Louise Voss
Author Louise Voss has worked in the music business, working for EMI and Virgin Records, and later as a product manager for an independent label in New York. She has also been Director of Sandie Shaw’s company out in London.

She has an MA (Dist) from Kingston University in Creative, and she has done a bunch of work over the years as a literary tutor, mentor, and consultant for different writers.

She and her writing partner, Mark Edwards, were the first UK indie-published authors to hit number one on Amazon.co.uk in the year 2011.

She saw him on a television documentary about wannabe writers back in the year 1999, she found herself identifying with him. Both had agents and had penned two politely rejected manuscripts by then. Mark read from his recent novel, which Louise thought was very good. They eventually became regular email pen pals with one another, talking about writing and music they liked.

After some time, they began exchanging their work, and would edit the other’s chapters. From that point on, it didn’t seem like much of a stretch to begin writing something together.

Louise writes the “DI Patrick Lennon” series and the “Kate Maddox” series, as well as some stand alone novels. Her work is from the mystery and general fiction genres, the first of which, called “To Be Someone”, was released in the year 2001.

“To Be Someone” is the first stand alone novel and was released in the year 2001. Helena Nicholls, a former world famous pop star and prime-time disc jockey, wakes up in the hospital to find that her career, looks, and her personal life are all in ruins. Her boyfriend has let her down, and the only person she loved most in the world and her best friend since she was five years old is now dead. She feels like she belongs nowhere, and her sense of self, which was fragile at the best of times, has shattered.

While Helena starts the agonizing journey to recovery, she thinks about the events in her life that have brought her to where she is. Those memories, which are bad and good, combine with all of the songs that are forever associated with them, are the milestones on her journey.

Her world gets rocked by a chance meeting with one of her old friends, she sees some glimpses of the future she might be able to have. If she is to even have an opportunity at any of that happiness, she has to conquer her troubled past and then work out what it truly means to be somebody.

“Lifesaver” is the third stand alone novel and was released in the year 2004. If you save somebody’s life, you then become responsible for them. When Anna gets a letter from Adam, who thanks her for saving his son Max’s life with her donating bone-marrow, it is the first positive thing that has happened to her in a long time. Grief-stricken over the recent loss of her child, she has failed to give life in the past. Now, this young boy is healthy and alive because of her and it is a heady realization for her.

Anna desperately wants to get to know Max, but she is terrified of how responsible she really feels for the four year old boy. She decides not to tell anybody about him or that she has set up a meeting with his father. She quickly gets immersed in a complex double life, spending half of her week with her husband, who thinks she is filming out of town. The other half she is with Adam and Max. Anna has lied to Adam about who she really is. She has also lied about her marriage. Quickly, these lies are going to begin catching up with her.

“Games People Play” is the fourth stand alone novel and was released in the year 2005. Rachel just wants to be the most successful British tennis player of all time, and to actually keep one of her boyfriends. This is not an easy feat because her life appears to be made up of training, tournaments, and traveling. Michelle, Rachel’s mom, just wants Billy to come back. Her second husband just left her for another woman after they spent ten years of domestic bliss together in their pink clapboard house in Lawrence, Kansas. Gordana, Rachel’s grandma, just wants her family to be happy. Once upon a time, she believed she wanted to be a singer just like Sandie Shaw, before realizing later life doesn’t work out the way you want it to.

The one person they have in common is Ivan, who is Michelle’s ex-husband, Gordana’s son, and Racel’s dad. He now has some large problems of his own, and he once was a tennis player just like Rachel is now. Michelle won’t speak to him because she found out he has been keeping a horrible secret from everybody that loves him. Rachel refuses to speak to him since she blames him for the break-up with her most serious and previous boyfriend. Gordana does nothing but attempt to speak to him, however he does not want to confess to the only person still sort of on his side.

The lynchpin of the family, Gordana, then falls ill. All of them become forced to spend time together during a time when their lives are changing quickly, all three women start to look at themselves and one another, in an extremely different light.

“From the Cradle” is the first novel in the “DI Patrick Lennon” series and was released in the year 2014. The first child was grabbed from her house, while the second was taken from his mom’s car, and the third right out of her own bedroom.

Sean and Helen Phillips go out one evening, and leave their teen daughter to babysit little Frankie. They have no idea at all they will face each and every parent’s single greatest fear.

Detective Inspector Patrick Lennon hopes that the three kids abducted in this part of south-west London are going to be returned unharmed. A body is found in the local park, and Lennon knows time runs out and he knows that nothing is like it appears in this case.
