Linda Hubalek is a bestselling author of fiction, historical romance, and general romance novels. She has made a name for herself writing novels about honorable men and strong women with a touch of drama, despair, and humor.

She sets most of her works in the Kansas prairie, which she says she loves looking at whether it is from her office window or by being outside.
She made her debut when she wrote “Butter in the Well,” the first of the “Butter in the Well” series in 2012. She now has more than fifty novels to her name spread over more than nine series.

When Linda is not writing her novels, she can usually be found reading while drinking dark chocolate, channeling her Horticulture degree by gardening or exploring the world with her husband.

She sometimes interacts with her readers on her website and social media profiles, where she gives exclusive previews of her upcoming novels.

According to Linda Hubalek, she never planned to become a writer.

Still, she embarked on her path to becoming an author when she was in the sixth grade. Her class teacher had asked the class to write a paper on what they wanted to become when they grew up and she said she wanted to become a farmer.

As such, she went to college and earned a degree in Horticulture and Agriculture from Kansas State University. Afterward, she spent several years doing agronomy research before she started a wholesale horticulture business.

“Prairie Flowers,” the company that she started grew mini pumpkins, ornamental corn, and flowers for the florist trade.

She was featured in Country Woman Magazine in 1990 at the most inopportune moment. Her husband had been transferred to California which meant she had to sell the business.

She resorted to growing pumpkins and flowers in five-gallon buckets in her own home while hoping she would one day get back to full-scale horticulture.

In time, Linda Hubalek started writing about farmland and family as she was feeling homesick. She then pivoted towards writing about her ancestors who were Swedish pioneer women that settled in Kansas during the 1800s.

Her family eventually moved back to Kansas where she lived in the lands her ancestors first lived in as they farmed bison for more than ten years. She would eventually start writing western romances set in the latter part of 19th century Kansas.

Hubalek’s novels can be found on all major booksellers such as iTunes, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon in both audio, ebook, and print formats. Deemed historical fiction, these novels are appropriate for readers of all ages.

“Rania Ropes a Rancher” by Linda Hubalek is the story of Rania Hamner whose ancestors moved to Texas from Sweden more than a decade ago. They had settled in Texas, raising cattle which they herded up Chisholm Trail.

However, herding cattle on the trail made her doubt her self-worth. She also lost the ability to become a regular wife as she could not trust any man.
But when the family goes to Kansas to sell some cattle, she meets a man that makes her believe that there could be love and trust between two people.
