Kelly Oram is a young adult romance and general romance author from Phoenix Arizona. Oram grew up with two loving and amazing brothers and sisters that she only realized were amazing once she grew up and had to move away from home.
During her childhood, the family moved around a lot, even though she spent much of her childhood and young adulthood in California, Michigan, and Colorado.

Kelly had a very chaotic and sometimes crazy childhood even though she has said that it was full of love and a lot of fun.

One of the most interesting things she did was model when she was a teenager. She took part in the Miss Michigan Teen USA pageant, even though she never went far with that.

Neither the pageant circuit nor the modeling held any appeal and she quit before anything significant could happen. However, she is glad to have had the experience as she learned that she was more suited to be in the limelight rather than in it.

As for how she started writing, Kelly Oram has said that it is something she has been doing for years. She still has all manner of journals and notebooks filled with old stories she used to write that were so bad, she laughs when she reads them.
Among these is the first manuscript she completed when she was just fifteen. This was a piece of fanfiction work that was based on the “Backstreet Boys.” She has always been a huge lover of fan fiction and has written stories on all manner of characters.

Some of the cultural works on which she has written fan fiction include “Veronica Mars,” “The Backstreet Boys,” “Firefly,” “Smallville,” “Castle,” “NCIS,” and “Supernatural.”

While she had a very active writing habit, she never thought she was a writer and did not think she could ever become a career author.

In her teenage years, she attended the Idaho-based Brigham Young University and took three different majors over three semesters.

Her first major was voice performance then she took general education as she had come to hate music theory before she ended up taking outdoor recreation.

She believes she would complete that course of study had it not been for the fact that she got married and dropped out to go be with her husband in Los Angeles.

It was not until Kelly Oram found herself stuck at home as a stay-at-home mother in a tiny 600 ft square apartment with no car, no TV, and no internet nor cell phone that she got back to writing.

After writing for several years, her friends started telling her that she should start thinking of getting her manuscripts published.

Unlike other authors, she never once tried to publish with traditional publishers. She went straight to Amazon and published Being Jamie Baker in 2010.

Oram now has more than twenty titles to her name spread over several series and single-standing titles. Many of her books have become bestsellers with many nominated for a range of prestigious awards.

She has also sold several rights of her books to foreign publishers across the world. Over the years she has been offered a range of publishing contracts but she does not want to commit and become restricted by traditional publishers.
Moreover, most of her work is usually on top bestseller lists and she could not be happier with things as they are.

“Being Jamie Baker” by Kelly Oram is the story of a seventeen-year-old and the superhuman abilities she has.

Jamie got involved in a serious accident that could have resulted in tragic consequences but instead, it has given her some uncontrollable paranormal abilities.

To keep her secret from leaking out, she becomes a recluse at school and soon earns the title of the resident ice queen of Rocklin High.

However, she soon gets into a supercharged encounter with Ryan Miler, a star quarterback, which destroys any hope of remaining anonymous. Ryan becomes obsessed with her and will do anything to find out what makes the ice queen tick.
However, Ryan is not her only problem and she may ultimately have to learn to harness her unstable powers, or else she may be turned into a government lab rat once she is discovered by the media.

She also needs to throw Miller off before she can well and truly fall for him. This is how things began with Jamie struggling not to fall for Ryan while he is determined to make her his.

Kelly Oram’s novel “More Than Jamie Baker” continues to follow Jamie who has learned to harness her powers and has accepted who she is.

Things have significantly improved and she now has the best boyfriend on Earth and could not have been happier. But then she one day is a witness to an accident and out of fear of getting exposed, she decides not to help the guy.
This is what makes her realize that she needs to be more than Jamie Baker. When Ryan sees his girlfriend full of guilt, he decides that it is time to turn Jamie into an honest-to-goodness superhero.

Still, Jamie needs to find a good super name she is going to be using, even as she fends off the many attempts by Ryan to get into her spandex.

Over time, her alter ego starts making a lot of headlines and it is not long before it is almost impossible to hide her extracurricular activities.

She can’t hide her activities from the government, her best friend, some radical scientists, and the hot and mysterious guy, who will do anything to steal her from Ryan.

“Remember Jamie Baker” by Kelly Oram is the long-awaited and explosive conclusion to a beautiful trilogy.

Jamie is suffering from amnesia and is desperately searching for answers about where she comes from, who she is and why she has supernatural powers.

It is not very easy to investigate she has to hide from the very people that may be responsible for her losing her memory.

These are the people who run an evil scientific research company who need to capture her so that they can study her just as they do lab rats. In her quest for the truth, she unearths a devastating betrayal from the one person she had trusted the most.

She is ultimately forced to work with a secret military organization to stop the evil company’s experiments and ensure her own safety.
