An American author of paranormal romance novels, Lisa Daniels is both entertaining and highly compelling in equal measure. Instantly grabbing the reader from the very beginning, she says what it is she wants to say while entertaining them. This approach of hers has provided a fresh perspective on the genre, making for something quite different and unique in the process. Looking to create more believable and immersive fantasy worlds, she sets herself apart in a manner unlike any other.
Pushing each of her characters beyond the typical narrative, she aims to create something different from everything else that’s on offer. Creating worlds that really do feel real to explore, she allows and enables her readers to fully inhabit each and every one of her stories. From the characters to the world-building, nothing is spared, as she always pays extremely close attention to detail, making it easy to escape into. Because of this, she’s found herself a worldwide following, with readers from all over discovering and enjoying her work.
Creating characters that truly resonate, she introduced fully three-dimensional personalities that come alive on the page. Keeping her readers turning the page constantly, she holds them there, continually waiting for what’s coming next. Her protagonists also leave an impression on the reader, ensuring they feel like they come to really know each of her characters. With so much more to come still, she definitely isn’t finishing her writing career any time soon either, as there are lots more scheduled for the future.
Early and Personal Life
Growing up with a keen passion for everything literature-based, Lisa Daniels would harness her interest in reading and writing from an early age. Honing and refining her voice over time, she would come to discover her own approach to writing and what she wanted to say. This interest of hers would develop over time, allowing her to fully establish herself as a writer with something new to offer.
Previously a school teacher for over five years, she would eventually turn to writing full-time and move to Miami. This change would allow her to retire from school teaching and turn to focus on becoming an author and making a name for herself. Still currently living and working in Miami to this very day, she continues to write with more set for release on the horizon, sticking around for some years yet.
Writing Career
The first book that Lisa Daniels would publish was titled ‘Annora’s Dragon,’ and this would come out back in 2016. Setting up the ‘Dragon’s of Telera’ series of paranormal romance novels they’d also set the tone for much of her career to follow. Other series would also go on to follow in a similar vein, too, such as ‘Deep River Shifters,’ ‘Night Wolves,’ and ‘Bears of Valor,’ to name just a few.
Many omnibus editions of her work have also been published in recent years as well, collecting her novels into large compendium editions. With vast collections, she’s also gone on to write several poems, proving herself to be a more than versatile writer. She maintains a profile both offline and on, with a lot more books planned for release, as her writing career carries on growing upwards and onwards.
Summer’s Dragon
Originally coming out in 2017 on the 28th of August, this was to be the eighth book on the ongoing ‘Dragons of Telera’ series. Finishing off the franchise, it’s another fantasy romance, being part of an ongoing arc that is really best read in order. First published through the Kindle publishing platform, it would be an easy-to-read romance, although it would feature some adult content.
Waking in a crypt with absolutely no recollection of who she is, a woman must now find her way out from the City of the Dead. That’s when she discovers an otherwise cold stranger, as she believes he’s staying by her side out of sheer morbid curiosity about what will happen. Meeting people similar to the stranger, she finally hears of the Cyprian as she begins to remember her own past and life. Can she ever make her way out, just what is the stranger’s name, and what will become of the Summer’s Dragon?
This book has a real ambiance to it, as a mysterious air of suspense and intrigue is cast across the entire narrative. With strong characters situated at the center of it, it does provide a satisfying conclusion to the series as a whole. Making for an engaging story, there’s plenty to enjoy about this novel, and it definitely doesn’t leave anything out when it does come to the more adult material.
Ellie’s Bodyguard
As the fourth and final book in the ‘Bodyguards of Samhain’ series of fantasy paranormal romance novels, this would continue with another stand-alone romance. Set in the same world as before, it would carry on in much the same vein as the previous books, with its entirely self-contained narrative. Released initially on the 29th of October in 2019, it would come out on the Kindle publishing platform to an eagerly awaiting audience.
Protected ever since she was nine, Ellie has always had a bodyguard by her side, paid for by her father to keep watch. Wanting to escape from her father by any means necessary, she’s always brought back by Mason, who can shift into a dragon. She wants to get away, but she doesn’t want to hurt those around her, as she begins to develop feelings for her bodyguard Mason. Can she ever make her break for freedom, will she and Mason end up together, and what will finally become of Ellie’s bodyguard?
This book provides a quality, solid romance story that lives up to all the previous novels’ high level of quality as well. It’s a straightforward narrative with a story from a series that can be read in any particular order, with it being an easy casual read. There are some steamy passionate scenes, so it’s solely for adults, as it doesn’t hold back when it comes to depicting erotically charged moments.
