Early and Personal Life

Born in 1959 Kristen Heitzmann grew up with a keen passion for both reading and writing from an early age, nurturing it through the years. Growing up in an academic family, she was raised surrounded by all manner of art and culture, as they would love books and music of all kinds. This would shape her over the years, feeding her imagination, allowing her to become the writer that she currently is today. Over time she would take to reading voraciously too, creating her own set of characters along the way, which would, in time, go back into her own work. Immersing herself in literature, she would invest herself heavily in her craft, creating the voice that many people would come to know and love her for.

Constantly on the lookout for new and exciting ideas, Heitzmann also likes to take hikes in the mountains of Colorado in order to help clear her head. It is here in the Colorado Rockies that she typically finds her next source of inspiration for her next great bestseller to hit the market. Currently living in Colorado to this very day, she continues to put out work at a regular and ever consistent pace, something she will continue to do for a long time yet.

Writing Career

Marking her grand debut onto the literary scene with the title ‘Honor’s Pledge’, Kristen Heitzmann would begin her writing career by starting the ‘Rocky Mountain’s Legacy’. Set in a location that was close to her heart, she would begin by writing a romance novel set firmly within the inspirational mold. Providing a strong and positive message, it would center itself around themes and ideas that would continue to reoccur throughout her career. Using the template of the classic romance, she would develop it throughout the following years, providing a number of other series and stand-alone titles too. These would include the ‘Diamond of the Rockies’ titles, the ‘Spencer Family’ stories, the ‘Michelli Family’ novels and the ‘Told You’ series.

In time all of this would allow her to gradually build upon her profile, becoming the bestselling author that she currently is today. Winning numerous awards and nominations, she would becoming a leading figure in the industry as a whole, speaking about her craft on a variety of different occasions. Her books continue to stand the test of time too, with their messages living on, as her novels carry on getting discovered from readers far and wide, with her career growing from strength-to-strength.

Honor’s Reward

Initially published through the ‘Bethany House Publishers’ label, this was the fifth and final story to come out in the ‘Rocky Mountain Legacy’ series of novels. Wrapping the entire franchise up, it manages to bring all of the characters together, allowing them to finalize all the loose ends of the overall series. Working as a historical romance too, it is ideal for any fans of Heitzmann, as well as advocates of the genre, as it also sets a milestone as her first series completed.

Dealing with themes of love and loss, this takes a look at what it takes to put the past in the past to make a new life and start again. Finalising all the elements of the series, this takes the relationship of Abbie and Cole, as they have to move on with her son and adopted niece that they will raise together. Taking place on the western frontier, its a historical romance which uses the era as its backdrop and canvas to the story itself.

With the love growing day-by-day between Abbie and her second husband Cole, this sees her attempting to move on from her mourning as a widow. Trying to move on from her past and make a new life for herself, she is still attempting to get over the brutal death of her first husband. Set on the classic western frontier of yesteryear, this is the final chapter, as the relationship between the two of them is finally sealed. Will they overcome their pasts and start afresh? Can Cole Jasper create a new life for them both? How will they fare and will they receive honor’s reward?

Indelible

First published through the ‘Waterbrook Press’ publishing label, this was originally brought out in 2011 on the 3rd of May. Operating purely as a stand-alone title, this is not a part of any series as such, working purely on its own merits with its own story. It is a must for any fans of the author as well, as it was released later on in her writing career, showing how far she had come and how her style had developed overall.

Taking place in Colorado, this sees Trevor MacDaniel, a search-and-rescue volunteer, as he saves a young boy from a mountain lion. Meeting the boy’s aunt, Natalie Reeve, she’s a sculptor with a rather unusual gift of her own, along with her own troubled past. Overcoming differences, they must deal with the obstacles ahead of them, whilst dealing with their own turbulent histories. How are they endangered though? Can they overcome their troubled histories and begin a relationship together? Just how are they indelible?

   I have read many of your books and enjoyed each one. I just finished “Told you Twice” and was wondering if The novella that was mentioned at the end of the book, “Twice Take Two” has been published and if so, where could I buy a copy?
