About Kristine Raymond

Largely writing historical fiction, the romance novelist and American author Kristine Raymond is world renowned for her work. With a keen eye for drama and the underlying forces that drive people, she really gets to the core of her subject matter in what she is trying to say. This has enabled her to create stories that really resonate with readers from all across the globe on an almost universal level. Giving her stories a grounding in reality, she definitely manages to make them highly accessible in the process too, allowing readers from all backgrounds to enjoy her work. This has given her a unique platform, as she writes with both a high degree of accuracy and with a lot of heart and emotion too.

Early and Personal Life

Born in America Kristine Raymond would grow up with a strong passion for reading, but it wasn’t until she’d gotten older that she realized what she wanted to do. Finding her way to writing as a way of living, she would quickly take to it realizing her talent and keen passion for the craft as a whole. Discovering her voice as a novelist too, she would learn more about who she was as an author, a process which she still continues to this very day. Promoting herself too, she would naturally take to the art-form, find her love of words guiding her through, as she would also speak regularly about it too. Focusing on historical novels, she would also write non-fictional stories too, as she continues to write living with her husband and family, which she wont be stopping any time soon.

Writing Career

It was back in 2013 that Kristine Raymond would come to pen her first book, this being titled ‘Here to Stay’, being the first in a series of its very own. This series would come to be known as ‘Hidden Springs’, which is a historical series of romance titles, set in Arizona mostly during the 1860s, and they would be loosely connected through the characters. Making each title self-contained though, they could be read as stand-alone novels if the reader felt that way inclined, which Raymond would also do with her other series ‘Celebration’. This would be a series that would focus on the small town of ‘Celebration’ located off the beaten track in middle America, with each title being a stand-alone romance in the town. Gaining a large amount of acclaim over the years, the writing career of Kristine Raymond goes from strength-to-strength, and will carry on doing so for a long time yet.

A Will of Her Own

Originally published in 2014, this would first come out on the 19th of February, this being the fifth book in the ‘Hidden Springs’ series of books. Continuing on from the previous title with another self-contained story set in the same world, it’s a historical romance novel set in Arizona. Paying close attention to detail, Kristine Raymond is clearly adept here in her development of the world and the characters.

As a historical romance novel, this really manages to deliver on its premise, essentially giving the audience what they want. It also has a large amount of fairly graphic content, with some material dealing with sex and violence, so it isn’t a story to shy away from the more difficult aspects of life. What it does do though, is paint a highly vivid and evocative portrait of the time that it’s set within as well.

Swearing off love and romance completely, Carly Fitzpatrick aims never to fall in love again following losing the love of her life in a tragic accident. Looking after her kids all by herself it appears that she doesn’t need anyone, that is until Will Buchanon turns up in town, as he’s looking for a criminal on the loose acting as an impostor. Hoping to bring him to justice, Will is focused on the task in hand, and he has no intention of falling in love, that is until her meets Carly for the first time. With a will of her own though, Carly attempts to resist her urges, leading to him saving her both figuratively and literally, and, in the process, proving himself worthy of her love. Will they both manage to finally become an item? Can they both overcome the troubles of the past? What happens when he finds that she has a will of her own?

Under the Mistletoe

Arriving in 2017 on the 3rd of November, this would mark the third title in the series of ‘Celebration’ novels. Set in the small town of Celebration, they typically follow the theme of romance, all based around specific national holidays, such as Christmas. This makes for a fun and inventive series that many have warmed to over the years, gaining a huge following of fans worldwide.

Not wanting anything in the way of a relationship, Frankie Denton is perfectly happy with his life successfully running an auto repair shop. That’s when he has a one night stand at the wedding of a friend, only to be told that the woman, Roxy Malone, is now pregnant with his child. Deciding that he wants to do what he feels to be the right thing, he proposes to her and is instantly rejected, leading to him attempting to prove himself to her, both as a father and as a husband. Roxy wants to raise the baby on her own, but it appears that Frankie is more than persistent, as he wants to take an active role in the child’s life. Will they come together as a family? Can they overcome the difficulties of their past? Who will they find under the mistletoe?
