Lani Lynn Vale is a well known novelist and a USA Today bestselling author of Romantic Suspense and Contemporary novels. She is particularly known for writing her novels in the suspense, fiction, and contemporary genres. Lani was born in Longview, United States and had the dream of becoming a successful author of romance novels right from her childhood days. During her growing years, she used to read a number of romance novels. Her hobby helped her to fall in love with the characters and this allowed her to think about her own favorite characters based on romantic plots. Lani says that she loves all those things which are related to romance. This attitude has helped her to write down a number of excellent novels and eventually become a well established novelist. During her high school days, she fell in love with one of her classmates and went on to become his life partner. In her of her interviews, Lani has said that she fell in love with her husband instantly after seeing him in baseball pants. Ten years have passed since her marriage and she is blessed with three crazy and beautiful children.
Lani lives along with her family and her favorite cat named Demon who tends to wake her up in at unwanted times in the night. She says that she is blessed to have such a wonderful family and a lovely house in one of the greatest states in America and the whole world, Texas. Lani likes to keep herself busy with writing her fictional and contemporary novels. She hardly gets any time for other activities as she stays in front of her computer all time, thinking about her fictional characters and plot. Many a times her husband and children request her to leave her work and spend some joyful time with them. After a number of requests, she joins them just for food and drink and gets busy with her writings again. Till today, Lani has written and published three successful novel series’, all of which have been extremely popular all over the world. The success from her contemporary and romance novel series’ has helped her to remain encouraged and motivated for writing more and more interesting and successful novels. The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC and Code 11-KPD Swat are the initial series’ that she wrote in her writing career, along with the Freebirds series. All the series’ contain around 6 to 8 books and all of them are very much appreciated for their unique plots and intriguing character sketches. Lani is still working on the latest novels of all the three fiction series’ simultaneously and is about to publish a few interesting novels very soon.
The Freebirds series written by author Lani Lynn Vale consists of a total of 6 novels published between the years 2013 and 2014. The first novel of the series was published by the Amazon Digital Services in the year 2013 in the form of a Kindle edition. It was titled ‘Boomtown’ and featured the main characters in the form of Cheyenne and Sam. Cheyenne is introduced as a smart, little weird, sweet, and a very spunky girl. She goes to a school of nursing and wants to become a nurse, as well as works part time for her livelihood. Cheyenne has a brother who is in the Army and a sister-in-law, who has left them. Having no one else in her life, she is required to take care of her niece. Due to her busy life, Cheyenne is required to spend most of her time in school and at work. Whatever time is left with her, she spends it in trying to look after her family. This way, she hardly gets any time for herself. During the opening sequence of the novel, she is seen drinking beer in a bar all alone on the occasion of her birthday. There, she meets with Sam for the first time.
Sam is described by the author as a former Army Ranger. He runs a shop where he and his army friends, build and repair cars and motorcycles. The group also runs a side business involving secret missions. Under their secret mission they seem to rescue women and move them to safe places away from troubles. When Sam meets Cheyenne at the bar, he believes that she is made only for him. The two get together quite comfortably, but then something happens and they decide to separate from each other. He gives her his number and asks her to call him. Thinking that he is not serious about the relationship, Cheyenne does not feel the need to call him. However, he comes to her help when she encounters a danger. Sam and his team save Cheyenne and her niece. The two again get back together, but keep fighting on petty issues. The story ends in an interesting manner as Sam and Cheyenne come together as a great couple. The secret missions of Sam and his group has ties with Cheyenne’s brother, who is also related to them secretly.
The second novel of the series was published in the year 2013 as a Kindle edition. It was titled ‘Highway Don’t Care’ and described the romantic lives of the central characters Ember and Gabe. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Ember is described as an athletic trainer. She has a brother named Mac. They lost their parents at a very young age and therefore, Ember had to take up the responsibilities for both of them very soon. The character, Cheyenne from the first novel of the series is described as her friend. Initially, Ember hoped of becoming a Volleyball player, but an injury during high school forced her to become an athletic trainer. She loves being a trainer and enjoys it very much. Gabe and Ember know each other from one year and Ember likes him since then. However, Gabe does not give any hint whether he wants her to be his life partner or not. Gabe is described by author Lani Lynn Vale as an unfortunate boy, who is always abused by his stepfather. After the death of his father, her mother was forced to marry his stepfather as she did not have any other choice.
Being always taunted by him as a useless person, Gabe tries to do everything in his capacity to prove him wrong. He graduates high school at the age of 16 with honors and joins the Army. Even though, he begins to like Ember, Gabe still pushes her away because of his difficult life. But, when she is attacked at her work, he is forced to come to her rescue and show his love for her. The characters of Gabe and Ember are very well described by the author. She has done a tremendous job with the plot of the novel. This helped it to be liked by many readers all over the world and motivated Lani to write more novels in the series. The unique story of the novel was also liked by the critics as well as the fellow authors, who praised her for her dedicated efforts and encouraged her to have a prosperous writing career. The success of the initial novels of the series also allowed her to write other contemporary series as well, which also became highly successful and helped author Lani Lynn to become one of the prominent authors of contemporary and romance novels.
