Largely writing romance and paranormal stories, Kathryn Moon is an American novelist who’s been entertaining readers for some time now. Making an impact with readers from all around the world, her work is internationally recognized as being at the forefront of its genre. Providing a real sense of escapism, she understands the genre well, having fun with it, and not taking it too seriously either. Over time this has won her legions of fans from around the world, as her work has resonated with readers both far and wide.

Creating fantastical worlds that remain fairly close to real-life, her fiction is easy to get lost in, as the reader immerses themselves. Coming back for more time and time again, her writing is evocative and engaging, really creating a distinctive mood and atmosphere that submerges the audience. With a vivid and powerful ambiance, she has become a household name for many, as her books have become a permanent fixture for scores of fans. Whether it’s her series or her characters, her writing is always compelling, pushing at the boundaries of what fantasy fiction can really achieve.

Her books also resonate on a personal level as well, with each of her characters feeling wholly real and authentic on the page. Letting many of her protagonists speak for themselves, each of them has their own personality that really stands out making an impression. So often it’s the case that readers have a hard time wanting to leave her worlds, as they have trouble putting the book down. Her writing is highly addictive, and she has a lot more to follow still, as she continues putting out work regularly and consistently.

Early and Personal Life

Growing up keenly interested in all things literature, Kathryn Moon, born and raised in America, was always fascinated with both reading and writing. Learning the her craft inside and out, she would focus herself on her craft, making a name for herself as an author with something to say. Dictating stories to her mother from a young age, she would grow up in the country, drawing inspiration from the world around her.

Harnessing her skills as a writer, she would refine her style very much making it hers and hers alone as time went on. Graduating from college with a degree in fiction writing, she would develop herself as a writer, allowing her to find her own unique approach. Currently living and working in Ohio to this very day, she continues to write, as more and more discover her work every day.

Writing Career

Starting out her literary career back in 2018, Kathryn Moon would begin with her debut novel ‘Written,’ which was also the first in the ‘Librarian’s Cove’ series of novels. Over the years she’s written numerous other series too, such as ‘Summerland,’ ‘Sweet Pea Mystery,’ ‘Tempting Monsters,’ and ‘Inheritance of Hunger’ to name just some of them. She’s also written alongside fellow authors such as Crystal Ash, while contributing to series including ‘Sweetverse’ as well.

Focusing on female characters who are both strong and vulnerable, she creates realistic fully-rounded protagonists that readers can relate to. Combining magic, fantasy, and romance to thrilling effect, she has very much established her own idiosyncratic style and approach. Regularly communicating with fans of hers, she’s often found speaking out about her craft, with more on the horizon.

Ancients

Originally brought out back in 2019 on the 26th of July, this would initially come out on the Kindle publishing platform. Marking the fourth and final story in ‘The Librarian’s Coven’ series of fantasy novels, this would carry on from the previous books in the franchise. It’s best that they’re all read in order so as to gain the most from the series overall, with its ongoing long-running narrative arc.

As a race of creatures that are somewhere between monsters and gods, the Ancients have found themselves trapped within Canderfey. Facing off against potentially deadly peril, Joanna along with the rest of her coven remain with the town’s residents, as they continue to fight for the University and their home. Then one of the Ancients escapes from its boundary, leaving the coven to be separated, as Isaac heads off for a solution leaving Joanna to keep a warrior spirit with the rest of the coven. Will she be able to hold strong though, can they find a solution, and what will become of the race known as the Ancients?

Building upon the compelling premise of what came before, this entry into the series is exceptional in how it maintains the tone. Further developing the character of Jessica, it really works with its world-building, making for an imaginative and compelling story. Keeping the readers hooked and constantly turning the page, it really delivers on every level, making for a fun and entertaining novel.

The Kingdom’s Crown

First released in 2020 on the 29th of December, this would come out through the Kindle publishing platform once again. Following on from the previous books, it was also part of a series, with it being the third and final part of the ‘Inheritance of Hunger’ series of novels. Continuing on from the previous titles, it’s a fantasy story with some adult themes with scenes of erotica throughout, and it’s best read in order with the other books.

Being challenged, attacked, and threatened, Princess Bryony has defended herself along with her Chosen, but she’s then given news from the capital. Now with her best ally risked, the crown may be lost, especially if her own grandmother turns against her removing her support. Now she must make a painful sacrifice if she ever hopes to claim what’s hers, and break the council’s grip upon the kingdom. Will she be able to see it through though, where will her journey take her, and can she finally claim the kingdom’s crown?

The book and story itself is a lot of fun, and it really ties everything up for readers looking for a satisfying conclusion to the series. Letting the characters speak for themselves, everyone’s arcs are sufficiently completed, making it a must for long-term fans of the franchise. While the books need to be read in order to make sense of it all, it’s a series that remains accessible to both fans of fantasy and newcomers alike.
