One of the renowned and the most popular writers, Kathryn Lasky was born in huge area of grassland, which was indeed a very big house. The place, where she was brought up had a garage, and drive way for skating. Although, this place where she was born was not much hilly area but there was a pond at the bottom where Kathryn Lasky used to play in summer with her sister and friend. Her mother was very intelligent and honest. Most of the people would relate her mom to Greta Grobo, who was the most popular movie start of that time. She was the one, who convinced Kathryn Lasky to be a writer because she always thought that she was smart, hardworking, a good listener, and an attentive person. Her father was also very smart. He died in the age of ninety-one. He never studied in school but got admission in law school somehow. He never worked in law profession and always wanted to have his own business, which he certainly started and it went successful. The beauty of his nature was that he was self made person and was a superb athlete. He was the first Jew who was born in Minnesota and amazingly, when he was born, almost everyone from his town came to see him as nobody had ever seen any Jewish baby ever at that time. To talk about physique and nature of Kathryn Lasky, she had gray hair and wrinkles and had great sense of humor. She used to have circus tactics in her childhood along with her friend Carole and would always dress her dog Suzy in skirts putting hat on her head. She used to teach her dog about how to jump. She used to pass most of his time with either her friend or her dog.
Educational History
School had never been her favorite. She was admitted to a school where all teachers were old ladies except few of them. Her eighth level teacher was very young and beautiful. She was Miss. Oldham by name. She used to teach her French language. Though she was old but she had maintained her health very nicely. Amazingly, she was having numerous husbands and countless boyfriends, which she told herself to Kathryn Lasky and her class fellows. Similarly, she was promoted to college and she now started thinking that she was the only one who was smart enough to produce best results. She was never a late comer and luckily, she bloomed the college. She then was promoted to university where she got lot of A grades and she was in love with English language. She took English language as her major and performed very well in English literature. She had a great love for Victorian studies as well as Romantic poetries. In addition to this, she used to study renaissance literature as much as she could and she was in love with that. So, here she was about to start her career now and she was almost into it luckily
Employment History
Going through employment history of Kathryn Lasky, she had her first job, which proved to be the worst experience of her life where she had been writing for some fashion magazine and she really hated it and this phase of life, she could never forget. Later on, she started looking for her second job, where she had to teach in some school. So, she started teaching there and from there, her employment history as well as married life started booming. This was because she now had found someone special for her life. with whom she could choose as her life partner. He was teaching in the same school where they met, became friends, and fell in love. His name was Chris Knight. To talk more about Chris, he was very different from others and he was short and blonde. As Kathryn Lasky was long and tall, so Chris looked like a short Robert Refdforde in front of her. Chris was daring, loving, caring, and beautiful, He was National Geographic photographer by profession and was very hardworking person.
Her First Publication
After marrying Chris, when she was coming back, she started noticing bird life and she loved it. Also, she noticed that dolphins were so playful and she loved the whole Atlantic spiritual experiences. She sailed twice across Atlantic and finally managed to write a book and called it Atlantic Circle. This was the first publication being made by Kathryn Lasky.
Publications
She had been wiring on numerous books and the most popular topics for her writing were fantasy, fiction, non-fiction, picture, and books for grownups.
Fantasy
Horses of the Dawn was the book written by Kathryn Lasky where a horse named Estrella was taken into possession by a spoiled cruel man having poor and non-realistic dreams. This man would beat the horse with sharp metals and whips and if you read this, thrilling conclusion being given by Kathryn Lasky would surely make you breathless.
Fiction
Chasing Orion was also one of the best publications she had made. It was about the disease named Polio, which was spread among all over and everyone was afraid of this terrifying disease in 1952.Its about two people Georgie and Phyllis where Phyllis lied to everyone that she was victim of the disease and spread the disease to others.
Non-Fiction
Monarchs is another writing done by Lasky, which was a biological discussion. She gives us biological information in superb readable posture. She discussed butterfly lifecycle in it and had discussed about Mexico and California that how they used to host insects during specific seasons. It was also worth reading publication no doubt.
Conclusion
To sum up, Kathryn Lasky was not only an exceptional writer but had been a good daughter as well as wife. Few of her other publications include: The Crossing, Heroes of Dawn: Star Rise, Heroes of Dawn: Escape, and lot more. She had passion of learning new things and the most beautiful thing in her life was that she was always examining the life, nature, and was giving her focus on the things going on around her, which was really amazing. This was the only key, which made her a heroic writer undoubtedly.
