last time. When he bumps into a stranger at the grocery store looking for ice cream, he thinks that the opportunity to make his mother happy may just have presented itself. He will lie if possible, just to give his mother the hope she needs to hang on for a little while more. It all seems so tidy and neat and they come to an arrangement that would be beneficial for both of them. But then the lines soon become blurred and they can no longer keep lying to everyone that they love. They can no longer tell what is for show and what is real as somewhere along the line they had fallen for each other.
