Diaz is an award-winning author who specializes in romantic suspense. Lena’s books have been translated in a wide variety of languages, including Norwegian, Turkish, and German. They have been sold in many countries, including Sweden, Holland, Australia, France, India, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the USA. Born in Kentucky, Diaz now resides in Florida with her husband and two children. Prior to becoming an author, Diaz’s profession was as a computer programmer. She was a finalist for Romance Writers of America Golden Heart. She also won the prestigious Daphne du Maurier Award. This award is for excellence in suspense and mystery.

Diaz grew up in a navy family, but chose not to pursue this lifestyle. Her siblings, however, joined the navy. Lena’s mother was a creative musician and Lena took to her footsteps by becoming a creative writer.

She completed her first short story when she was in middle school. The tale, which was about 50 pages long, was about a racehorse with a wide fan base. The fan base consisted of her entire 8th grade class. Lena likes to think that the class read the story because it was good. However, she admits that they probably read it because it was the shortest option in the reading list.

Her first fiction novel attempts ranged from medieval druids to contemporary vampire tales. Since whatever she wrote seemed to involve dead bodies, her writing evolved into romantic suspense. Since being part of a navy family meant moving a lot, Lena went on to study in 10 different schools. She also lived in four states, which are Kentucky, Louisiana, California, and Florida. However, her father always took them back to their original state, Kentucky, every summer in order to visit their extended family for a few weeks.

Her fondest childhood memories were when she was at her aunt’s farm. There, she spent time feeding young cows from the bottle. She also ran from Billy goats by the catfish ponds, and dressed piglets in doll’s cloths. Today, Lena lives in Saint Augustine, Florida.

According to Lena herself, she actually went to 11 different schools if college is to be counted. She is also an introvert, however, most people who meet her do not know that. She hated English class and her favorite subject in school was art. She also aced her AP exam in English and is a National Merit semi-finalist. She should have graduated third in her high school class but only graduates fifth because the school didn’t consider the advanced courses she took in another state. Lena also said that the first novel she remembered reading was Sweet Savage Love and The Flame and the Flower. She, however, hated the Nancy Drew series but loved the Hardy Boys series. When she was in grade school, her favorite author was Walter Farley. She also admits that she is afraid of “everything” even though she writes romantic suspense novels. Aside from these, she loves crime shows, such as NCIS and Criminal Minds. However, she can’t watch shows about read crime or read crime novels because they scare her. Lena also stated that her favorite kind of criminals to write about are serial killers, even though in reality, they scare her. She hates horror movies and horror books. Her favorite romance novels are paranormals and historicals. She also revealed that her current husband is her first boyfriend. Most of her life, she lived twenty minutes away from the beach. Fictionally, her favorite man is an alpha hero, but in reality, she likes beta heroes. She also has watched every episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Lena Diaz wrote He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not, which is a romantic suspense novel centered around Amanda Stockton. Stockton has a dreadful past. She bears the scars from her ordeal with that past. She also has a terrible secret and bears its burden as well. However, another woman dies holding a long-stemmed red rose. Amanda then decides that she can no longer hide. The novel also involves Chief Logan Richards. Richards, if he had any choice, would not ask Amanda, the only surviving victim, for any help. However, he had no choice and does exactly that. It is clear that the killer cannot be stopped and that Amanda is the only way to find out who he is. Richard then becomes torn between finding the killer and winning Amanda’s trust. He has come to love Amanda. Both of them become caught in a dangerous game. However, there is no guarantee that either of them will come out on top. The book by Diaz is compelling to read and it is worthy of attention. It is full of suspense and the budding love between Richards and Amanda. It is an excellent read for those wanting romantic suspense.

Another novel by Lena Diaz is No Exit. The book revolves around Exit Inc., with two adversaries becoming unlikely allies. They also discover that only through love that they can save each other. Jace Atwell is an agent of the Equalizers. He has to risk everything to destroy Exit Inc. Exit Inc. is a corrupt terrorist group that endangers the lives of innocent people. The only way for Jace to infiltrate Exit Inc. is to become involved with the CEO’s daughter, Melissa. Melissa and Jace get a little too close, and Jace finds himself falling in love. Melissa, however, refuses to believe that her father is involved with terrorist activities and seeks to prove it. So when Jace comes clean about his intentions, she reveals that she too had been investigating and is also determined to find the truth. There is an undeniable chemistry between Jace and Melissa. However, their opposing views of justice makes it hard to have teamwork. With their lives on the line, the only recourse that they can take is to trust each other in order to save their own lives. The novel by Lena Diaz is an excellent example of one of her romantic suspense novels. Truly, Diaz is a master creator of romantic suspense novels that deserves to be known.
