Louise Bagshawe is a bestselling British writer, blogger, and ex-Conservative M.P. She has written a number of mind-blowing standalone novels and is particularly famous for her chick-lit stories. Following her successful entry into the writing world in the 1990s, Bagshawe shifted her towards politics. She contested in the 2010 general election of the US from Corby and got elected as a Conservative MP. Bagshawe resigned in 2012 and moved to New York City to join her second husband named Peter Mensch. She joined News Corporation in 2014 and co-founded its website Heat Street in 2016. After leaving Heat Street, Bagshawe has primarily worked for developing her blog called Patribotics. In 2017, Bagshawe left News Corporation completely.

Through the website Heat Street, Bagshawe has released numerous unverified claims and promoted conspiracy theories and hoaxes about the Trump government and its link to the Russian Federation. This led to her being labeled with the tag of a conspiracy theorist. Author Bagshawe was born as Louise Daphne Bagshawe on June 28, 1971, in Westminster, London. Her parents were Daphne Margaret Triggs and Nicholas Wilfrid Bagshawe, who raised her with the Catholic belief. Bagshawe received her schooling from Beechwood Sacred Heart School in Turnbridge Wells and Woldingham School in Surrey. Later, she studied English Literature and Language at Christ Church, Oxford. After her graduation, Bagshawe took the job of the Oxford Union Secretary. She has one brother and 2 sisters, one of whom is the popular author and freelance journalist named Tilly Bagshawe.

When Bagshawe 18 years old, she was declared as Young Poet of the Year. Then, she earned a 6-month MTV Europe internship and followed it up by working for EMI Records as a press officer. Bagshawe has also worked for Sony Music for some time. With the use of her maiden name, Bagshawe began writing stories in the chick-lit genre. In all, she published 17 books and sold more than two million copies worldwide. She made her debut as an author with the 1995 book called Career Girls. Even her sister likes to write chick-lit stories. Author Bagshawe has highly advocated the genre and has said that it encourages girls to have ambitions in life. All her novels feature female leads who make it on their own.

Bagshawe has openly said that she cannot write about drippy characters like Cinderella because she doesn’t admire such women. In addition to her maiden name, Bagshawe has penned a few books under the pen name of Louise Mensch. As her parents were highly active in the Conservative party, she also joined it at the age of 14. But, she moved to the Labor Party in 1996. A year later, Bagshawe came back to the Conservatives to help her mother win the East Sussex County seat.

In 2000, Bagshawe married an Italian/American real estate developer named Anthony LoCicero. After becoming parents of three children, the couple separated in 2009 and got divorced. In 2011, Bagshawe came across Peter Mensch, whom she knew from 20 years before, and married. They have resided in New York City since 2012. Author Bagshawe suffers from a medical condition called ADHD, which made her believe that she was self-medicating her stress with wine. Now, she has given up alcohol completely. During a BBC interview, Bagshawe claimed to have taken hard drugs during her early 20s and said that she regretted it later. She only realized later she has messed up with her brain due to the consumption of hard drugs when she was diagnosed with a mental health condition that caused her to become over-anxious at times.

A popular book written by author Louise Bagshawe is entitled ‘Glamour’. It was released by the Headline Book Publishing in 2007. The central characters mentioned in this novel include Sally Lassiter, Helen Yanna, Jane Morgan, and a few others. Initially, it is depicted that Sally Lassiter hails from Texas, Jane Morgan comes from England, and Helen Yanna is a native of Jordan. All three of them come together at an exclusive school for girls in Los Angeles. They become close friends and promise that nothing is going to make them move apart. However, two of the three ladies find themselves penniless and grieving when they are struck by catastrophe. The third woman is forced into a fate that she had never imagined. As the women indulge in rebuilding their lives, they come together to launch a high-end store and name it Glamour. And as their spirits rise high with recognition and money, they realize how promises change when they are not bound by lust or objected by money. By taking a look at their own struggle and their story of rags to riches, they come to believe that nothing can be as worthy as glamor.

Another exciting book written by Bagshawe is known as ‘The Devil You Know’. It was published in 2004 by St. Martin Paperbacks. The lead characters created for this novel include Poppy Allen, Daisy Markham, Rose Fiorello, and several others. The book opens by mentioning that Rose Fiorello hails from New York. She is sexy, smart and grew up in poor conditions. Rose Fiorello has a deep hatred for Rothstein Realty in her heart, a developer responsible for the downfall of the business of her father. She hatches a plan to take revenge and make things even with her enemy. Poppy Allen is a Los Angeles girl. She was raised in a pampered society.

Poppy has become bored with the smothering cocoon of the privileged life of her parents and wants to escape it and enjoy the excitement of the outside world. She wants to become a rock star and embrace the life that rock stars live. The third girl in this story is Daisy Markham. She is bullied at school and keeps herself indulged in bestsellers to not think of the misery that she is experiencing at her boarding school. Later, she discovers that if she succeeds in writing an interesting story, she will not only achieve acceptance of her classmates, but also the love of the man that she has secretly started to love. As the 3 gutsy women step forward to achieve their dream, their worlds get exploded due to a brutal act that was committed several years ago. Subsequently, the betrayal is revealed that stole 3 baby girls’ heritage without their knowledge. Now, they have reunited with the single passion of taking revenge and making the people responsible for their miserable lives pay for their brutal acts.
