Kieran Scott, an American young adult author, is loved by numerous teenagers as well as hopeless romantics in and out of America due to her genuinely sensational and enthralling novels. Kieran’s series and novels always depict how a blossoming boy and girl mature as they discover and find the true meaning, essence and nature of love while they are still enjoying their young lives. This can be seen in her numerous works such as The Cheerleader Trilogy, The So Trilogy, Shadowlands Series, Private Series, Privilege Series, young adult fiction and non-fiction stories.
Kieran Scott was born on March 11, 1974 in New Jersey. New Jersey was the place where she was able to experience everything that a typical girl needs to learn, be knowledgeable of, know and understand. As a matter of fact, she is still living in New Jersey with her husband who was named Matt and her two-year-old son.
When Kieran was growing up, she was exposed to a lot of things which resulted to numerous passions. In fact, writing is just one of the things she is passionate about. From grade school to high school, Kieran enjoyed going to different concerts and participating in various recitals for she was in love with singing. In her high school days, she discovered that she was good and she was having so much fun in cheering and doing some somersaults. By the end of her secondary education, she explored some facets of drama and found that she was actually having a great time doing some gestures, delivering lines and putting out emotions coming straight from her heart.
Kieran Scott, The Lover of Words
However, it was with writing that she was able to relate most. Writing has been an avenue for her to expel her thoughts from her mind, to express the emotions she was feeling and to convey the messages that she desired to tell the whole world. Due to this reason, Kieran Scott entered the Rutgers University pursuing a double major in English and Journalism. After graduating college, Kieran worked for so many years as a YA editor.
With the nature of her job, she was exposed to the different aspects of producing heartfelt and eye catching young adult literary pieces and novels. She edited a lot of work, proofread various paragraphs as well as pages and did some sales work to ensure that there would be worthy fruits after the tedious labor of writing these creations. After being able to learn and be familiar with everything this career offers to writers, Kieran Scott decided to be on her own and take a serious path in the field of young adult genre as a full time writer. This is where her journey of inspiring and making people believe in young love began.
The Work that Changes Kieran’s Life
The He’s So and She’s So trilogies have been one of Kieran Scott’s most celebrated series in her entire career. The first book entitled She’s So Dead to Us was released on May 25, 2010 and after a year, its sequel entitled He’s So Not Worth It was given an immediate birth. Just in 2012, its last book with the title This Is So Not Happening was released, giving a lovely conclusion to all the problems and the issues the characters have faced throughout the series.
The trilogy talks about two high school lovers named Ally Ryan and Jake Gordon. Both of them had issues in the past and all they want to do is to forget about them and start a new life. Both of them are very much curious about what life can offer to them, what the world can throw at them in each of their steps up until they realize they are falling for each other. But then again, life can never be that easy. Odds are against them, and their attitudes clash with each other. Sooner, they started to question if their love is still worth fighting for.
In She’s So Dead To Us, the first book of this series, talks about the young girl named Ally Ryan. She has been born with all the richness and overflowing material things in life. However, everything went and turned to the opposite road when her father got into trouble and got involved in a very shameful scandal, leaving Ally and her mother no choice but leave their mansion and glamorous village called Orchard Hill.
Now that Ally Ryan is starting all over again, with her life in a low and simple state, she meets a boy who just came into town. A boy who had no idea about her and the life she left. Not only is he rich, but also the guy who possesses the different attributes of a boy next door, such as being cool, popular and totally good looking head to toe body. Would Ally Ryan be able to truly depart from the life she was running from or meeting Jake Gordon would just make everything more complicated than it has ever been?
Its sequel called He’s So Not Worth It gives some hints and answers to the questions unsolved in the previous book. This book completely revolved around the different circumstances faced by Ally Ryan. The friend who she kept and trust, but just broken all the promises made for her. The sudden turn of events that she never expected to come have just been brought to life, which include the appearance of her father and the crazy love life of her mother. Aside from these, Ally has also been excluded in some parts of Jake Gordon’s life, which just breaks her hearts into tiny million pieces. Now with all these problems and issues hunched on her back, all Ally Ryan wants to do is to be alone and be apart from the life she just cannot take anymore.
