Keta Diablo is a paranormal romance, historical romance, contemporary romance, and western romance author. The bestselling and award-winning author has also written in several other genres including gay fiction. She loves to say that she wrote Gay Romance in a past life though she was very successful at it. Diablo’s novels have received much recognition and have been Recommended Review and Top Pick of the Month from top review sites, won The Independent Author Network’s Best Romance Finalist, was an Authors After Dark finalist and a finalist for the Romance Writers of America award. Keta Diablo is a resident of the United States Midwest on a gorgeous plot of woodland. When she is not writing her novels, she loves to spend her time in nature, particularly in her garden. She also loves taking care of a pair of barn owns that nest in the high branches of oaks on her property. Diablo is a lifelong lover of animals and there is nothing she loves better than watching the fluffy heart shaped faces of the chicks of that belong to the owls that nest on her property. When she has the time, she also spends time volunteering at a local animal shelter.

Even though Keta Diablo did not write as a child, she has always been writing in one form or another and has been doing so for more than fifteen years. She has been a newspaper reporter for years and also worked as a paralegal, both of which require a lot of writing. As a child, she remembers an incident in which she was given a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird by her 6th grade teacher. Over the spring she read the story of Jem breaking his elbow as a thirteen-year-old and was hooked. She wanted to know all about the character and what would happen to him. It was then that she realized that she could travel anywhere she wanted by just reading a novel. She fell in love with the Deep South with its sultry heat, the characters, and the town she read about in those pages. Diablo kept reading anything she could find and often wonders what would have happened if that teacher had not given that book to her. It was at that time that she knew that she would one day write a book. While she had dreams of becoming an author, it was not until fifteen years later that she was bitten by the romance bug. Once she started writing her stories it took only a year to get her debut story published.

Keta Diablo started writing historical romance and the genre remains her favorite. Several years later, she got into gay fiction which she also enjoyed and she still goes back and forth between them while occasionally writing fantasy and paranormal romances. The first novel she ever wrote was a sensual historical story that was inspired by a real-life event that happened in her family. Not long after that, she got interested in erotic romance and published work “Dust and Moonlight” a novel that did very well. The novel started as a published short story but so many readers and reviewers were interested in the world she had built and its people that she fleshed it out into a full-length novel. Since she knew her story so well, the novel seemed to write itself and she later published it in 2009.

“Crossroads” by Keta Diablo is a thrilling story of former cop Frank who had quit the police service to go into private investigations after he lost his father figure and partner in a robbery gone bad. Now working as a private investigator, he tried to stay in contact with the family of his former partner. But every day he did that became a torture and he had eventually stopped doing it and walked away. Five years after walking away the family sought him out and he could sense that there was something amiss. They had been reluctant to tell him why they had come back into his life but he knew something was up. After scaring Rand his partner’s son into giving it all up, he learned that his sister had been taken hostage. He immediately knows who the man responsible is though he could never have expected that there was more to the story. There had been a serial killer doing the rounds and he thinks he could have been responsible for the kidnapping. He has been getting puzzling messages from another dimension which he canno0t understand cannot understand but he knows he has to act if he is to save the kidnapped child.

Keta Diablo’s “Crossroads Revisited” still follows the story of ex-cop Frank that has been having visions for several days though they are still not clear except for the fact that a serial killer is out there. This time the visions have some connection to Rand his partner’s son but he does not know how. Rand has not been performing so well in school and Frank is upset and worried, particularly when he learns that Rand has graduated from pot and is now regularly taking alcohol. Since it is a kidnapping case, the FBI gets into it and needs his help figuring out everything. But they do not want to listen to what he is telling them as they have their own theories. But when Rand goes missing, Frank goes into overdrive trying to locate him before he becomes the latest victim of a serial killer. Frank is also dealing with a blast from the past and his own life is also in danger and he has to juggle both cases. It is a great mystery that takes a toll on Rand and Frank’s relationship as they deal with dangerous situations including a murder mystery.

In Diablo’s “Crossroads Showdown,” Frank is at a point where everything seems to be finally coming together for him. His business is doing very well and he managed to mend his relationship with Rand. Things were good until the FBI comes calling and he starts having visions this time in the middle of the day while is wide awake. When he goes into meditation, he is now seeing a spirit girl and he can somewhat communicate with it. The spirit can also do things that most of the ghosts he has interacted with cannot do. He freaked out just a little and when the FBI agents come around asking about some children that had gone missing he realizes that the spirit he has been seeing is somehow connected to what he had been investigating. He is in a race against time to resolve the case of the missing children before they are confined to the fate of the spirit girl. Frank is learning about the many gifts he has though things are changing both at home and at work. This means she has to adapt the way he lives his life and his strategies at work.
