Lucinda John
Author Lucinda John was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 27, 1993. She discovered her love of writing at the age of thirteen. She would write and win numerous contests and earn high writing scores on her standardized tests.

Lucinda became an avid reader during her freshman year of high school. Reading books ranging from Harper Lee to Sista Soulja, reading became an escape zone for her.

When she was sixteen years old, she gave birth to Kamari, her oldest son, and was determined to create a better life for her and her child.

After she graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in June of 2011, becoming a writer had crossed her mind, however due to the lack of support she went another route. Even though she was in college to pursue a different career that she did not enjoy it so she chose to take a chance with her first love: writing.

And in September of 2014, she submitted her first novel “Fallin’ For A Boss” to Myss Shan of Shan Presents. Thrilled about her submission getting accepted her career took off full speed. And now, not only is she a published author, she’s also CEO and founder of Dope Pen Productions, which is a sub publishing company under David and Shan Weaver.

She still enjoys reading, however now her passion for writing is now a rewarding career that she enjoys.

“Down to the Last Sip” is the first novel in the “Down to the Last Sip” series and was released in 2020. When Hennessy in your system, there ain’t no tellin’ what can happen and this story isn’t any different. Growing up Hennessy never saw herself as anything more than just a misfit, a screwup, but how could she not? Her parents were these two screw ups who were far too stupid to realize that an abortion would’ve really been the better option.

Hennessy Daniels, named after her dad’s favorite dark liquors, was doomed the moment that her over aged drunk of a dad decided he’d procreate with her teen coke addict mom that only brought her into this world only to neglect her every need. Hennessy, forced to grow up before her time, seeks solace out in all of the wrong places which thrusts her into this world of bad choices. Spiraling her young life out of control.

“That East Side Love” is the first novel in the “That East Side Love” series and was released in 2020. Diamond isn’t your typical teen. With her from Bobby, her best friend, she turns to the streets and starts selling drugs as her source of income. “Love Don’t Have to Hurt” is a stand alone novel and was released in 2020. When her dad died of cancer, Aimee’s dreams of becoming a professional dancer had to be placed on hold. Living paycheck to paycheck, she works on helping her mom pay off her debts, taking care of her brother, and even goes to a few classes at a community college.

When Shanice, Aimee’s best friend, presents her with the idea of dancing at a strip club for extra cash, she meets Lucas. A slap, punch, and some kicks is how Aimee can explain her rather abusive relationship with Lucas. The guy is supposed to be her safe haven, but is the one that’s causing the most pain to her, both emotionally and physically.

Mayhem never expected complications to rise, however when they did, he was ready to take the fall knowing that his brothers were more than capable of handling things until he was free once more.

She starts digging up every skeleton in Tiny’s life in hopes to lead him away from her captivity.
