Leslie Wolfe is a renowned novelist from the United States, who likes to write thriller, fiction, and suspense novels. She has written some very successful novels over the years of her writing career. The novels that author Wolfe has written are divided into two different series, the Alex Hoffman series and the Special Agent Tess Winnett book series. Author Wolfe is highly praised for creating the characters of Tess Winnett and Alex Hoffman. In addition to writing suspense and thriller novels, she has also penned a few standalone books. The books of Wolfe have done great businesses in all the places of their publication. They have managed to attract a large number of readers from different parts of the world. Because of her unique style of writing, characterization, plot settings, and story descriptions, author Wolfe has received praises and appreciations from many prominent critics and established fellow authors. Wolfe thinks that she has grown as a writer over the years and has become much more dedicated towards her work. The Special Agent Tess Winnett series written by author Leslie Wolfe is comprised of a total of 4 books, which were released between the years 2016 and 2018. Each and every novel of this series features the lead character in the form of an FBI Special Agent named Tess Winnett. Throughout the series, Tess Winnett is depicted as chasing serial killers and psychopaths, and trying to solve the mysterious cases that keep landing on her desk every now and then. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Dawn Girl’. It was released by the Italics Publishing in the year 2016. The book’s setting is done in West Palm Beach, Florida and it consists of the primary characters as Todd Fradella, Tess Winnett, and Gary Michowsky.

At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that a mysterious girl’s dead body is found on a deserted beach. She has blue eyes, beautiful face, and is covered in sand all over. When Tess Winnett comes to know about this discovery, this becomes very much intrigued to know about this girl. She begins looking for answers to the many questions in her mind relentlessly. The more she moves forward with the investigation, the more unsettling facts she uncovers and more shocking findings she comes across. And after gathering all the facts and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, Tess comes to the conclusion that the girl found on the beach is just one of the many victims the killer has killed in similar fashions. Tess Winnett hides her own terrible secret, but does not let it affect her focus and concentration in catching the deadly killer. She faces the inmost of her fears and races against the clock to prevent the killer from claiming another innocent life. All the while she keeps wondering whether she will be able to catch the murderer in time or whether she will be able to stop the killer at all, and if at all she manages to do so, what cost will she have to bear? The story shows Tess Winnet as a direct, bold, short fused heroine. She does not fear to put her own life at risk to unravel the truth. Tess is an intelligent, uncompromising, and resourceful lady. It’s her excellent character description that makes the novel even more gripping and suspenseful.

Another excellent book of this successful series is called ‘The Watson Girl’. This book was also published by Italics publication in 2017. The lead characters described by Wolfe in this novel include Laura Watson, Tess Winnett, etc. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that all the members of a family get murdered, except one young girl. Sometime later, she is told by the investigators that the killer has been caught and given the death sentence. For the next fifteen years, the girl believes that the killer is going to be executed for his gruesome crime. The girl grows up with the family that adopted her, but develops a deep fear from the memory of the fateful day. She was just 5 years old at that time and could not forget what she had seen. In order to overcome her fears, the girl is asked to go through therapy sessions. This girl, Laura Watson, wants to find out what had actually happened and verify whether the killed had actually been caught. But, when the real murderer comes to know about her being alive and well, he decides to kill her too and put an end to all the loose ends.

The killer doesn’t want Laura Watson to remember the horrifying night’s details and give it out to the investigating authorities. So, he plans to finish her once and for all. But, it turns out that Tess Winnett has been assigned to look into this case and make sure that justice is served. Tess Winnett forms a strong bond with Laura Watson as soon as they meet each other. She promises her that she will catch the real killer and put in all her effort in doing so. As Tess Winnett progresses further in the investigation, she comes across important clues linked the past of Laura Watson’s family. And when it it confirmed that the murderer is still out in the open, Tess begins a hunt to track him down and make sure he gets paid for his deadly crimes. Knowing that Laura Watson is the only one to make it out alive, Tess is certain that the killer will try to come after her. So, she hatches a plan to make the killer fall into her trap. This turns out to be another suspenseful case in which Tess Winnett shows her smartness, relentlessness, dedication, and determination.

   I just finished reading “ The girl from silent lake”. It was amazing and a must read, it had my attention from the first page of the book and it was hard to put the book down. It was a very good read!!! Awesome job!!

   I am registered blind and started to listen to these books. Started with the Surgeon then I’ve listened to all the series now onto the stand alone books.
   I didn’t want the series ones to end they were so good. Look forward hopefully to Baxter and z holt undercover.

   I’ve read both of the Det Sharp books; is there a 3rd? & trying to work my way thru the Tess Winnett but Amazon only has some of them on audio or kindle. Are these not in paperback form to order? Please continue the Sharp series as I’m thoroughly enjoying. Thanks

   When I was browsing Amazon it showed a new book by you in Kindle format and it has now disappeared in my search. I have up to Detective Kay Sharp book 3 and I have all Tess Winnett books, all Holt and Baxter and all Alex Hoffman books. I just need to know if I missed an e-mail with a new book coming out.
