L.J. Shen is a USA Today and international bestselling American writer of romance, new adult, chick-lit, young adult, and contemporary stories. She has written a few widely popular novel series in her career. They include the Sinners of Saint series, All Saints High series, Boston Belles series, Hollywood Chronicles series, and California Love series. Shen has also penned several single novels. Additionally, she has contributed to a few omnibus and short story collections by teaming up with other authors such as Adriana Locke, Kate Stewart, Ella Fox, Emma Scott, Sara Ney, Charleigh Rose, Meghan Quinn, Kennedy Ryan, Sawyer Bennett, Julia Kent, Carrie Ann Ryan, Sarina Bowen, Kendall Ryan, Corrine Michaels, etc. Shen’s books have been sold in more than 20 countries in the world. Currently, she resides in California along with her beloved husband, a son, and a cat.
When Shen is not writing, she can be found reading her favorite books or watching TV on Netflix and HBO with a glass of wine or even catching the rays of the sun with her cat. Author Shen was born and brought up in San Francisco, California. Before settling down, she traveled to different locations across the globe and made numerous friends. Those who know her well jokingly say that she is not a good companion, forgets birthdays of people very often, and never sends cards to her friends on Christmas. Shen likes to describe herself as the kind of person who cherishes life’s simple things, such as enjoying the company of her family and relaxing with them in her free time. She has the habit of reading 3 to 5 books every week, which has greatly helped in shaping her writing career. Shen considers her son to be the most important thing in life. She cannot let him out of sight even for one moment.
One thing that is always by her side while writing is a cup of coffee. Shen started her career by visiting Starbucks coffee shops and working on her stories whenever she used to find time from her daily routine. Now, as she has begun writing from home, she likes to keep coffee and water on her desk all the time while writing. The authors who have influenced Shen the most include Zadie Smith, Bret Easton, John Fante, Jandy Nelson, Willam S. Burroughs, Jonathan Franzen Woody Allen, Charles Bukowski, Stephen King, etc. The first book that made Shen cry was a novella from Israeli author Etgar Keret known as Breaking the Pig. After that, she has come across many books that have touched her heart and at the same time amused her.
Shen claims that her writing process is constantly evolving. She treats each of her new books like a child in her womb. She is able to finish some books within a couple of weeks, whereas some take months to finish. She considers herself fortunate to have found some good betas, who come in handy whenever she needs them. Her writing hours keep changing depending on the situation at hand. But, she always tries to take out time from her busy schedule and write something. Shen says that writing about the opposite gender does not bother her much because she grew up surrounded by strong men. She thinks she is aware of how the minds of men work, so it makes her comfortable to write about them in her books.
Shen takes inspiration for her books mostly from TV shows, movies, music, and real-life experiences. Random conversations also inspire her sometimes and help her in coming up with interesting stories. Author Shen is satisfied with the way her career fared so far. She is hopeful of becoming more successful in the future. As of now, she is at work on her latest novel and is looking forward to creating many more interesting books in the coming years. Rosie sees Dean as forbidden, shiny fruit, and a striking fallacy to her raw, blunt truth. What makes her relationship with Dean more complex is that he is the former boyfriend of her sister. But, she was the one who saw Dean first, developed a crush on him first, loved him first, and craved to have him first. Eleven years later, Dean enters her life again and demands a second chance. She knows that she cannot cherish the love of Dean, but she satisfied to know that he realized her love for him before she closed her eyes forever.

Ruthless Rivials was very good. I don’t know how someone could hide a secret like Christian did. He secretly loved her as she did him. How sad for both of them. Great story love lots of your books. Keep them coming.
