Linsey Lanier is an American mystery thriller author best known for the “Miranda Right Mystery” series. With more than thirty novels and tens of short stories, Lanier has been writing for more than fifteen years. Her very popular debut novel in the “Miranda Rights Mystery” series was downloaded more than half a million times and had more than 1700 reviews. Her work has been described as chilling mysteries that keep readers up at night and have received critical acclaim with many becoming bestselling novels. While her novels are typically classified in the mystery thriller, Linsey writes in several subgenres in including romance, humorous romantic fantasy, and romantic mystery suspense novels with a dash of sass. Her novels have been nominated for several awards and contests including a Romance Writers of America contest. Lanier is a member of several writer associations including the Private Eye Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, and the Kiss of Death chapter of the Romance Writers of America. Linsey has lived all across the United States though she now lives with her husband and several yard squirrels in Georgia. When she is not writing her novels, she loves watching crime shows such as “CSI Miami,” “Hawaii Five-O” or any whodunit mystery on TV. However, she is happiest when she is creating her entertaining mysteries and interacting with her readers.

Lindsey was born to a US Navy Lieutenant and from a very young age, she had a love for reading. When she was a teen she got into romance and would read any romance novel she would find. She then got hooked into mysteries when she read a Robert B Parker novel. She was completely taken by the character of Spenser and wanted to make a female counterpart just as snarky. Lanier also wanted to write a mystery story combined with some romance and hence was born the character of Miranda Steele. Since even contemporary society does not look kindly upon smart-mouthed women, she gave her character a terrible past to explain her attitude. While she never did set out to write a series, she soon realized that telling a story of Miranda’s past and present required several novels. From then on, she wrote several more titles before she branched out adding Wade Parker to make the “Miranda and Parker Mystery” series. She currently has several series of novels that include the “Clever Detective,” “Miranda’s Rights Mystery,” “Maggie Delaney Police Thriller,” “Dandy Frost – Ninja Assassin,” “Miranda and Parker Mystery,” “McDaniel Family: A Heart Valley Romance,” and “Prasala Romance” series alongside several standalone novels and novellas.

“Someone Else’s Daughter” the first novel of the Miranda’s Rights series by Linsey Lanier introduces the lead character, Miranda Steele. She has been through a lot having been married to a violent man not too long ago. She could not take it anymore when he decided to give up her child for adoption. Since that time, she had become a drifter never staying in one place for too long. Miranda survived by taking odd jobs including working at a steel mill and in road construction, even as she tried to find any clues that would lead her to her daughter that was now a thirteen year old. Her quest soon takes her to Atlanta and the private investigations of the most eligible bachelor in town one Wade Russell Parker. At the time she gets the job, Parker who is the lead private investigator in the firm is looking for the child of one of his friends that had disappeared. But it ends in tragedy when the girl is found dead and now, they have to try to resolve the mystery of her death and find the killer. Miranda is soon deep in the investigation and while she is very effective, her disregard for rules and unorthodox ways cause problems for Parker and the agency. Miranda and Parker are soon strongly attracted to each other though she had promised herself never to get into any relationship and now finds herself fighting Parker tooth and nail. Even when she eventually gives in to him, she often pushes him away and is on her guard even though she wants the peaceful life he offers and the raw maleness of him.

Lindsey Lanier’s “Delicious Torment” continues with the story of Miranda. She has now been working for Wade Parker for several months and has now reluctantly fallen in love with him. He had lost his wife and never thought he would ever love again until Miranda came into his life. The talented, handsome and wealthy private investigator has also managed to get Miranda to completely fall in love with him. But Miranda is still dealing with the pain of losing her daughter, an abusive marriage and has a general mistrust of men. Miranda is currently working to resolve the mystery of the murder of a socialite even as she learns how to become a better detective. She is still very new to the job and taking such a case is not advisable but when the sister of the murdered woman begs her, she agrees to help. If she is to be successful, she needs to learn to trust again, control her anger and learn how to live in high society, where vindictiveness and danger are the name of the game. But her biggest test is whether she can recognize real love when it comes knocking on her door.

“Forever Mine” by Linsey Lanier has Miranda Steel having the best time of her life as everything seems to be going right for her. Thirteen years ago, she had left an abusive husband and over the years had become a detective and picked up street fighting skills and martial arts. She is also good with weapons and is one of the best private investigators at the Parker Investigative Agency. Wade Parker her boss is growing more in love with the impossible and feisty woman, though she is still battling the demons from her past. With her need to avenge the innocent, defend the defenseless, her strength of will and her irascible spirit, he knows that he has finally found his soulmate. When he thinks she is ready, he takes her back to Chicago to look for her long-lost daughter. But in Chicago, she has to deal with her terrible past and this forces her into making a decision that may change her life forever. And now bodies are turning up all over the place and she needs to find and stop some creep that has been killing women in her hometown. If she does not stop the man, she may just end up his next victim.
