Kristi Belcamino is a multiple award-nominated American author and a USA bestselling writer of mystery, suspense, thriller, and crime fiction novels. She has written several widely popular book series, including the Gabriella Giovanni Mystery series, the Tommy St James Mysteries, and the Gia Santella book series. Her books have helped her receive nominations for prestigious awards like Barry, Agatha, Macavity, and Anthony Award. Belcamino’s stories typically feature fierce, independent, and strong female characters, who fight unspeakable evils in their attempt to seek justice for the ones unable to seek themselves. Prior to becoming a writer of crime fiction novels, she used to work as a crime reporter for different newspaper agencies in California. Belcamino has created the character of Gabriella Giovanni based on her own life and profession of crime reporting. All her main characters are described as smart, dedicated, plucky, strong, and fierce. Belcamino was inspired to write her first book from the case she worked on as a reporter that involved a serial killer. In the savvy debut book, she has made use of her background in the newsroom to a great effect. Every page of her book is filled with deft detail and insider know-how, a technique she employed each of her future books and gained enormous success.
The Gia Santella series written by author Kristi Belcamino is comprised of a total of 7 novels and 1 novella released between 2017 and 2018. Each book of this series features the chief protagonist in the role of Gia Santella. She is described as a hard-drinking, fast-driving free spirit trained in karate. Gia tried to leave her past life behind and find a new life for herself in San Francisco. Gia hails from a small town called Monterey and flees to achieve her dreams in a big city following the death of her parents. Some exciting characters mentioned in the books of this series other than Gia Valentina Santella include Sasha Kennedy, Sydney Rye, and several others. Belcamino has set the plots in San Francisco, Sicily, Baja, and Mexico. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Gia in the City of the Dead’. It was released in 2017 in the Kindle format. The book opens by mentioning that Gia Santella ran away from her hometown Monterey after the sudden death of both her parents around 4 years ago. She moved to the big city with hopes of pursuing a high life for herself.
In order to overcome her grief, Gia took shelter in a luxurious apartment in a high-rise building with the Golden Gate Bridge view. As she inherited a huge amount of wealth from her parents’ death, she started using it for her amusements in an attempt to get past the emptiness in her life. She joined an art school and raced her Ferrari up & down the San Francisco coast, visiting the finest establishments of the city for getting hammered. Then suddenly, everything changed for Gia after she received a letter in her mailbox. The letter stated that her parents didn’t die in an accident, but were murdered by someone. As much as the letter shocks Gia, it makes her determined to find the killer and avenge her parents’ deaths. Shortly after, Gia realizes that the killer is watching her moves, making it clear that he wants to kill her too. Gia tries everything to stay a step ahead of the killer and at the same time, make him fall in her trap. This book is labeled as a perfect read for the fans of Patricia Cornwell, Gregg Hurwitz, and Lisa Gardner.
The second installment of this series is known as ‘Gia and the FOrgotten Island’. It was also published in 2017. It features Gia Santella and Sasha Kennedy in the main roles. This book continues to show Gia Santella as a fast-driving, karate-trained, and hard-drinking girl living in San Francisco. She is a young, sexy, gorgeous heiress. Gia has zero tolerance and fierce temper against people who have power and prey on vulnerable people. Also, Gia cannot take injustice taking place in the neighborhood. On one night in Autumn, a clash takes place in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco between a group of protestors and a hate-group that results in the breakout of violence. Gia arrives at the protest to find the granddaughter of her friend, Sasha Kennedy. Sasha is a student at UC Berkeley and holds the post of a student journalist. She intended to cover the protest and print it in her school newspaper. Gia is not able to find Sasha anywhere. The other people who saw Sasha at the protest tell Gia that she has mysteriously disappeared.
While investigating Sasha’s disappearance, Gia Santella learns that she was about to uncover a shocking story that has involvement from some powerful people. And as she continues to look for Sasha, she learns about several other mysterious disappearances in the past. Gia’s efforts let her unravel some dark secrets about the neighborhood that threaten to cause its destruction. Her plan to catch the culprit backfires and puts her in great danger. Shortly after, Gia gets a terrifying message and her course of action puts her in a deadly race against the clock to find and rescue Sasha Kennedy before she ends up dying. Gia knows that is her plan fails again, many other people will lose their lives. So, she cannot afford to make even the smallest of mistakes. Once again, the critics reviewed Belcamino’s book as a gritty and dark thriller with intriguing suspense.
Where can I get a copy of Tomb of the Queen (Jo Bennett Archeological Mystery #2)? I have searched Amazon and the internet in general and cannot find an actual copy anywhere. None of the links that are supposed to go to the book work, they either crash out or go to a different book. I would really like to read this book.
They are all GREAT! But wait until you have read them all and it seems like forever until the next one is ready (it is not really). There are more soon and I am waiting patiently. I wish she could write them as fast as I can read them. lol
My god I have read some darn good books by many authers from Stephen King to James Patterson but nobody can compare to Krist Belcamino she writes the most exciting books I can not put them down I love a woman who can kick some butt. I can not say enough about this womans talent just hope she keeps on writting .

Where can I get a copy of Tomb of the Queen (Jo Bennett Archeological Mystery #2)? I have searched Amazon and the internet in general and cannot find an actual copy anywhere. None of the links that are supposed to go to the book work, they either crash out or go to a different book. I would really like to read this book.
Unfortunately, I do not know. I know the book existed but it’s possible it was only in ebook format. I can’t find any details on it, unfortunately.
