Katherine Bone is a published author of fictional novels.

The author has had a passion for historical things, any and all, ever since she’s been the child of the Army lifestyle making her way all around the world. When she was younger, she met a handsome lieutenant, this Prince Charming swept her off her feet, and they fell in love.

Upon meeting him, it was more traveling. Together they went to Army bases as well as battlegrounds, castles, and cathedrals. Katherine became inspired by her muse during this time period and she would go into her imagination. There she found interesting characters and adventures that would take her mind off of being alone while her love was away.

They may have once been traveling everywhere, but since then, things have settled down. She and her love have had four children that they have raised together. They have also set down roots in the south and are now living happily ever after along with their pet cat, who is named Christine Daae.

Bone is the creator and the author of the Nelson’s Tea series as well as the Regent’s Revenge series. She has written stand alone books as well, including Lost Treasure, Captive Princess and Romancing the Jewel. There are a few books in the Nelson’s Tea series, some full length while the other is a novella (My Lady Rogue) while the other is an introduction to this series (My Lord Rogue).

The series is named Nelson’s Tea for a reason. Named after Admiral Horatio Nelson and his tea, the man was never far away from this hot beverage. Even when a battle was going on, this Admiral always had tea. In this series of novels, it could also mean a (in this case fictional) group that had been organized by Nelson. This group was full of mercenaries and were a variety of men that would come to the call of action when asked. These were trusted and disciplined men that would protect England and serve the crown at any cost.

Duke By Day, Rogue By Night is the first book in the Nelson’s Tea series by Katherine Bone. In this book, readers get to meet the character of Lady Constance Danbury for the first time.

Lady Constance is in a tremendously awkward and terrible position. She is in the middle of the prospect of an arranged marriage that has been set to an older man that has a cruel demeanor. This is of course because financial dealings that did not go well are now encroaching on the reputation of her father. However, Lady Constance very much doubts that she can go through with the betrothal.

She’s desperate to do what it takes to get out of this, and so she goes on a ship that is going to Spain in an attempt to get the help of an estranged aunt. The last thing that she ever thought was that the ship she was on would be taken by pirates. Just like that, her plans to achieve liberty are struck down.

Meanwhile, she cannot help remembering how her mother died at the hands of pirates such as these. As a result she has no desire to lower herself to bowing to a corsair. There may be help out there for her yet, however. The Duke of Blendingham is Percival Avery. He belongs to an elite, selected group of men that make up Nelson’s Tea. These patriots have the task of protecting the shores of England using whatever tools they have at their disposal.

It’s a huge cost to serve the crown, and it takes sacrifice. The Duke has to live two lives in order to exist in both worlds. When he is on land he is a nobleman with riches and lands. When he is at sea he becomes a corsair that goes where no civilian dares enter. It is a lot of work to separate the two identities, but Percy is picking up on the fact that they’re starting to reach the end of the line while in the middle of working his way into a pirate ring.

All of a sudden, Percy has a choice to make. Should he carry out the mission he was assigned or try to save the niece of his commander? She’s a woman so gorgeous that the choice is nearly made for him. But as he tries to get her back to London, it’s proving difficult. On Lady Constance’s part, she’s starting to fall for the man that was her salvation.

Percy knows that when it comes to his world of espionage and double lives, he may very well be putting her in danger by taking her into his arms. Now he must protect her from pirates and enemies but also the effects of his feelings. Can he avoid getting involved? Or will temptation be too great? Read the first novel in the Nelson’s Tea series to find out!

The Rogue’s Prize is the second novel in the Nelson’s Tea series. Readers get to meet all new characters in this book, such as Captain Henry Guffald.

He may be a captain, but he also belongs to the group of elite members known as Nelson’s Tea. So it should be no surprise that while posing as a naval officer, he goes on risky missions to try and bring down Napoleon. This time around the block, his mission is to go to Spain, sailing there to bring back a man that was captured by an ally of Napoleon. The man has intelligence that needs to come back with Captain Henry safe and sound.

Henry also needs to show Admiral Nelson that he’s worth the trust after a mission gone wrong. He needs this plan to succeed. The last thing that he ever saw coming would be an obstacle in the form of a pretty pirate woman. Lady Adele Seaton rushes to rescue her brother in Spain and wants to intercept a ship of the Royal Navy to do so.

When she meets Henry, will she have finally met her equal? The two joining forces together could result in a brilliant mission or their chemistry could be the end of them. What will happen? Read this book to find out!
