Early and Personal Life
Sneaking her mom’s ever so secret book stash from a very early age, Katie Reus managed to hone and refine her skills from a very early age, building her into the writer that she is today. Taking inspiration from the world around her she managed to mold an extremely lucrative and highly successful writing career. With a strong interest in romance, she had just as much a passion for reading it as she did writing it.
Using the world around her, Reus was able to establish a clear voice and tone that helped her move forwards in her adult writing career. With a keen interest in romance she always had a strong idea of what it was that she wanted to do with her material. Able to craft a high level of suspense and intrigue as well, she was able to create a quality page turner too.
Being a writer as a career choice wasn’t always on the books though, as she studied psychology graduating with a degree in it later on. This in turn helped her to get inside the characters and understand them, which allowed her work to have an even greater degree of insight. That was when she discovered her love for writing and embarked on the career that she finds herself in to day.
Gaining a great degree of both critical and commercial success, she now devotes herself full-time to her writing career on a permanent basis. As a bestselling author, the public appeal of her books keeps growing and growing, as she becomes a well established figure upon the literary scene. Creating a name for herself after quite some time finding what it was she wanted to do, it now appears she’s here to stay for some time yet.
Writing Career
Also writing as Savannah Stuart where she includes more erotic oriented material, the American author Katie Reus is well known for her unique brand of combining both the paranormal and the romance to fantastical effect. Focusing on military based characters, she has a strong affection for military based story-lines due her own extensive history with the service and meeting her husband there. This provides the books with a sense of realism that is quite unlike most of the other writers within her field out there, which in turn is what her readers have come to appreciate about her.
Having received a variety of different awards, Katie Reus has been gaining recognition from both critics and general readers alike, as she’s garnered the respect of both her peers and contemporaries. With a number of awards, she managed to not only reach the top of the New York Times bestseller list, but the USA Today and IndieReader lists as well. Showing no clear signs of stopping anytime soon, there’s plenty more planned on the horizon with multiple franchises set to continue, as she looks set to carry on into the foreseeable future.
Chasing Danger
The third book in the Deadly Ops series and the second half of the danger duo, this is number 2.5 in the franchise overall, as it was part of a long line of books charting the exploits of the deadly operatives. First published in 2015 on the first of April, this saw the next installment of the franchise, as it further established both the style and the tone of the books to come. Whilst the story itself might be new to the series, the format wasn’t allowing readers a clear idea of what to expect in the subsequent books to be released.
Agent Dax Costas is an ex-Delta Force operative who now works for the NSA and is extremely good at his job taking down the terrorist threat by any means necessary. After spending the night with Hannah Young, a Chief Nursing Officer, he’s called away for a two week mission and isn’t able to contact her, despite the passion they both shared. It now appears a maniac wants Hannah dead and it is up to Dax to protect her and keep her out of harm’s way, whilst not letting his passion for her jeopardize the case. What will become of them both and can they manage to keep their burning desire under wraps? Just who is the maniac and what does he want from Hannah? Can they find the maniac as they both go chasing danger?
Sworn To Protect
This is the eleventh title in the Red Stone franchise which, whilst somewhat shorter, is still a conclusive entry into the much lauded and highly popular series. Originally published in 2015 on the 7th of July, this managed to continue the theme and style of what came before, giving the readers more of what they were looking for. Setting itself in Red Stone Security once again, it manages to build an entirely new story from the initial premise, with a whole other set of characters to work with.
Discovering Athena was an innocent, Quinn Brody ended the relationship before things got too heavy, a mistake which he comes to regret after she comes back to work at Red Security in marketing. Looking for another chance he finds she’s not interested, despite the fact that there is still a spark between them both, and he can’t get her out of his mind. Not only that, but someone Quinn put behind bars is out for vengeance and it appears he’ll stop at nothing to get that, even threatening the life of Athena. Will they ever come together as an item? Can they both put the past behind them and move on? What will become of the one he’s sworn to protect?
