Lacy Williams is an accomplished American author with several series and many novels published. She also uses the pen name Lacy Yager.

Lacy is a novelist that likes to write romantic stories written for women just like herself that have tons going on in their lives with their jobs, family obligations, and other activities. She’s a prolific writer and passed her fiftieth novel writing mark years ago.

She would love for readers to resonate with her stories, which is always Lacy’s goal. She says that readers will frequently see characters that go through some things that she herself has gone through and overcoming them, or dealing with situations and issues that tend to be happening to those she is close to. Williams also is sure to include themes of not feeling worthy enough, wanting your family to have the best, redemption, using love’s power to overcome, and more.

Lacy says that she is the type of reader that will take a book that she has and will open it on up and flip to the last page so that she can read the conclusion first. She wants to find out the spoilers and she wants to figure out what the book is all about. When she starts one of her own stories, she often finds that the end is already penned in her own head. She says that when it comes to the stories that she writes, readers can rely on finding a happily ever after conclusion for the characters, even if the situations that they are in seem like they can’t possibly lead to one.

Williams says that as far as she can remember, she always had the drive to be a writer. When she was younger she would go to the library and check out books in the children’s section, to the point where she had read them all. That was when she asked her mom to get her a library card for adults. Her parents also helped support her drive to be an author by getting her a typewriter as a Christmas present.

Going forward in time, Lacy took a correspondence class held by the Institute of Children’s Literature, and it was there that she got to learn more about editing. Later, her mother advised her to avoid getting a degree in English when the author attended college, and Lacy eventually got a degree in accounting like her father. However, the whole time, she couldn’t put the stories running through her mind to the side.

While the author did not have time to write much in college, she found that nevertheless there were plenty of characters bouncing around in her head that would not leave her alone. She’s married now and her husband doesn’t get it but is supportive! When she had graduated but had not yet had children, Lacy knew that she had to approach getting published seriously. She found a chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers and kept going with it. She recommends that other aspiring authors find a writing group out there in their genre and try it out.

Lacy’s editor called her in 2010 and let her know that a publishing company, Harlequin, wanted to buy her book. Marrying Miss Marshal came out in August of 2011. Then there was a demand for more books, so the author ended up writing Harlequin an additional ten books. While she was doing that, she also published a few indie novellas as well as a series for young adults under the pseudonym Lacy Yager.

The author has four children with her husband and enjoys spending time with them while working in and outside of the home. She is now publishing indie exclusively and encourages readers to get in touch with her!
