Keri Lake is a paranormal, urban fantasy and romance fiction author from Michigan. Lake went to Michigan State University from where she graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s in science. However, she asserts that she would gladly give up her degrees and pursue her passion for writing fiction. While she mostly writes novels, she has also written a ton of flash fiction, countless short stories. She published her debut novel “Halos: Somnium” in 2011 and since then has become prolific publishing more than fifteen titles since then. The married mother of two currently makes her home in Michigan. When she is not crafting her bestselling titles she loves to spend her time walking her Labrador, traveling, reading and listening to music. If she could have any paranormal powers it would be to be able to flash to any location on the globe. Her favorite location is a beach chair on the North Carolina beach.

As a child, Keri Lake wanted to be a lot of things that included Navy Seal, scientist, dolphin trainer, lawyer, marine biologist and then author. While she is not so sure if she has grown up yet, she is more certain than ever that all she wants to do is be a professional author. Most of the careers that she wanted to pursue were from interacting with people involved in them. However, her inspiration in writing comes from her love for reading, particularly poetry. Her mom used to have a huge book full of poems and she would read and recite the poems from. Her first writing experiences involved poetry writing before she developed a fascination with twisted tales that over time turned into short fiction. Given her passion for writing, her English teacher recommended that she pursues a creative writing career when she went to college. Unfortunately, she let other people convince her to take a degree in the sciences. Nonetheless, she had always been fascinated by demons and angels, evil and good and was soon yearning to write. Her first novel “Somnium” was loosely based on her sister that had left the state years earlier. This had been a scary time for Keri as she was the baby of the family and felt all alone. She turned to writing for peace of mind and solace but once she knew she could write, she has never looked back. Keri is the author of the “House of Wrath,” “Vigilantes,” “Juniper Unraveling,” and “Sandman Duet” series.

Most of Keri Lake’s novels have an underlying theme of vengeance in addition to love and romance. Her “Sons of Wrath” series of novels is set in gothic Detroit which means that it is dark, violent and has a lot of steamy sex scenes. It comes with a lot of supernaturals that include the Nephilim, demons, ghouls, and lycans. Lake asserts that the idea for the series just like her other novels just smacked her upside the head and she knew that she wanted to write it. Moreover, she had always been fascinated by the dark underbelly of Detroit and as she wrote she knew that she hit on paranormal gold.

“Soul Avenged” the first novel of the “Sons of Wrath” series by Keri Lake is the story of Ayden whose home in the suburbs was assaulted by a pack of Lycans. The brutal invasion is the only memory she has from her past life and since then she is driven by one thing – to kill them all. She teams up with a brood of vengeance dealing warrior demons named “The Sons of Wrath.” Together, they are going to hunt down the Lycans that make a living on the deadly feeding grounds of Detroit. One of her easiest kills should have been Kane Walker, until she discovers that the newest member of the Lycans has something she needs. Walker has clues from the past that she needs to move on and find peace since the invasion of her home all those years ago. To get access to the information, she may have to acquiesce to the sensual pleasure that he evokes in her by his touch. But she does not have time since the newly minted Lycan is rapidly becoming the thing she despises most. The only antidote that can stop his transformation may require the ultimate sacrifice. As Kane transforms into a Lycan, the threat he poses becomes ever greater. Ayden needs to choose between surrendering to her enemy or her lust for revenge and in the process, she discovers something horrible.

Keri Lake’s “Soul Resurrected” is the enthralling story of Logan that is Wrath’s fiercest son. He once spent half a century imprisoned in the underworld for a sin he would do anything to keep hidden. Decades in despicable conditions had made him detached and feared by the others. This was until Alexi had come along and resurrected his soul from the netherworld. He can now enjoy the worldly pleasures that he had missed for years. Suffering from shame, Calla is strongly attracted to Logan, ruthless as he is. He has an insatiable craving for the young woman as her touch arouses in him a passion he never thought he would ever feel again. On her part, there is nothing that makes her feel more desired than his touch and gaze. A dangerous and dark evil has just been reawakened and Calla is slowly but surely being drawn toward the eerie breeding grounds. Logan is determined to keep her safe by summoning the violence of Wrath. But Logan himself needs to be saved from a past full of corruption and deceit, and it is only Calla that can do it.

“Soul Enslaved” is the story of a man named Gavin that was sentenced to a procreative cycle that would overwhelm a sex fiend, slavery to a soul-sucking succubus, and incarceration in Obsidius. When the succubus thinks he needs to get what rightfully belongs to him, Gavin thinks that his worst nightmares are about to come true. It is the worst timing given that Sabella has developed insatiable lust. Gavin was hoping that he would not have to deal with his darkest desires being stoked by a succubus looking for revenge but he has a debt he needs to pay. He never thought he would enjoy his punishment this much. Sabella the sexy seductress may just be the best mate the swinging bachelor never had a chance to meet. But just when he thinks are getting better and better, past sins bubble to the surface and the two are plunged into a deadly game of deception and power. Their worst fears combine into one threat but Gavin vows to keep Sabelle safe and win back her freedom.

   I am interested in reading your Absolution : A Mortal Sins Novel but have been unable to find it anywhere. I would really like to read it. Do you have an extra copy of the book that I could buy? Thank you.

     Unfortunately, it appears oo be out of print and I couldn’t see anywhere to purchase it. It’s also available in Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology but that appears to be out of print too!
