Kathi Daley is one of the well known authors from The United States, who likes to write her books based on the romance and mystery genres. She is particularly well known for writing the highly successful Zoe Donovan mystery series. In addition to it, she has also written a few other mystery series, which have also become successful over the years. Author Daley’s mystery books often include an element of romance in them, which makes them even more interesting and intriguing to read. It is rightly said about her books that the readers choose to read them for mystery, but get stuck with it because of the romance. Author Daley resides in the beautiful community of alpine near Lake Tahoe. She is happily married and stays with her loving husband named Ken, children, grandchildren, and a pet dog named Echo. Whenever she is not busy with her writing works, she likes to spend time hanging out with her grandchildren on the beach. At the time of summer, author Daley likes to enjoy kayaking, hiking, wakeboarding, mountain biking, sunset cruises, etc. During winters, she loves to get involved in snowshoeing, skiing cross country, and sitting by the bonfire with a cup of coffee and a nice book in her hand. Author Daley says that she gets inspiration for writing her books from her beautiful mountain home. The inspiration includes the appearances of the wildlife with which Daley often shares her life. In addition to writing mystery novels, author Daley also enjoys reading the works of other authors. The other activities that she likes to indulge herself in include cooking cheese and chocolate dishes, gardening, and planting. Author Daley has developed a personal website, on which she posts the recent happenings in her writing career as well as gives updates about the her upcoming books. She also uses the website to interact with her fans and readers and urges them to give sincere reviews to her books. Then, Daley uses the reviews to make necessary changes in her next books so as to suit the needs of the readers. Daley always seems cautious about the likes and dislikes of her fans and never intends to disappoint them. She has even maintained a Facebook page in her name on which she updates beautiful photos, recipes, giveaways, contests, and information about the publication dates of her recent novels.

One of the most successful novel series written by Kathi Daley is titled as ‘Seacliff High Mystery’ series. It is comprised of a total of 5 novels, all of which were released in the year 2015. The debut novel of this intriguing mystery series is entitled ‘The Secret’. It was published by the publishing house of author Daley herself, the Kathi Daley Books, in 2015. Author Daley has described the primary characters in this book as Alyson Prescott and her mother. She has set the story in Cutters Cove, Oregon. At the beginning of the story, it is shown that Alyson Prescott shifts to the town of Cutters Cove in Oregon along with her mom. Both of them get placed as per the program of witness protection and this step is taken to ensure their safety by the officials. Before being placed into the program, she was working as an heiress, listed on the A-list. She had an exciting lifestyle and was secure with old money. But, she came across a murder which was executed by a couple of members from the family of a powerful gang. And when she decided to turn in as a witness, her life was put in danger. She knew that she will be chased down by the members of the gang. Even the police were aware of this, which forced them to put her in the protection program of the witnesses and relocate her to Cutters Cove.

Because of this, Alyson Prescott was forced to leave behind her previous life and live her life as a middle class girl. Even the town in which she is moved appears to be a middle class one. As Alyson tries to adjust to the changed lifestyle, she finds it very difficult. In fact, she struggles to live a duplicate life. Things become more difficult when Alyson attempts to reconcile the new and old lives. In Cutters Cove, she and her mother purchase an old mansion located on a cliff. Soon after, Alyson discovers that there is a secret hidden in the house. It appears that the answer to the secret was known only to the previous resident, who is now dead. Alyson joins the new friends that she makes in Seacliff High and tries to solve the 50 year old mystery. The secret seems to hold the answers to a murder trail, lies, deception, and embezzlement. And during the course of the journey, Alyson Prescott forges friendships that seem to last forever. This enables her to live through her changed life with ease.

Another popular book published in the series is titled ‘The Relic’. This book features the lead characters as Alyson Prescott and Mac. At the start of the book, it is depicted that Alyson Prescott is led to map of hidden treasure because of the ghost of a dead man, just days before the occasion of Thanksgiving. Tempted to find the treasure, she asks her friends to join her in the quest and follow the trail of clues. As Alyson and her new friends dig deeper into the old mystery, they come across a legend related to a relic. They learn that the relic was once believed to have powers to sustain life. In order to search the relic, Alyson goes deep into the caverns existing beneath the Cutters Cove town. In their attempt to find the valuable relic, they face a number of obstacles. After going too deep into the search, Alyson Prescott and the gang realize that they much try to defeat their personal fears so as to find a way out of the caverns as well as discover the relic. In the meantime, Alyson tells everything related to her past life to Mac. She also reveals to him the reason because of which she had to leave her exciting life behind. Alyson also informs Mac about the dangers that she has to deal with each and every day in her life and they she tries to overcome them in order ensure that she and her mother are safe. After telling him everything, Alyson asks Mac whether he still wants to have a relationship with her. But, what appears to be more important at the moment is to find out how to solve the mystery and move out of the caverns’ system.

   Dear Kathi,
   I am enjoying your series and have read the entire the Inn at Holiday Bay series and am in the middle of the Goosebay series. You are a prolific writer and I am a very fast reader(4-7 books a week) so you have given me a few weeks of very enjoyable reading.
   What I want to share with you is how your and all the other author’s books are now listed in Amazon. Under the author listing the books always had the publication date listed. Since they changed their format last month those are not available anymore.To me that is very upsetting. Fortunately I found your booklist at bookseriesinorder.com. However Amazon should rectify their mistake. I don’t know what influence authors have in that respect, but in my opinion Amazon is doing them and the authors an enormous disservice.
