Lesley Jones is a bestselling contemporary romance novelist from Australia even though she was born and brought up in Essex England.

She first got started writing when she penned a few chapters of her debut work which she then sent to her friends. Her friends loved the story and asked where they could get the rest since she had lied that it was a book written by another friend of hers.

With the confidence she got from that, she went on to publish “Savior” in 2013, which would be the start of the very popular “Savior” series. Lesley Jones now has more than a dozen works to her name spread over several series and collections.
Over the years, Jones has made a reputation for writing stories with down-to-earth, gritty characters in emotional and angsty plot lines. Her work has also won several awards and accolades including nominations for a number of prestigious honors.

Jones has been praised for her exceptional ability to switch from laugh out loud to bubble and snot crying to steamy and hot moments in a few sentences.

While she loved living in England where she spent much of her early life, Lesley Jones moved to Melbourne in Australia in 2006.

Even though Jones now makes her home in Australia, she remains an Essex girl at heart which means she is partial to waxing, sculpting, tinting, and shellac routines.

In addition to writing, she is a prolific and avid reader who can get through five books in just one week of reading. She also finds a lot of enjoyment in a game of soccer with a glass of wine in hand.

Jones is also a huge lover of social media and when she has the time, she can usually be found engaging with her fans on her social media profiles. She is also huge on reality TV shows and particularly loves watching “TOWIE.”

“The Story of Us” by Lesley Jones is the story of Gia or George, who was 11 when she met Sean the love of her life. He became instantly smitten when he spotted her hanging upside down on the jungle gym with her pink knickers showing.
When they were older, they started dating and fall in love. Sean is a player in the Georgia band who has hit the big time which has recently been complicating things. Alcohol and drugs result in bad choices that soon result in heartbreak for Gia.

She does not know if she will ever recover and he has no idea how he is going to get her back. Soon enough, she starts to date again and makes a success of herself.

But just when her life was seemingly getting back on the right track, she meets someone that is very much interested in helping her piece everything together.

Cam makes sense every time but Sean will always be her soul mate. As such, she finds herself in big trouble when Sean comes back into her life and the years of hurt she had bottled up come back to the surface.
Cam is not going to let go so easily even though Sean is just as persistent.

Lesley Jones’s novel “The Story of Me,” asks what do you do and how do you go on when your entire life and world including dreams and hopes for the future are ripped out from under you?

Georgia Rae Layton McCarthy knows that there is no more painful death than death without dying. She finds herself all alone and spends her lonely nights and days trying to make sense of what her life has become.
Does she have the strength to struggle on into the light or should she just let the darkness engulf her? She is reeling from loss and drowning in guilt after her heart was broken.

Still she needs to find herself even if this is the most frightening and challenging thing she ever had to do.

It is an emotionally charged work very different from the first novel as Georgia struggles to live in the present and cope with the past, while coming to terms with the fact that she has a very bleak future.
After getting her heart broken, it may require a lot of soul searching and support from family and friends so that she can have hope in the future.

Thankfully, she has the best family who supports her so that she can finally accept what happened and move on with her life.

“Marley” by Lesley Jones s a beautiful follow-up to the first two novels of the series. This is a retelling of the Carnage story from the point of view of Marley Layton and gives perspective while plugging in the missing years.
In this work, we get to watch how Georgia fell apart, and some profound insights into what Sean was going through over the several years that they were separated.

Telling the story from Marley’s perspective is a stroke of genius as it not only provides some fascinating insights but also answers that might break the hearts of his readers.

Given a chance to pen a book, Marley writes about her losses, her romantic escapades, her life, and her band. However, her detractors do not know what it is they are asking for. If she agrees to do what they want, they will get more than they bargained for.

It is a story that is much more than rock and roll, the drugs, and the sex they were expecting. She is going to spill secrets that had been hidden for years and provide insights into who she is or was before now.
If she does this, she is going to give them the ugly truth and be brutally honest even though that will definitely hurt some people. Some of these people are loved ones that have already gone through a lot of suffering.
However since she does not want to take her secrets to the grave, it has to be done.
