About Lori Nelson Spielman

Early and Personal Life:
Born on the 30th of April, 1961, and growing up in America, Lori Nelson Spielman would always hold a strong affinity for the written word, developing it from an early age. This would continue throughout much of her life, carrying on into her adult career as a full-time writer of romance. She also works with inner-city students as a home-bound teacher, which has provided her with plenty of experience to draw from.
Previously working as a guidance counselor, she was also a speech pathologist, before going on to become a teacher and writer. In her spare time she keeps fit and active, regularly traveling and running, all the while looking for her next big idea. Currently living in East Lansing, Michigan, she resides with both her husband and their cat, as she continues to write to this present day.
Writing Career:
Publishing her first novel back in 2013, Lori Nelson Spielman would soon be on her way to international success with the book ‘The Life List.’ This would also go on to be optioned for Fox 2000 with a film adaptation in the works, as it was published in over thirty countries in total. She also see her second novel becoming an international bestseller too, with ‘Sweet Forgiveness’ coming out in 2015.
While Spielman wouldn’t publish any series as such, preferring to opt for more stand-alone titles, she would feature similar themes and ideas in them. Many of them would also be historical novels, along with more general romance fiction, showing the diversity of her writing. Receiving lots of acclaim and plaudits over the years, she maintains a strong presence both online and off, with a lot more to come still.

First brought out through the Bantam books publishing label, this would mark the debut release from Lori Nelson Spielman as an author. Originally published in 2013 on the 2nd of July, it would feature a self-contained romance narrative, not being a part of any series. A fun and innovative story, it would also be commissioned for adaptation into a film, as it became a massive success worldwide.
This is a heartfelt romance novel which really understands its genre, making the most of the premise and setting. With strong characters that really pull the reader in, it manages to carry the narrative along with confidence and clarity. There’s plenty of intelligently written dialogue along the way too, making for an engaging and highly compelling read.

The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany
This time brought out through the Berkley publishing label, this would come out on the 17th of November in 2020. Again not a part of any series, it would feature a romance story that was also emotional and heartfelt at every turn. The characters are well drawn here, with their own personalities, as the reader roots for them every step of the way. With its scenic setting as well, the story really draws the audience in, making them feel as if they’re really there, deep in rural Italy.
Venturing through the picturesque countryside of Italy, three second-born daughters are looking to break a family curse that has said they will never find true love. This curse dates back to Filomena Fontana, who would place a curse upon her sister over two-hundred years prior, stating that she’d never find love. Heading back to their Italian homeland, their Aunt Poppy states she’ll find love at Ravello Cathedral on her eightieth birthday, thereby breaking the curse. Will this really be the case though? Can they ever hope to overcome the curse? What will become of the star-crossed sisters of Tuscany?
