Flower Shop Mysteries
Mum’s the Word
This is the first book in the award winning series by Kate Collins. It focuses on Abby Knight who owns a flower shop at her hometown. Unfortunately, new low-cost competitors are bringing down her profits. In addition, her vintage Corvette was rammed by a black SUV in a hit-and-run. She is determined to find the driver. She didn’t expect things to turn from sour to bitter and fears that the next flower arrangement might be for her funeral…
Slay it with Flowers
Abby Knight, a law school dropout and a proud owner of a flower shop, is asked to be the bridesmaid by her cousin. However, just before the couple say their wedding vows, the groomsman disappears and the body of a member at the wedding party is discovered. Now, it is up to Abby to uncover the truth by going down a list of suspects and ensure that the bride gets to church on time.
Dearly Depotted
Abby Knight, the new owner of Bloomers florists, is going to have another forth July from Hell. She has a lot to take care of; the flowers, the wedding dress that made her look like a clown and babysitting her wandering grandma. That’s not all! She has to find out who murdered a wedding crusher.
Jillian, Abby’s cousin, has now rejected four men at the altar. This creates high stress levels for everyone involved with the wedding as the D-day approaches. Abby is now pressured more than ever. She had three things to worry about; the best man (her ex fiancé), wearing a hideous dress and working overtime as an analyst for the run-away bride.
This time, the odds are on everyone’s side as Jillian makes it to the altar and the wedding flows smoothly. This is until Abby discovers the body of Jack Snyder, an ex-con, dressed as a waiter dumped behind the minister’s platform. She tries to find the killer with the help of Marco Salvare and her assistants Lottie and Grace.
Snipped in the Bud
A black rose is ordered for Abby Knight’s old law school nemesis, Professor ‘Snapdragon’ Puffer. Abby’s speedy delivery plan shatters when he catches her putting the bloom on his desk and sends it straight to trash. As she flees away in terror, she bumps into Carson Reed, a professor who had her arrested during an animal rights protest.
She storms out of the building after an exchange of bitter words. To her, this is a blended form of bullying and injustice. She ignores the advice from her boyfriend, Marco, and goes back for not only her dignity but also the flower…the flower which is now decorating the body of a dead professor. And guess who the prime suspect is…
Acts of Violet
Marco, Abby’s boyfriend, suddenly disappears for a day during the annual Pickle Fest. Once he returns, he is the number one suspect for the death of a clown. The police found Snuggles body floating over water and Marco was the last person seen leaving the house. Even though she doesn’t know him well, Abby knows he is innocent and has to find a way of proving it.
A Rose from the Dead
Once she notices her business is about to crumble, Abby Knight is really stressed out. New customers are all she need but she knows that funerals and flowers go hand-in-hand. This prompts her to open up a floral booth at Funeral Director Society’s annual convention.
The flaw in this plan is that Abby has to deal with some creepy souls who appreciate the Dearly Depotted as no one else can dig them.
Shoots to Kill
Abby Knight babysat a problematic teen named Elizabeth eight years ago. Now, Elizabeth is back as Libby and has a whole new life. A life stolen, stolen from Abby. Libby is even trying to steal her boyfriend, Marco. The imitation becomes serious when Abby is accused of a bizarre murder plot.
Evil in Carnations
Abby Knight encourages Nikki, her roommate, to give speed dating a try as she tries to help her out of her single slump. Nikki wants Jonas Treat a.k.a ‘Treat the Cheat’ who is at the bottom of Abby’s list. After their first date, Jonas is found dead and all evidence points out that Nicki is the killer.
To prove Nikki is innocent, Abby seeks help from her boyfriend, Marco, an ex-Army Ranger. However, Marco’s extended family turns Abby’s hectic life into a disaster zone. The killer is still on the loose and she has to dig herself out of this mess before she is buried…
Sleeping with Anemone
It might have been a bad idea for Abby Knight to choose a home and garden show sponsored by Uniworld Food as the venue for the protest against the company’s harmful practices. Removing her from the event will not stop her campaign. After escaping three kidnap attempts, Abby calls in the big guns and the stakes are raised by murder…
Dirty Rotten Tendrils
After the death of a powerful lawyer Ken Lipinski, Abby Knight’s old boss is the prime suspect. Abby doesn’t believe that her old boss, who was also Ken’s opposing counsel, was the killer.
Night of the Living Dandelion
Rumors that Vlad Serban, Marco’s employee and friend, is a vampire are spreading like fire in the wilderness. However, Abby Knight doesn’t believe in them. But is there a way of explaining the prominent canines, black dress code and plants such as Dracula Orchid that come with Vlad? Things become real when a local woman is found dead and her body drained of blood.
