Kylie Logan is one of the pseudonyms used by the noteworthy American author named Constance Laux. She particularly uses this pen name for writing her novels based on the mystery and thriller genres. In addition to this pseudonym, author Logan uses a few other pseudonyms as well for writing novels based on a variety of genres. Some of the most popular ones include, Casey Daniels, Miranda Bliss, Connie Lane, Connie Deka, etc. The reason behind the use of multiple pen names for writing different genres of novels as given by author Logan is that if you write your novels as only a single person, then you cannot have varieties in your writings and after a certain period of time you become absolutely boring. Author Logan follows the great mystery writer named Elizabeth Peters in this aspect, as she too used to write her novels under several pseudonyms. The ideas that Logan gets by being an altogether different person, takes her to different time zones and as a result, she has been successful in writing a total of 3 mystery series to date by using the pseudonym. Author Logan describes herself a full time writer, who is very much fond of the mystery books since her childhood days. She was first introduced to the mysteries of the Sherlock Holmes series by her father, who used to work as a police officer in Cleveland.

Author Logan also received her first experience in investigating by following her father to different parts of the city in search of the stolen cars. After his retirement, he joined the Cleveland Public Library as its security head and began helping Logan in writing her mystery novels. Before attempting to write her debut mystery novel, author Logan completed her graduate degree in the subject of English Literature. Later, she began working as a journalist and as a writing teacher, before going on to become a full time writer. Author Logan often laughs by saying that she has a number of ideas about the interesting ways in which people can be killed. She has used many of these ideas in her successful novels, while describing the murderous plots of her mystery series. These ideas have also allowed her to attend a number of cocktail parties, organized by her hardcore fans. Author Kylie Logan began her writing career with the publication of her debut novel based on the historical romance genre.

The novel was titled as ‘Devil’s Diamond’ and was nominated for the RITA Award by the RWA. This was followed by a number of other successful historical romance novels over the years. In addition to that, author Logan has also written several novels based on the contemporary romance, children’s books, young adult, and horror genres. Whenever author Logan gets some free time from her busy schedules of developing the plots of her novels, she likes to spend them in creative activities like knitting, weaving, and visiting old cemeteries all over the nation. She even enjoys her beekeeping job. Author spends most of her free time along with her family and her two pet dogs named Oscar and Ernie. Logan says that if she takes up a book for reading, she cannot keep it aside before finishing the whole story even if she had previously read it. She is also very fond of chili dishes and thinks herself as lucky to have found a husband who has the ability of cooking great chili recipes.

One of the successful novel series written by author Kylie Logan is titled as ‘League of Literary Ladies’. This series consists of a total of 4 books published between the years 2013 and 2016. The first novel of the series was published under the title ‘Mayhem at the Orient Express’. It was released by the Berkeley publishing house in the year 2013. The plot of this novel is set in South Bass Island, Ohio, The United States, and revolves around the happenings of the main characters named Bea Cartwright, Chandra Morrisey, and Kate Wilder. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, it is shown that the owner of a local Chinese restaurant gets taken out. It is also shown initially that most people do not get forced by the court order for attending a discussion group of library books. But this is what exactly happens to the main female characters of the novel named Chandra Morrisey, Kate Wilder, and Bea Cartwright. Bea is introduced as an ex-Manhattanite and the owner of the B and B company.

Chandra is a hippy lover of cats, while Kate Wilder is shown as the owner of a wine shop. A magistrate of the small town gets fed up by their constant squabbling and orders them to attend the discussion group. When the three women arrive at the idyllic summer resort of South Bass on the Lake Erie island, they keep disturbing the peace of the resort by their squabbling. The first books chosen by them to discuss is one of the famous novels of Agatha Christie. A new Chinese restaurant named Orient Express on the island makes one of the favorite dishes of the ladies, the orange chicken. However, their tasty meal gets spoiled because of the murder of the owner of the restaurant named Peter Chan. With the sudden turn of events, the three ladies get involved in solving a real mystery, just like the ideal characters in the mystery novels of Agatha Christie. They are required to forget the differences between themselves and try and catch the brutal murderer, before he takes the life of another victim.

The second novel of the series was published under the title ‘A Tale of Two Biddies’. It was released by the Berkeley publishing house in the year 2014. The plot of this novel continues to depict the main characters in the form of Bea Cartwright, Kate Wilder, and Chandra Morrisey. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, it is shown that the summer times were going to be the better as well as the bad ones for the ladies in the resort town of the Lake Erie island. The business of Bea Cartwright blooms as a number of guests come to her hotel on account of the Bastille Day Celebration. In order to honor the holiday occasion, the three women decide to read one of the classic novels of Charles Dickens. They face difficulties in making a more appropriate selection because of the twin Defarge sisters named Alice and Margaret, who run a knitting shop. A rock band named Guillotine shows to entertain the guests on the holiday. However, the celebrations are disturbed because of a murder and the League of Literary Ladies seem to suspect the Defarge sisters because of some uneasiness in them. They also come across several secrets that lead them in a murder case. In the end, the ladies seem to have a real mystery solving job, but they need act smart against the reign of terror of a deadly killer. Or else, they might themselves end up being the next victims of the killer.
