Waterfall #1 River of Time
The waterfall is the story about two sisters who have the opportunity of traveling to Italy every summer due to their parent’s love for archeology. While on their summer holidays in Italy, The two sisters, Betarinni sisters, end up searching for a tomb that they were not supposed to locate. Inside the walls of the tomb, they end up finding handprints on the wall. As the Betarinni sisters placed their hands over the two handprints, they begin to experience various changes in their lives. Once Gabriella entered the 13th century, she discovers that she is all alone in the tomb. Gabriella is not sure where her sister, Evangelia disappeared to. While Gabriella gets out of the tomb, Marcello ends up netting her.
The waterfall is a story that is based on Gabriella’s search for her sister and her mother. Gabriella is such a wonderful protagonist; she is full of wit and spunk, and many at times end up making the readers giggle. The knowledge that Gabriella learned while growing up came in handy in her portrayal of a woman from the 13th Century. As time goes by, Gabriella finds herself developing feelings for Marcello, despite the fact that she had been betrothed first. Many at times, Gabriella does all she can to ensure that she does not fall for Marcello, mainly because of a future alliance between Marcello and Lady Rossi. Nonetheless, Gabriella finds it extremely difficult to keep her word, when she finds Marcello so attentive and attractive.
Throughout the narrative, the readers are going to find themselves at the edge of their seats, cheering on for the protagonist Gabriella as she tries to find her sister, fights against the devious Lady Rossi and her fight not to fall for the knight in shining armor. With that said, all the characters in Waterfall have been brilliantly written, and the narrative was quite believable. Readers are going to fall in love with the chemistry between Marcello and Gaby. The pull between these two characters was extremely strong such that readers will want to read more and more. Gabriella was an extremely strong protagonist.
Apart from being able to climb down a wall, Gabriella could wield a sword, give an attitude and when needed present herself as a lady. Gabriella was such a fun character. Marcello, on the other hand, was also quite an eye candy. Apart from being muscular, Marcello was also quite attentive and dreamy. The supporting cast was quite amazing as well.
Cascade #2 River of Times
Cascade is an excellent addition to the River of Times book series. Apart from getting romance, the readers also get deception, and a protagonist with more determination and willpower, which will make the readers heart pump at a faster rate. Cascade also has a worthy male counterpart who will have the readers squeezing the book in their palms. As expected, Gabriella continues to be an excellent heroine. Gabriella is quite easy to relate to and like as well. Apart from being believable, Gabriella is also quite tough as well. She is fiercely loyal and courageous as well. When everything appears to be futile and overwhelming, Gabriella is brave and is not afraid to speak as well. Gabriella makes use of her wit and readers are going to be happy being part of the rollercoaster ride. Marcello and Gabi’s relationship continues to grow; however, they continue to face different challenges.
Readers will appreciate how committed Marcello is to Gabriella. Apart from putting her first, Marcello would literary do anything for her. Despite the fact that he has different responsibilities, Gabriella would literary do anything for Gabriella and many at times put her first. In Cascade, the readers are introduced to Lord Greco, a new character. While Lord Greco is not featured a lot in the narrative, he is going to grab the reader’s attention.
Torrent #3River of Time
Torrent is the third installment in the River of Time book series. If you are looking for a rush of excitement or a rush of exhilaration, then Torrent is definitely a must read. As the third and final book in the River of Time book series, Torrent is an ideal ending to a narrative that will definitely capture the minds and hearts of the readers. The last book in a trilogy is normally the most delicate. The final chapter must not only be well crafted, but it must also live up to the initial chapters, which captured the reader’s imagination, while at the same time closing out a narrative and also giving out the missing pieces of a puzzle. Author Lisa T. Bergren hits the series center faced with the third installment, Torrent.
Torrent holds one surprise after another, with Gabi still as the lead character. In Torrent, Gabi grows and develops in ways that the readers would never have imagined. Gabi possesses the type of strengths that the readers would love to see in themselves. Despite having her weaknesses, Gabi is still able to develop and move. In Torrent, the readers have seen the narrative develop through the heartaches and trials, feeling and seeing the deaths and pains of the people that the readers had grown to care for. Each of the characters in Torrent had to push their ways through the extremely difficult times while feeling and growing as well. Overall, the torrential downpour of the awe-inspiring characters and feverish emotions has ensured that the characters have grown tremendously. The twists and turns in Torrent were amazing. The ending was fantastic as well.
