Lucy Daniels is one of the highly reputed authors from America, who is famous for writing books based on the genre of children’s books. The name is in fact the pen name used by author Ben M. Baglio for writing a section of his children’s book series. Author Lucy is credited for creating the briefs for two of his highly popular novel series known as the Dolphin Diaries and the Animal Ark series. As for the Dolphin Diaries series is concerned, author Lucy has a small girl’s story, who lives in Florida along with her family. They often go on journeys to various countries of the world and try to carry out studies based on the dolphins. The girl and her family members love to work as marine biologists. In the other series known as the Animal Ark, author Lucy has shown the life story of a couple of children who come together to help all those animals who require help and care. The children also tend to solve the various mysteries related to the injuries to harms caused to the animals. Each and every book in the two series were penned down by some of the commissioned authors, who received instructions from author Lucy at various stages while developing the plots of the books. The books were then released in the UK under the pseudonym. On all the book’s, copyright page, author Lucy has added a special gratitude section for all those writers who helped him in developing the two series. Both the novel series were published in the USA under the original name of novelist Lucy. In one his interviews, author Lucy has made it clear that his original name was used as a pen name for the collection of all the authors who were involved in the development of the books of both the famous series.

Under the original name, author Lucy has penned down one more book series, which is known as ‘The Pet Finders Club’. In this children’s book series, he has described a small group of 3 kids, who like to indulge in finding the lost pet animals of people. The birth of author Lucy had taken place in the year 1960 in New York, The United States. For most part of his growing up days, he used to live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Later, author Lucy went on to complete his graduation from the Pennsylvania University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature. Soon after, he began writing stories and books. Right from the beginning, he was interested in writing about children’s books. But, during the initial days of his writing career, he hardly received any success from the publication of his children’s books. However, with the passage of time, his works started getting noticed, which helped him to get recognized for his hard word and dedicated efforts. And after a few years in this field, he was finally able to establish himself as one of the prominent novelists of the children’s book genre. In relation to writing and publication works, author Lucy divides his time between the New York City and England. Very recently, he has purchased a house in England and has started living there.

In the Pet Finders series, author Lucy has described the story of a girl called Andie Talbot. She lives in Radcliffe, Lancaster, and has a Russell Terrier who she calls Buddy. It escapes on one occasion and gets lost at the time of a thunderstorm. Andie sets out to find Buddy and eventually becomes a good friend of Tristan Saunders. He too seems to have lost his cat called Lucy. While searching for their pets, Tristan and Andie come across a lost Labrador that belongs to Natalie Lewis. Later, all the three form a team and begin to work towards helping the lost pets. There is another animal pet series written by author Lucy called as ‘Jess the Border Collie’. This series features an eleven year old girl named Jenny Miles She lives on the farm of her family that has only sheeps and no pet. One of the newborn puppies on the farm gets born with a defective leg. Jenny tries to convince her father that it will be worthy to save the puppy. After its treatment and recovery, the puppy begins to help Jenny in her work and this way it proves to be useful. Jenny names the puppy as Jess and along with it, she also starts helping her father on the farm as well as the neighbors.

One of the well known novel series written by Lucy Daniels is titled as ‘Animal Ark Pets’ series. This series is a part of the original Animal Ark novel series written by author Lucy. The series consists of a total of 30 books which were released between the years 196 and 2002. Just like the original series, this series too features Mandy Hope in the lead role. The debut book written in this series by Lucy is titled as ‘Puppy Puzzle’. It was first published in the year 1996 and then again republished in 1999. At the beginning of the book, author Lucy has described two supporting characters named Sarah and James. On the occasion of the Pet Day at their school, both of them come with their new puppies in class. But, in a flash of time, the two puppies run away together. After some time, only one of the puppies comes back. As a result, Sarah becomes very sad. She thinks that she is not going to get back her puppy. They approach Mandy Hope and ask her to help them find the lost puppy. She also agrees to help them. Another popular book written in the series by Lucy Daniels is titled as ‘Kitten Crowd’. This book was released in 1996. Later, the Scholatic publishers re-released it in the year 1999. In the opening scene of the novel, author Lucy has shown that Mandy Hope likes the company of animals. She understands all their emotions and seems to understand how they feel. The fact that she has vet parents makes her job of caring for the pet animals even simpler. In the later part of the plot, Mandy is shown to come across 6 fluffy kittens. Seeing the cute kittens, she is not able to leave them alone. Mandy decides to make a new home for the kittens. Her parents also help her out in finding a home for the lovely pets.
