Lisa Mondello has held various jobs in her life but being a published author is the absolute last job she’s ever going to have, and she’s not retiring. She blames the creation of the personal computer for her own leap into writing books. Otherwise, she’d just be penning stories with pen and paper. Besides writing her novels, she also works as a freelance writer.

For three years, she worked in elementary education working in grades one and two writing classes and learning that even at such an early age, she could identify who was a puzzler, a pantser, a linear writer, or a plotter. She’s developed a workshop called Understanding Your Writing Profile which helps writers get organized so they’re able to write more efficiently.

Her first novel, “All I Want for Christmas is You” won Best First Book in the Golden Quill. Lisa’s books have finaled in the Colorado Award of Excellence contests and the HOLT Medallion.

“Her Heart for the Asking” is the first novel in the “Texas Hearts” series and was released in the year 2001. Mandy Morgan swore that she would never step foot into Texas again after Beau Gentry left her to go on the rodeo circuit eight years prior. However her uncle’s heart is now failing and she must convince him that surgery is going to save his life. She never dreamed that the first thing she would see once she stepped off the plane would be her largest nightmare. The man that she has not stopped loving.

It had not been Summer’s idea to move from Providence to South Dakota however when a serial killer all of a sudden turns his attention to Summer, he boss insists that she leave town, just until the heat dies down. She has dealt with high tension, life or death situation many times for her job. It’s not until she meets Sam McKinnon and falls for this sexy hotshot that she really starts to know real fear. The fear of losing somebody that she loves.
