Kimberly Rae Jordan is a well known Canadian writer, who is famous for writing Christian fiction, romance, and contemporary novels. She has written several successful book series in her career, including The Callaghans & McFaddens series, The McKinleys series, the Home to Collingsworth series, the BlackThorpe Security series, The Karlsson Boys series, and the Fostered by Love series. Kimberly’s books are widely appreciated for their rich content, sensuous romance, and mind-blowing characters. Her successful books have helped her to establish herself among the top-ranked authors. Kimberly was born to missionary parents, who used to be always away from home in relation to their missionary work. She spent the first eighteen years growing up in different Asian countries and used to visit her home country only for short durations in between.

As Kimberly followed the teachings of her parents, she hardly had any access to TV. However, she used to spend long hours reading books. This helped her in strengthening her imagination powers and creating her own stories. Eventually, Kimberly developed a great interest in the written word. As a reader, she loves to read Christian romance, romantic suspense, and inspirational romance stories very much. Kimberly is a big fan of author Dean Koontz. After graduating from high school, Kimberly returned to Canada. In the years that followed later, she got married and became the mother of four beautiful children. There have been several ups & downs in Kimberly’s life in the past few years. Also, she had to experience a few unexpected twists & turns. But, she believes that God is always with her and whatever she is going through is His plan.

Kimberly likes to describe her life as ‘Under COnstruction’ and hopes that God has made some good plans for her. Along with her writing work, she likes to take up other interesting activities like baking, cooking, reading, and spending time on Pinterest. Over the years, Kimberly has grown fond of living in central Canada’s cold environment. She believes that winter is a great time to pick up a good book for reading or developing characters for her next novel. Kimberly’s stories are mostly filled with the dynamics of family, love, and faith. She always looks to inspire the readers through the stories and simultaneously gain inspiration from them. A very popular book series written by author Kimberly Rae Jordan is known as the BlackThorpe Security series. It consists of 6 books in total published between 2015 and 2016. This series is a spin-off of another successful series by Kimberly called The McKinleys series. Some of the characters from the latter feature in this series along with several new additions. Some of the most prominent ones include Lindsay Hamilton, Than Miller, Justin Morrell, Alana Jensen, Caden, Daniel Olson, Beth, Genevieve, Melanie Thorpe, Tyler Harris, Alexander Thorpe, Rebecca Mackenzie, Adrianne Thrope, Connor Mackenzie, Marcus Black, Alicia Leighton, Eric McKinley, Staci, etc. The series revolves around the lives of people working for the BlackThorpe Security. They are seen facing the challenges of love, faith, and life. Author Kimberly has set the plots in different regions of America such as California, Florida, etc. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Guarding Her Heart’. It was released by the Three Stand Press in 2015.

The story opens by showing Lindsay Hamilton living a lonely life and seeing people around her falling in love and getting married. She wants to have a change in her life, but doesn’t any hopes for romance, love, or marriage. When Lindsay gets listed for a trip to the Philippines on a 2-week mission, she thinks of it as the change she desperately needs. Lindsay also sees it as an opportunity to witness the outside world. But, her mother is not ready to let her go alone to an unknown place. So, she agrees to take a bodyguard with her just to make her mother feel assured that she will be safe. The bodyguard is none other than Than Mille. He is known to be a ladies’ man, who loves to remain in their company and let them have good feelings. But, because of his nature, Lindsay has always kept him at a distance. The two were in love before, but now don’t see each other much. Miller is in desperate need of an opportunity to win her love back. So, when he learns that Lindsay has approached BlackThorpe Security for hiring a bodyguard, he quickly jumps at the chance. He looks forward to the trip to make Lindsay change her mind and convince her to come back into his life. At first, Lindsay keeps her heart well-guarded. But, when a disastrous situation arises, she is forced to let her guard down and allow Miller to come to her rescue. This novel depicts a heartwarming story of Christian romance and focuses on faith, love, and family.

The next installment of the series is called ‘Signs of Love’. It was also released by the same publishing company in 2015. The book begins by showing that Justin Morrell holds two things very close to his heart, his younger sister Beth and his employment at BlackThorpe Security. He is a former military personnel and had to leave that job due to a family tragedy. Now, he has joined BlackThorpe Security and looks after his sister and niece. When he comes to know about bad news regarding Genevieve, he sets himself to do whatever it takes to get rid of the problem. Justin learns about the arrival of a woman named Alana Jensen in Beth’s life. She claims to have come to Beth’s help, but he doesn’t believe her. As much as Alana is determined to assist Beth in the treatment of Genevieve’s hearing loss, she is not comfortable in letting people know about her abusive past. But, Justin sees her as a threat to Beth and her family. While trying to get rid of Alana, he comes close to her. Justin realizes afterward that he has developed feelings for her. However, he is required to make Alana change her decision of not letting another man knock at the doors of her heart. And he is determined to provide the support that Alana has always wanted from a partner. This novel also depicts the values of love, life, family, and trust.
